This litter was Successful! It will emerge on August 20th, 2026.

Tectus will not be able to conceive again until November 20th, 2026.

The Jacinth is a massive bird-dragon in general appearance. It shares Tectus's overall size in terms of body frame, albeit far more lightly built and flight-capable. The wings are extremely long and narrow, in the shape of a Ghostbird/albatross's wings, and generally held directly outward for soaring, rarely flapped; two claws jut from the 'wrist' joint but serve no real purpose. The face is keratinized, rigid, sharp and tough like a bird's beak, but fanged like Tectus's maw. The cyan eyes, nostrils and other mucus membranes do not glow, but are still brightly colored in direct light.

Thick feathering covers the entire body, with a few thick spikes like Tectus's hidden beneath, or in the case of the face, jutting out as small "horns." The legs are powerful but short, with fluffy feathering down around the legs to the toes, resembling an owl's feet; the toes where the feathering ends are scaled and dark blue-grey, like a bird's, with long, thick talons. A ruff of longer feathers runs like a collar around the base of the neck, almost vulture-like.

The tail is long, more slender than Tectus's, with spikes beneath the long feathers. A small crest frames the head; from the front, the face is raptorial, with a single pair of forward-facing eyes like those of a bird of prey (or an albatross/Ghostbird); the neck is held outward and low in flight. It has no outward ears, with the ear function hidden beneath thick feathering. This creature is highly cold-adapted, and will be somewhat uncomfortable in very warm caves.

Jacinth T-One will be going up for adoption! This creature will start in the Task Force and was created with the purpose of monitoring Ursa or as a cold-adapted fighter in case another attack on Ursa occurs.

If you are interested in adopting, please list the personality and plans you intend and I'll choose in a couple of week!

Hi hello, I forgot I was going to apply for this. And then I remembered.

Not going to formally write a personality piece yet because I still need to ruminate on the nuances, but I'm thinking that because it'll be a cold-adapted fighter/monitor for Ursa, it will very quickly learn how to entertain itself. And this will usually be slightly at the expense of others. When not utilizing that A+ camouflage for the snowy whiteness of Ursa, Jacinth will very much be like a bin chicken in spirit: Gross, dirty and quite undignified. It loves to roll in dirt and mud and use all of the magic and techniques it learns from its fellows in the Task Force to make everyone else as dirty as possible. Best way to lure out Order and locate entrances is to make it as dirty and asymmetrical as possible, after all. >:)

In time, I think Jacinth will be perfectly happy working for the Task Force and beneath Tectus, but will also be inclined toward earning her way toward the right to her own hobbies and interests unrelated to surveillance and law enforcement, like going fishing in Leo and making a great number of trinkets and treasures. Perhaps even make a few terrible little offspring of her own to menace the Hive with like a flock of seagulls.

Very willing to serve its role for the Task Force monitoring Ursa, though somewhat less willing to follow direct orders. It likes to put its own spin on whatever task is put before it, accomplishing it to varying degrees of quality though with the same overzealous nature nonetheless. It overcommits to whatever it puts its mind to to an extreme extent, even when the plan is clearly going wrong. Perhaps with time it will learn adaptability?

Meanwhile, it is perfectly fine in solitude and silence, though when it is lonely, it will seek out lesser birds for company with screeching calls. Other lessers are less fortunate. It will actively hunt lessers for their gemstones to adorn its own body with or to create art in the snow. To many, it may come off at shy, but really, it doesn't know how to put its thoughts into words. Sometimes it's easier to just avoid social interaction rather than try to deal with another embarrassing encounter.

Plans-wise I think this is a character who will start out in Ursa which will shape its personality, but grow through encounters with others to expand its horizons.

NOTE: I think I'm going to withdraw this application, don't think I'll have time to properly rp this out in college
