The fight had at last drawn into close quarters and both Azrael and Shrike took advantage of it, Azrael pressing forward to continue raining blows while Shrike found an opening to lash out, jump-kicking high. But he had been warily watching each moment, knowing that she'd charge in any opening, so he was ready for the attack, dodging to the side as the kick came up, and then pushing forward.

The wing was right in front of him, down from the single flap, and he reached for it, grabbing for feathers, for the muscled arm, anything to give him leverage to turn her momentum against her and pull her to the ground.

ROUND 5/5

ATTEMPT: grab her wing and pull her to the ground
DEFENSE: none
INJURIES: a little sore

Crap.
She was on the ground, whichi was... not great. It was bad, actually, and the weight and the pain of the slam, though mitigated by adrenaline, was still a hell of a stun. She tried not to wheeze TOO audibly but already she could feel: this was gonna bruise.

Beyond that was the roar of Chaos in her veins. Or perhaps it was best to say, arteries, for it throbbed and howled through her body in a rushing cascade that drove all such thoughts, and any others, into a miasmatic cloud of violence. Slammed as she was, she couldn't do much. Nevertheless she struck out, anywhere she could: a battering of strong wings, the striking of her beak, the kicking of claws.

It did not change the fact that she was upside-down with a demon fighting her, one who had the clear upper hand. Hands. (Four hands.) But the Chaos did not care.
