Of course this guy had to complicate her victory lap. She felt the tell-tale shift of air that every cat owner knows instinctually - you have chosen to touch The Belly. Prepare to die.

Relic was foolish to think Rajani would lie down and take it, anyways. Any fighter worth their salt would try to use and opportunity to turn the tide. She'd have to respect that, and she would.

Fortunately, Relic didn't need to do much other than avoid his grasping claws again. However, she was beginning to learn that was a harder task than she had assumed. Cats tend to be fast - she found herself grappled again as she was pulled downward into the ground again.

Maybe she should start biting him.

He pulled her down with him, smirking slightly at how easy this was. They may be a good fighter, but grappling was clearly not their forte. Perhaps he would mess with them about that later. They certainly seemed rather interesting, and even though he still thought the armor was stupid, he figured they were still a good enough fighter.

He shifted his weight to try and pin them under him, his large clawed paws pushing them down as he flicked his tail, grinning slightly in excitement. He aimed to basically lay over them, using his bulk to keep them pinned with his claws pushing into them, trying to push them as far into the ground as he could. As much as he was quiet and antisocial, he still loved a good brawl.

Relic found herself being squashed under Rajani's weight - one slip up and she was staring loss in the face. He'd almost - almost - turned the match around in a couple of seconds, exploiting her mistake perfectly.

She grit her teeth as she fought the pin, her paws finding purchase on the floor. Her muscles strained, everything ached, but slowly but surely, she hauled herself onto her feet again -

And that was the match. She'd won by hair's breadth, but Relic had still won. It made her feel a little bad for her opponent. If he'd had just a little more time to find his footing like he had, Rajani would've had it.

She turned to him, her helmet sporting an oddly large amount of cat scratches, having absorbed some of the lacerations Rajani had inflicted. Relic offered a respectful little nod. "Close one. Thanks for a good fight."

And with that, it was time to prepare for the next one.

He panted softly as he stood up, shaking out his fur for a moment. They were a decent fighter, he'd give them that, perhaps they could spar again later. For now though, he wanted to take a moment to rest and relax, feeling like he hadn't gotten a chance to do so in quite a while.

He remained quiet, simply nodding with a small hint of a smile on his lips before turning to leave, dipping his head to the judge too before vanishing in the distance.
