I'm going to say that because of her shell, the gemstone took a lot longer to make her, just so she would be safe. Esp. since Nemesis get into a lot of trouble, and her magic instinctively protects her + her offspring.

Appearance: A hybrid between a white rhino and a snapping turtle. This massive Gembound will grow to 6 feet high at the shoulder with an elongate body length of 20 feet from nose to tail, weighing a whopping 6,000lbs. This Gembound has thick, scaly grey-white skin and a dark grey shell with a blue shine. Their eyes are deep indigo and their iolite stone is located at the forefront of their shell, just behind their head.

i am looking for this precious rhinobaby to stay with nem and mag through most of their life, though of course baby gembounds gotta wander!! the personality can be whatever you like, but this young baby will be mothered by nem extensively, carried around for the first one or two cycles (as the baby will start out v smol and grow to be v big)

also i would love if the rhinobaby's fire was blue. just sayin.

but yeah if you want this baby just write a 200 word personality description and i'll decide who gets them on the 25th so that peeps have a few days to confirm that they def want them and can finish writing up a description and etc

Personality;
In the first cycle of life a shyness consumes her and her actions speak for her. Viewing others as potentially dangerous before seeing them as a friend. In aims to protect herself the child will even try to avoid social interactions. However, if one presses the company long enough that shy shell will eventually crack away. Then her actions will become playful and she affectionate, adventurous, and to a degree puckish. And later on in life the shyness will disappear almost completely unless she is placed within a large group.

With time, as size begins to catch up with the girl, her playful acts and roughhousing will become potentially dangerous for those smaller than she is. The girl will not know her own size, it doesn’t seem to register within her mind nor the fact that being so big could injure her smaller friends when they were relatively safe when she was small. Only time, as well as mistakes, will be able to teach her that she now needs to act with some cautions.

A problem within the child is her stubbornness. When she does not get what she wants, or isn’t allowed to go where she likes, a tantrum will ensue. Feet stamping at the ground as she becomes a very fussy child. This behavior, like others, will be grown out of in time – at least the tantrums will be. But the stubbornness will rise again should others not listen to her advice or wish to follow her gut feeling, which she will view as more valid than whatever could be drawn from logic.

It is also seen that the gal may not be the smartest of the lot. Confusion seizing her mind by some things others may considers simple, taking more tries than usual to accomplish the task. The girl is also absent-minded and seems to hold onto childish behaviors in adulthood. And due to her energy requirements in order for play and growth, to one day become a gargantuan beast, she seems to always be hungry. Complaints that she wants, no needs, more even if she’s already eaten.

Writing her as female, hopefully that's okay! Annnnd her fire will be blue as well if I become her player, that's more awesome anyway Slow and steady wins the race. The massive creature will grow to be a thinker, one who will sit and ponder things over, their causes and effects, before making a serious choice. She will despise hurting others and will lend a… foot… to help those who seem to need it, even if it doesn’t end up well for her. Insults, anger, they will easily roll off her back like water, leaving her relatively unfazed. She will try her hardest to figure out why other gembounds do what they do, instead of getting angry or making enemies of them. Even those with ways she can’t agree with, the girl will try to figure out how their mind works and get some insight into their choices. Even so, if she thinks something that someone else is doing is wrong, she will not hesitate to step up and give her honest opinion or try to reason with them. A mediator, the huge creature will easily place herself into physical danger if she has to in attempt to break up a fight between others. Her hard shell and thick skin will help her absorb injuries much more easily than some of her smaller, thin-skinned companions. It will be very, very rare for this creature to use magic in any way but to help, though life or death situations may put her over the edge. Even protecting others’ lives, she will feel bad harming anything else that’s living. Once her magic begins to manifest powerfully, she will grow to despise it. Fire is so violent and destructive, nothing like how she wants to be. Even so, life will push her to use her magic at times, causing her guilt.

HESTIA

Hestia, the goddess of the hearth. Well, perhaps at least she is at heart. With a heart made of gold, this little hybrid Gembound will be the sweetest little thing you've ever seen, untainted by any evil that surrounds her. Others may desire for her to use her massive frame for war and battle, but 'Tia would much rather frolic in Eridanus amongst all of the flowers (hopefully not falling onto her back!) and make new friends. The girl will probably wander off to Eridanus often to gather flowers and bring them back to her little family in Monoceros, or at least try to without falling onto her back.

Each step is careful and as dainty as she can possibly make it, for she's a little afraid of toppling over herself and flipping onto her back. If there is anything she hates, it is that. You'll often find her upon her shell and unable to get onto her feet again, screaming out for help. Another thing that she is terrified of is her magic. Hestia knows it resides within her, but she knows it hurts others. She hates hurting others.

Always of a good and patient nature, Hestia will be a sweet little creature, knowing only innocence and kindness, which could be her downfall. As cause of these traits, the child is more or less Naïve, and could easily be led away from her family with promises of adventure.

HESTIA

From the beginning, life has not been easy. Her creation took longer than it should, forcing her to struggle for the ability to exist all for the sake of the armor she bears. The shell itself is representative of an existence marked by protection and safety, though perhaps not for herself; first and foremost, Hestia is nurturing. She empathizes deeply, not just with other Gembound, but with the world as it exists around her. Physical sturdiness has been traded for emotional vulnerability, and though it is likely to help her through many trials, she will also suffer for it, especially during her first few cycles. As she ages, it's easier for her to cope, and this offers an avenue for vast wisdom (or, should she run afoul of terrible things, invite further instability). Hestia is curious, craving knowledge in a way that is borderline obsessive. She adores stories and lore, and although not particularly interested in fame, might often find herself in the shadows of events as they unfold in Origin Cave. She will likely have a penchant for collecting things - minerals, plants, bones, friends - whatever strikes her fancy. She possesses a naturally bright and outgoing attitude, and has a very obvious knack for wit. Sarcasm will come with maturity, but we may hope there is never a time in Hestia's life that her laugh is not the deep, rollicking chortle of a creature whose heart is lit by the warmth of fire. The most difficult lesson she will learn in her life is that not everyone deserves a second chance, and that she will need to determine who is and is not worthy of her time, effort, and trust. Betrayal will be the cruelest blow, should she ever be its victim.
