Fingers moved slowly, tumbling a tear drop gem through the digits. Molten Amber eyes peered out over Polaris as the now fully grown lycanthrope sat reclined into a divot on the spire. Maroon leathered wings lay relaxed, draped Over the sides of the outcrop he had found to perch on. The dragon no longer frequented this place, all thanks to those gembounds that fought against him. Most of them had been injured, or so he had heard, and it kind of served them right. There would always be casualties when facing such a beast as Raheerah. Baratheon, however, was his only concern out of the many gems that had fought. He had yet to see the dragon since then and for a moment he wondered if he had even managed to pull through with his injuries. A dark 'tsk' escaped the onyx furred creature. How infuriated Damian would be if that drake let Raheerah kill him.

There would be no doubt Damian would seek the gem that belonged to his little friend, and perhaps Damian would have thought to bring him back just so he could clobber the guy on his head. Lips curled back, wrinkling the top of his nose into a small snarl as he turned his gaze to the seraphinite his fingers still played with. The smooth gem still intrigued him. The one thing he had stolen from that black beast of Chaos. He was curious to know the story of this gem and for a moment he wondered what it would turn into should someone breathe life back into it. A dark smirk curled over his features. He did not want to be the one to do so. He rather liked being the only lycanthrope to the caves. So now there was a decision on who he would chose and when he should put his plan to action. Quietly he went through every gembound he could remember that lived, but none of them sounded interesting enough...- perhaps he would need to go hunting.

A maniacle smirk curled over his features as he lifted his gaze away from the seraphinite. He would find the perfect creature and when he did, whether they liked it or not, the would breathe life into this stone. After hey did she he would have the child that would surely be born from it. His thoughts were interrupted by a sudden noise and wolves ears perked into attention as he searched for the cause of the noise. He didn't day anything yet. He would not until he saw who was creating the noise....

TENNESSEE
"Oh give me a home where the buffalo roam,
Where the deer and the antelope play"

Alone again. He always seemed to meet others but in some way always managed to end up by himself... Or almost by himself. Still by his side was Daisy, the Red Rat was a constant companion that seemed to stick around because she'd grown fond of her master... That or she still enjoyed the free food that was passed her way. It certainly showed that she was no worse for wear, the slightly rounder body and slightly cleaner fur showed how well she was taken care of and her different status than the other rats of the cave. As it should be... Tennessee cared deeply for his little darling.

For now the pair sat around behind a rock, carefully hidden from view from a herd of deer. Well... "Herd" was a very generous term for these were Tunnel Runners and it seemed that there were only three. A large male and two females that were likely in his harem. Tennessee studied them, jotting down a few notes in his leatherbound book before putting it away and pulling a face. He had an idea that sat at the back of his mind. The same idea that prompted him to make the hat on his head and the banjo that was strapped to his back. He didn't have the proper tools with him but it was still worth a shot, eh?

"Alrighty, Dasiy-darlin', I'm about to nab that big male o'er yonder. Imma ride'im 'an see if'n I can't tame'im. Wish me luck!" If rats could roll their eyes then Daisy probably would have but instead she simply let out a huff before turned and using her crooked teeth to nibble at her side while Tennessee took off towards the deer. His movements were so swift and agile that he took the deer by surprise. The two females bolted together in one direction while Tenn managed to leap up onto the male and get him by the neck with his forepaws while he clamped his two hind paws around its body.

Needless to say the buck was pissed.

With a bray of rage the creature began to buck and plunge, traying to throw the lemur off of his back. However, since he was on he knew that getting bucked off could be deadly so he held onto the ruddy brown fur of the Tunnel Runner with dear life as he waited for it to tire out. "Hey now! Calm yerself, boy! Yer only makin' this harder!" Tennessee knew that he could be only seconds from death but he still couldn't fight the rush of adrenaline and feeling of joy in his gut. Boy was this a thrill or what!?

DAMIAN
"it's a cold, cruel, harsh reality"

Amber eyes narrowed as lips peeled back to expose sharp fangs once again. He could see the small herd of cave runners not to far and in a matter of moments a smaller creature suddenly moved. HE smirked as the females bolted away, right towards him. He moved forward, perching all four paws on the spire ledge he rested on. Crimson leather wings flared out as his tongue seemed to clean over the side of his chops. It wasn't a bad idea to use this to his advantage. He was rather hungry and with the rodent that was causing a ruckus and scaring them, they would have no expectation of him dropping down on them. However, that did not mean he couldn't have fun with them before that...

