The creature felt herself awakening, for the first time aware of her senses. And her senses were telling her that it was time to move! Move where? Anywhere! Suddenly she felt like she was being crushed – like she just had to get out of whatever was surrounding her! The world felt heavy and she couldn’t see anything. Her body felt cramped, and something was squeezing around it. She began to panic, wondering if she would ever get out. She tried to move her arms so that she could press her hands against the sides of her prison, but her arms were stuck, as was the rest of her.

She let out a whimper, beginning to push her back upwards, against the curved… thing that held her in place. She felt it give way a little, and heard a deep crack as the hard substance began to break with her efforts. She kept pushing even though it hurt her body to do so. Pushing and pushing as more cracking sounds filled her ears, along with the sound of her panting. Without even noticing, she accessed her Magicka, instinctively using her Budge spell to try and help her break the stone prison...

With what sounded like the shattering of a boulder, a sound that nearly deafened the gorilla, she managed to cast the spell she was unaware of casting, and it helped push her the rest of the way out of her sodalite chrysalis. She was immediately exhausted by both her physical and mental efforts, and her Magic left her, as did the strength it took to keep her from passing out. She slumped over into the muddy water of the Cetus. Her chrysalis had formed inside of a trench in the Crags, and now she lay half-soaked face-up in the water, passed out for who knows how long...

What a way to enter the world...

There was only one word to describe Louie and that was lost. Entirely lost as he stumbled through the mist and fog, teeth chattering but his head held high. No enemies would dare venture in here right? It was suicide for him to even consider this was a good idea coming here. Not even sure of which direction he was going, he meandered through the forest until the unmistakable sound of smashing crystalline substance caused him to swivel around and stand to attention. Immediately followed by an echoed splash as he attempted to circle closer to where the sound was coming from.

Steeple like rocks rose out from the ground as he neared where he had assumed the crackling had originated. Defiantly, he stood in the almost doorway shaped entrance to the trenches and ridges and shivered once. Larger things would eat a poor Louie and he knew he couldn't combat them with what little magic he had left now. That wouldn't stop him if it would end him gaining another powerful ally.

Instead, he opted to call out once, in as strong of a voice as he could muster, "Hello?" Good start, the obvious fall back for a situation like this ended in him wandering through into an empty room and being stabbed to death but the presence of the gorilla hadn't been noted. Just realizing he'd broken the one rule about being stealthy and avoiding predators (he'd basically set himself up to get eaten now), he hastily made his way into the system, head up and tail erect.

Little Aza’zel was exploring once again, this time making his way through new and foreign tunnels. The small Lammergeier knew not what this place was called, only that some strange mist floated in the air, clinging to the young vulture’s juvenile feathers. Carmine little orbs flickered as he waddled around in the thick mist, giving out a call every once in a while. Chills rose up the bird’s spine, and he was on high alert. He didn’t like to be away from his bones for too long. "Not like this place…" Little Aza’zel chirped, giving a small squawk of distaste.

Rusty little crown whirled as the sound of loud splashes came to his thoughts, nostrils flaring uselessly. He already had a terrible sense of smell, so he could only rely on his sharp eyesight. Gazing deep into the mist, the creature ducked low and strode toward a rather large figure in the distance. Flapping his wings experimentally, the bird managed to escape the clutches of gravity momentarily before gliding over to this potential friend. When he landed closer, he found the carnage of a rock egg and a… black thing in a puddle of dirty brown liquid. Mud? Carmine orbs glinted as the bird squinted, taking in the features of this freshly hatched Gembound. He did not notice the fox nearby, nor did he really care about it right how. Right now, he was simply curious about this little critter that just hatched. He couldn’t see well enough through the mist to tell what it was, so he’d wander back a few steps and flap his wings, releasing as much pressure magic as he could. Hopefully it’d be enough to dispel the fog long enough to see who this young Gembound was… if they were anyone yet.

