For a few days Raava had remained with Niru. She followed him around, did as he asked, played with him, slept next to him and even had him accompany her on her first attempt to forage for food in Orion. Unfortunately, a room of rock and stone wasn’t quite generous with it’s sustenance selection. Beyond a few rocks and dry twigs there was not much to choose from, and all of those things had tasted awful! Hunger pangs were getting worse by the day, and though she might have liked for Niru to come with her to go looking…She also knew he didn’t want to leave Orion. Raava couldn’t quite put her paw on it, but he seemed attached to the place and she would have nothing to do with making her friend uncomfortable. So instead, the young tigress had wandered back through the very tunnel she was born in, giving Niru no notice that she was gone so as not to worry him. In her head, that was the right thing to do when in actuality, the second the lion found her missing it would probably make it worse. Children often didn’t see the long term of affects of things, and even for someone so quick to catch on as Raava, she was no exception. Through bouts of ice and snow the golden tiger cub wandered, wide eyed at the wonders the tunnel had to offer before the mouth of the corridor opened up into a very new place.
Here, more snow and ice could be see. White flecks of snow falling from the ceiling and covering Raava in light layers until she shook her pelt and laughed, batting at a few of the flakes that came down before her. She had never seen anything quite like this and was simply enchanted with it. Running, jumping, making quite the ruckus as she attempted to catch as many snow flakes as she possible could in her mouth before a dip in the floor tripped up her pace and she went rolling down a slight embankment and unto a patch of ice. ”Ooof.” The cub muttered, having to use her claws to get any sort of traction on the slippery surface. Turning around her bi-colored eyes laid upon what appeared to be some sort of pond, the middle portions unfrozen as a waterfall came crashing down on one side, but most of the edges were frozen solid. ”Oooo, pretty!” Raava announced, though no one was even around to hear her. After a few moments of admiring the sight, the tigress delicately inched closer to the edge of the ice, jumping back only when it cracked under her weights and paw fell into the freezing water. ”Cold! Cold!” She exclaimed, shaking her over sized paw as though that would aid heating it back up. ”Hemm, I wonder if I can climb back up.” The incline she’d fallen down wasn’t exactly steep, but Raava was still fairly small and the mud looked slippery.
The roar in her stomach had her sweet features turning sour, crouching down for a moment to wait out the pain that gnawed at her insides. ”Hungrrrrrry.” She whined, allowing her nose to touch upon the ice while she waited for it to pass. It took a few moments, but eventually the pain subsided and the cub began to walk along the edges of the bank and ice where it was thickest, looking for a place where the hill to get back up wasn’t quite so steep.