Though, as annoying as it was, his magic refused to listen to his demand and a snarl slipped from the lycanthrope. With that, the Lycanthrope leaped into action. He fell towards the deer at a fast rate and just as he would have collided into the ground, his wings sprung open and instantly broke his descent. His paws thudded against the ground and in an instant the cave runners that had been startled by him shrieked. The sound didn't last long as fangs snapped up the closest one and with a loud crunch the thing lay lip in the jowls of the predator. A rumble began in his chest as he eased himself to sit back on his rump, tail lashing about behind him as blood began to dribble down over his muzzle and splatter against his legs and the ground.

Her gaze idly moved over to the gembound and buck that seemed to be trying to throw the thing off and he chuckled darkly. HE would have to think the little rodent if he managed to stay alive. For now, he would have his snack. The blood tantalized his senses, causing his stomach to rumble with anticipation of the meal it would soon have.

It had been a while since the great battle. Leon wanted to spend as much time as he could in Maji Walezi, reveling in their survival and appreciating their fortune. He was happy that nobody had been too grievously injured or died. Baratheon had taken considerable damage and was resting in their cave, and Amaria had fallen victim earlier. But those were thoughts he tried to push out of his head. He had Makyna and Bevy and everybody else in Maji Walezi, so he was thankful.

He knew that at some point he'd have to start his patrols again, so he decided to make one of his first rounds through Polaris. If only just to check for signs of the dragon's return, or maybe that strange little nymph that had taken him away. The bear's short round ears twisted with curiosity and he could hear a commotion, furrowing his brow slightly. Quickening his pace, he suddenly found its source. A fluttering of great leathery wings - his heart stopped, was it Raheerah? No, a wolf. With wings. Eating a cave deer. And what was that - a small creature trying to ride one? What in Origin Cave...?

The bear found himself lost for words, staring dumbfounded at the scene.

TENNESSEE
"Oh give me a home where the buffalo roam,
Where the deer and the antelope play"

To the lemur riding the bucking, well... buck, it seemed that the rest of the world didn't matter. It was just him and the deer as he tried to keep himself mounted. Perhaps if he rode long enough he would tire the buck out and come out on top. So far though it didn't seem like the deer was tiring out at all while it thrashed about, mouth opened in an angry bellow. This would probably take a while...

In the meantime his trusty rat still held her position behind the rock... Until she heard the other deer being slaughtered. That quickly caught her attention as she turned her head to the sound, crimson eyes locking onto the winged wolf. The rat tilted her head to the side then after a contemplative snort she trotted over to the creature, making sure to give the bucking stag a wide berth. The female rat looked up at the lycanthrope and tilted her head to the side, tail wagging slightly as she attempted to convince the creature to share. After all, her owner shared food with her so why shouldn't this creature? Her eyes flashed briefly to the larger brown bear but he had no food in his possession so he wasn't worth her time.

"Yeehaw! The call came from the lemur as the buck finally buckled to the ground. Its forelegs crumpled beneath it followed by its rear as he crashed to the ground, nostrils flaring as it panted. However, with the sudden drop Tennessee was thrown off to the ground rather violently with a loud thud. "Ugghhh...." He moaned out loud in pain. "My back..." Daisy spared him one look before giving a sound quite like a "tsk" and turning back to the wolf. She knew that he would be fine.

The longer the smaller creature rode in the deer the more bored Damian seemed to grow. Still he sat there and watched as he took his time eating in his snack, ripping off one strip of bloody meat after the next. Heavy paw steps cause a single audit to twist around and listen to the approaching creature. Had he been younger he probably would have jumped up and snarled. Now, however, was a different story. Outside of baratheon and that three headed mutt he had met when they all first hatched, he was the third largest beast roaming these caves; if you're not including the ancient ones that had reawakened over the last several cycles. It wasn't until a small creature suddenly came up to him did his gaze fall away from the strange deer riding rodent.

A brow armed as she looked up at him expectantly. It wasn't every day a small snack came up to him. He smirked rather vicious as he finally tore off a large chunk of meat from the nearly bare carcass and offered it out to her in the palm of his paw. If she had the balls to not fear him and come ask for food, then she probably deserved it. She was also lucky he already had a snack. "you're awfully quiet... Bear," his voice came out darkly as he finally turned his gaze over his shoulder to peer at the large bear.

"Are you wanting a piece of my snack too?" A sinister smirk curled across his muzzle as both audits pushed towards Leon as if waiting for his answer. Of course Damian was only poking at him. he wasn't about to share his food with a fully grown gembound who could go hunt for himself. His attention was once again pulled into another direction as he heard a loud thud and he found himself chuckling over the fact the lemur had finally been tossed off. Albeit, after the deer had gone down himself it seemed though. "Hey, thanks for the snack by the way," he smirked as he waved his free hand absently towards the lemur.