With a breath of wind flowing from his wings, the bird watched as wind was expelled from about him, clearing the thick fog for a while. Even then, it began to creep back slowly. Carmine eyes flickered quickly, and the bird dared to approach, claws at the edge of the mud puddle. What was this thing? It had really weird paws… and was pretty big for a freshly hatched Gembound. "Who are you?" He tilted his head, asking himself that question. Then he tilted his beak downward, nudging the critter’s arm harmlessly. Could he help it up? Now his talons were submerged in the mud, and it squelched noisily between his toes. "Gross" He muttered, then looking back to the gorilla. "Can get up? Aza’zel will help up." Aza’zel spoke, his voice raucous from concern. His new friend had to get up! He wanted them to get up! Was it a girl or a boy? He was not sure.

OOC: Please don't write as much as I did, I don't feel like having to type that much again. XD

The young gorilla Gembound was completely dead to the world. Of course, she wasn’t really dead. Just passed out from lack of energy, or rather, the expulsion of a ton of energy. But from somewhere deep down in her unconscious mind, she heard the small calling of a, “Hello?” And while this wasn’t enough to get her to awaken, the next creature to come along definitely woke her up. There was loud squawking and the sound of a scratchy voice talking to her and then something nudged her. She groaned, trying and failing to get the noises and nudges to leave her alone so she could rest in peace, but it was too late.

Her eyes opened of their own accord and she looked around in the dim light. The fog wasn’t as thick as before. She could see just a bit more clearly, not that she had seen much when she’d first burst from her stone prison. The presence of the bird was alarming, and she let out a cry and backed away, scooting in the muddy water until her back hit one of the crags that surrounded them. Like Aza’zel, she hadn’t yet seen the fox either, and probably would have been utterly terrified if they both appeared to her at the same time.

Blue (who didn’t know her name yet) was a shy creature, despite the fact that gorillas are naturally social. Having just emerged from her egg, she felt herself overwhelmed by all the stimuli, and let out little whimpers of fear and confusion, brown eyes flicking between the bird and the crags and the water and the shattered pieces of her egg. Her right hand, which lay in her lap, was what attracted the most of her attention, however. There was something… shiny on the back of her hand. Forgetting her fear momentarily, she picked up her hand and brought it close to her face. There… there was a beautiful blue-white polished stone sitting nestled in the fur, but still obvious, in the back of her hand. It was beautiful. She cooed with delight at it, smiling a little…

Everything was rather spooky, and as the raucous almost shrill cry broke free of the vulture embodiment of his particular Neonate the fox darted for cover, pressing himself into a small weather hole beneath an overhang in the rock arches. It didn't seem unfriendly, more concerned. Seeing as the sound was only echoed by the rocks, he was surprised at the clarity of the words spoken. The thick stench of rotting leaves and twigs signaled there was mud up ahead, but the scent of gorilla and bird were unfamiliar to him. Not really sure what this would bring, he cast out with his White Sense to feel for others within the area.

roll edit

Smatterings were brought back, the microbes beneath the great apes fists were the most active and thus brought back the most result. Inhaling deeply through his nose, his head begun to buzz in an almost ecstasy at the feeling that it brought. It was addictive. Louie couldn't delay much longer, he could feel there was microbes just behind the rock where he was hiding. Everywhere else brought back nothing but he marked that down to inexperience on his own part. Heart pumping, he wriggled out from his place now covered in dirt, the stone under his chin lightly dusted with the particles. Peering around the rock, he spotted the large feathered one and an odd looking creature. Whatever it was, it was larger than him. Both were actually larger than him and he let out a chirrup signalling his presence, before quickly darting back behind the rock.

Many things were possible. It appeared from the broken crystal that one of them had just emerged. Since the feathered one was more talkative and the black looking one was just. She looked like she was a newborn. Sneaking another peek, he could make out that the feathered one was more advanced in his movements too. No longer concerned about whether or not this would mean the death of him, he strode out and took up a defensive posture glancing from one to the other. He barked, but didn't speak much, "Who are you?" Eyebrows taking up a triangle shape as he scowled deeply at them, his pelt was bristled along his back.

The fog crept in again, but the small ape beneath the bird stirred a little, giving a small moan. Of course, the Gembound hadn't noticed the large ave above her... oh, now she did. A shriek escaped the hatchling, and Azazel squawked in reply. He hadn't expected a reaction like that! Was he that ugly? Carmine eyes watched as the gorilla disappeared into the fog, bumping against one of the many rocks that littered the room. Hobbling after the gorilla for a moment, the bird caught sight of her gazing upon a stone on her palm. Azazel caught himself gazing at it, tilting his head. "Pretty blue." He chirped, unaware that the fox in the midst was approaching.

