This was stupid. Why was he doing this? Honestly he wasn't really sure. Something about coins and shiny stuff in exchange for some berries or something like that? He didn't really care about coins, didn't even really understand what they were used for. But he figured he could bring them to the Shapers, maybe ask them what they were about, what he could do with them, and see if they wanted them? Who knows, maybe he could get something out of them.

For now though, he would push through the downdraught of heat that wafted over him and searched for find a berry bush.

Well damn, he was certainly spending his time looking, wasn't he?

He just couldn't find it at first, and he certainly tried. At one point, he thought he saw a bush that might have some berries, but as he started to move swiftly over to it, he ended up tripping down a small incline he hadn't noticed and went head over hoof down to the bottom, landing on his side with a grunt.

Shit. Good thing no one saw that.

He grumbled softly to himself as he slowly pulled himself up, shaking out his coat and kicking the ground for a moment, annoyed and angry. Partially at himself but mostly at the ground for coming out from under him, because that's totally what just happened.

He took a deep breath and sighed softly, trying to regain his composure for a moment. It took him some time, and in this time he didn't really find anything, knowing he was much too stressed, and finally took a few breaths, relaxing and calming himself again.

After practicing his deep breaths and his calming thought, he nodded to himself and started to head forward again, only to notice something at his feet a bit too late. Of course he wasn't really looking for anything other than the berry bush, so why would he notice the river was directly in front of him.

That is until he stepped and fell face first directly into the slowly running water. He sputtered and quickly scrambled to his feet, trying his hardest to not scream into the heavens right now. Were these berries even worth it anymore?! He was starting to think they weren't.

That it, he was done.

After shaking himself off and turning to stomp away, he began to leave, and only then, after all this shit that he just went through, was when he found the thing. You've got to be kidding me. He grumbled softly as he stomped over, putting more force into his steps then needed.

There wasn't a lot of tact as he reached in with his mouth and pulled off a branch of the bush, just taking a whole branch of berries and stomping off with his prize, wet and annoyed.