The bear was momentarily distracted by the activity of the lemur on the cave deer. How could he not watch this potential trainwreck? The stag was bucking and braying, kicking its hooves in protest of the small mammal on its back trying to ride it. What a strange affair... Then suddenly the deer collapsed, exhausted, conceding defeat to the little critter. Leon's eyes widened, but he was quickly distracted by the two-legged wolf. He snapped his orange gaze over to the werewolf, looking him up and down. His stomach gurgled with hunger at the sight of his meal, but Leon wasn't a beggar. "...No." He answered finally, looking down, then back over to the lemur and his deer steed. "Um... What was that?" Leon asked slowly, quirking a brow.

TENNESSEE
"Oh give me a home where the buffalo roam,
Where the deer and the antelope play"

It seemed as if this large thing was a provider too... So was the logic of the Red Rat as she gave a pleased hiss and took the chunk of meat from the palm. She lowered herself to the ground and began to chew on it with loud, hungry grunts. Nevermind that she'd eaten a couple of hours prior. Food was food and she was glad of it.

Behind her the lemur sat up, rubbing the back of his back with a paw. The words of the two creatures didn't register at first, as he seemed to be preoccupied with the state of his spine. However, after a few moments he bounded up onto his paws with a renewed amount of energy. How could he stay worried about his back when he had two new creatures here? Besides, it was probably just a bruise.

"Well howdy there, fellers! Don't mention it! Gotta get food where we can, eeyup!" He grinned at the wolf before offering a chivalrous bow, and a small wince to the bear. "That, my fine furred friend, was deer ridin'! I plan to make this deer my new steed!" As if the deer could understand him the creature let out a bellow and lashed out with its head, catching the unaware lemur in the back. "Yowee! That smarts!" Then he promptly fell onto his front while the deer rose to its hooves and bounded away.

"But it's a work in progress..."

No. It seemed to be the only answer the bear had given him and with a shrug of his burgundy wings, Damian turned his attention back to the ballsy little rat who was happily, and loudly, chewing away on the meat he had offered her. Of course, Damian could have sworn he had heard a stomach rumble, but it had quickly been tossed aside without a care. His gaze lifted to the lemur who had finally noticed their appearance in the area and he arched a single brow at the small thing. A dark chuckle escaped Damian when the Lemur was struck in the back when he so foolishly took his gaze from the thing he wanted to make into a steed.

"A big work in progress it seems," He smirked at the little lemur before shrugging it off. "doesn't make sense though. They're nothing but fodder...- But I guess for something as small as you it would indeed make traveling the caves a bit faster," He eyed the little creature, still wondering if he was just a long rat like his little companion here, or if he was something else. "You sure are a strange rat," He mused thoughtfully as he brought his tail around his hips and curled it about in his lap for now.

"What do you think, bear, is he a freakishly strange rat or something else," He mused, turning his venomous gaze towards the bear that had been far more interested in what the small creature had been doing with the cave deer than Damian had been. It wasn't that Damian didn't know if Tennessee was a rat or not, he just felt like pushing a few buttons to see if he stirred a reaction out of either of them.

Leon really couldn't get over how strange this whole encounter was. The giant two-leg wolf with wings was pretty strange on his own, and Leon had to restrain the urge to keep glancing over at him to check if maybe his big bat wings were just some kind of an illusion. Would he be able to fly with them? Were they strong enough to support his powerful body? If Leon was smaller, younger too, he'd have felt a measure of fear at the sight of the werewolf. As it was, he was merely baffled and intrigued. The lemur stole his attention for now, explaining what he'd just been doing as... Deer ridin'. Again, another novelty that Leon found curious, and again, if he'd been smaller, maybe it would be of interest to him. The only thing Leon would use deer for was to eat.

Then the deer lashed out, striking the lemur and bolting. Leon's nerves tensed, but the lemur only took it in stride, laughing that it was a work in progress. These guys are nuts. The first thought to embed itself in his mind. Then he turned to the werewolf who mused over the whole deer riding thing, and seemed to think the same as Leon. Correction: the lemur is nuts. Especially with that rat around... Leon furrowed his brow with distracted thoughts. When the wolf asked his opinion, the bear could only straighten up and fix back on the lemur with a kinder expression. "I think he's cute." Leon answered idly, scratching at his cheek. "Anyway, that deer riding thing seems pretty ambitious. I know a few Gembounds who'd probably be interested in collaborating with you." He said thoughtfully as a challenging counter to the werewolf, side-eying him. Fisher would probably like that... Then again, he was just thinking that because Fishy and this lemur looked to be about the same size. Bevy would think it was neat, wouldn't she?

At the bottom of it all, maybe Leon was just feeling defensive over the weird little lemur. He hadn't done anything wrong, and thr werewolf's teasing rubbed him the wrong way.