A chirrup alerted him to the presence of another, rufous crown twisting toward the source. The mist produced a russet creature, almost similar in appearance to Wolf... or Saudade as he had come to name himself. Of course this vulpine creature was much smaller and more built for speed. The critter seemed very comfortable standing on his four legs, unlike Sau. Azazel raised a brow, waddling toward the fox curiously. The triangular-browed Gembound questioned who he was, and Azazel happily waved a wing. "I'm Azazel!" Turning to the ape behind him, the bird chirped. "I don't know who that is, though... She just hatched from her rock egg." Yeah, they were rock eggs, right?

Blue was still quite overwhelmed, trying to understand everything that was happening around her at once. Now there was another creature near her and this sudden second intrusion distracted her from her beautiful blue stone. Now she was just annoyed. Couldn’t they both just leave her alone? She didn’t know where she was or who she was or what she was doing there, and they were bothering her and it was irritating. She grumbled wordlessly to herself as the bird and the fox conversed, not really understanding what was being said, having just been born. She decided to just ignore them in the hopes that they would both leave her alone.

She focused back on her blue stone, and realized she knew that word… Blue. It was a pretty word, she thought. She liked it. Maybe… Maybe she would call herself that. She didn’t think she had a name, and if she did, she certainly didn’t remember it. So yes, she would call herself Blue. Happy with herself, she looked up at the two animals, not knowing or caring whether she was interrupting anything, and said, “My name Blue. Blue.” She repeated it for emphasis. And then she said nothing else, unsure of what to say, honestly…

Azazel approached, but his previous worry had dissipated and instead he just kept a hard gaze on the avian. Extending a wing, he did shy away with a step but he kept his gaze locked. That name was unique, much like the name he had decided to give himself at a later date but he wasn't one to share it. Superstition had driven him to believe that should he give away his name he would be bound to them. Clearing his throat, he nodded at the statement regarding the black furred one.

About to give his own name, they were interrupted by the gorilla and he twitched an ear in her direction. A slight indication he had been paying attention but not enough to show he was jumping for joy. Not entirely sure why one would choose the name of a colour as that was particularly susceptible to being used, he shrugged, "M'name Louie." Happy that the formalities were out of the way he got down to business.

"Allies?" a more professional type term to be using, but he at least wanted Blue on his side. Azazel he didn't really care. It might be useful to have him on his side but whatever. All was good.

As the bird mentioned the color 'blue', the great ape seemed fascinated with it, revelling in the name. It seemed that she liked it. Soon, the Gembound hatchling named herself. Blue. A pretty name for a pretty Gembound with a pretty stone. The fox shied away, but seemed to stay close, watching Azazel warily. What got into his fur today?! The bird tilted a head, looking to the small ape. "Pretty name!" The Bone King chimed, before the mention of another name came to his ears. Picking apart the sounds, the bird repeated it. "Louie. Hi!"

This fox was so serious, goodness. The gorilla was so confused, wow. So much emotion! Azazel listened as the vulpine creature asked of alliance. So soon? "Friends, you mean..." The ave crooned, hoping that Blue would understand. Allies wasn't a word that one knew just out their chrysalis. "I'd be willing to be friends." More than willing, even. Azazel knew he was a pretty chill guy, just so long as others did not touch his bones. Nobody should dare touch his bones. His bones. The other bones were fine. Just not his.

What was this word? Allies… Blue wasn’t sure what it meant, but Louie sounded so serious when he said it. Blue didn’t mind the seriousness. She was quite serious herself, honestly, but she wasn’t sure why he was being serious. Then the bird joined in the conversation. Friends. She knew that word. She smiled a little, even though she was feeling butterflies in her stomach right at this very moment. Friends? She wasn’t sure she could be friends with them. Friends meant something important, though being so young, she didn’t know what yet. But was she willing to risk something so important with two Gembound she didn’t even know? This was a hard decision for someone just born!

Once again, she sort of wished they would leave her alone. But at the same time, she didn’t want to be alone… Feeling very confused, she said nothing and instead opted to stare awkwardly at the two creatures as thoughts whirled around and around in her head. She didn’t know… She just didn’t know!
