There was nothing but silence. It was unending, or so the being thought. Moments later, there was a cracking sound and a sudden force, yanking him from his quiet... Home? The darkness remained but the sound was quieting as the newborn laid against the hard ground, uncertain what had come of him and his home. His gangly body didnt work in unison with his brain as of yet, forcing him to look like some kind of horse foal when he attempted to make use of the long appendages he had protruding from his center. The wet thing stood finally after moments of trial and error. His pale purple eyes open wide but seeing nothing - the pupil no more than a small black dot with a cloudy glaze. He blinked slow, ears swiveling as he listened to the foreign sounds of an unknown land. His nose even worked on the scents, but his lack of imagery didnt give him much clue as to what exactly he could hear and smell.
He stood perfectly still for the longest time, just listening and smelling with wide eyes staring at nothing. Soon his legs began to itch for movement and so the young male tenatively stepped with his skinny legs. He traveled some more, however he didnt make it far - just a simple circle until he faced what he previously knew as home. He paused then and listened some more as well as smell some more. The smell of the giant opal flourite stone of which he came from intriqued him and so he pressed closer until he nose came in abrupt contact with the hard stone.
As if his eyes could get any wider, they found a way. Upon contact with the stone of which he was birthed from, fleeting images ran through his mind. Now the boy has never had eyesight, he has only been born for a few minutes now. But somehow the boy saw the stone. It was many colors, but he knew them to be purple. How did he know this exactly? He couldnt be sure snd he was almost a bit afraid to try again. He backed up from the stone then, but the sound of something caught his attention and he turned towards it, his ears and nose working to find it while his eyes stared straight ahead, watching nothing.
