Remedy was getting impatient. She'd met Kerberos, had gotten to know Azazel, but Pa still wasn't back. The little hybrid had begun to explore again, but now, her exploration took her deeper, into the center of the cave. There, many rocky towers grew down from the ceiling, enchanting the little girl as she approached the open doorways. Slowing to a stop under its shadow, Remedy gawked upwards and sighed.

"Woah."

Fearless, the child ventured into the dark corridors of the Chambers, leaving the safety of Canis Proper behind in favor of exploring this strange construct. Indeed, Rem felt as if she were discovering ancient treasure, untouched by anyone else but her. When Ma and Pa came back with Cure, they'd be so impressed!

She climbed upwards inside one such domecile. Reaching a carved window, the hybrid stepped her front talons over the ledge and looked down. I'm so high! Up here, a gentle breeze rustled through her feathers. Below, the bones looked like tiny marbles of white and pale yellow, all tossed about- except, of course, for the tower so neatly preserved by the West Wall. Remedy mused that the tower must've been special, to be kept so clean- and as she did, she leaned out the window further.

Then, she slipped. With a shrill scream, the hybrid tumbled out of the Chamber's high window. Wings, ill-prepared, flapped against the rush of wind. For a moment, all seemed lost. I'll die alone! She flipped forwards, wings snapping open and...

...with a pitiful squeak, landed only a little softer than she might've otherwise. Despite this, Remedy rolled into the fall and came out only bruised and dirty, hind paws tossed over her head with her chin shoved against the ground painfully. She came to a rest with a keening whimper, back end flopped back down right, wings limp and crooked at her sides.

Well, that was brilliant.

ooc: literally open to anyone and everyone

In his slumber RaikZik dreamed of skies so blue. Wind streams carrying his wings to far away places he had never seen before. It wasn't often the large raptor had dreams when he slept, but when he did they were some of the most vibrant images. No dream ever seemed to be the same for him and in this RaikZik found peace within his solitude. Though he gazed over Canis, watched the ones who took up home here, he just did not have it in him to socialize with them half the time. Perhaps it was because of Talat. He missed his little brother greatly, but he just never found time to go out and search for the little leather-winged creature. His dreams seemed to shift, causing his feather's to fluff up and his talons to curl into themselves.

It wasn't until a shrill scream filled his ears did the avian snap awake. It took no matter of time for him to be on his feet and looking around instantly, searching for what had caused such a sound while his dream was wholly forgotten. Finally his gaze settled onto a little creature, with fur and feathers of black and red, and for a moment his curiosity brimmed to the surface. He had never seen this creature in Canis before. Not to mention her shape was strange all in it's own. If he was one to express any sort of emotions RaikZik would have surely flinched when the little creature hit the ground having unsuccessfully using her wings. Alas, the large raptor was not so his own reaction was a slight turn of his head to have a better look.

After a moment of thought to himself the avian hobbled to the edge of his declared nest and with a quick flap of his wings, set out from the nest and slowly glided down to the creature. He landed easily on the ground just a few paces away from the hybrid creature, his talons clacking against the stone flooring. Folding his wings neatly against his side, Raikzik turned to fully face the creature and looked her over just a bit closer. "Are you alright?" He questioned, his voice deep and smooth. A sound that would lie to anyone about how often he would use such a voice. There was still that subtle scratch in it, but it was far more pleasant to hear from when he was only a fledgling.

Remedy could almost feel the wind through soft feathers when she heard the flutter of wings above her. She twisted her head from the floor to look up as Raikzik landed. In that instant, with his wings spread out and purple eyes shining on her, she felt a rush of warmth wash over her. He's so pretty! She sat up, and beneath her feathers, her face was warm and flushed. He asked in a deep voice if she was alright and for some strange reason, Remedy couldn't find the words to confirm that she was, indeed, alright.

"I, uh, uhm," She sat upright, shying back from the purer bird. "Yeah, yeah I'm okay. Thanks for asking." For the first time since arriving in Canis, Rem was lost for words. The other bird was so much fiercer, with such nice feathers and pretty eyes, a color she'd never seen before in any other gembound. Overall, she'd call him handsome... and that was a new opinion for her. The young hybrid straightened her posture and coughed. "I was... trying to fly. There's no wind in here. It's no use."

She sounded incredibly disheartened.

RaikZik listened with the utmost interest as the little catbird spoke. He was glad to hear she was unharmed physically. Even if she seemed a bit disheartened by the results of her attempt. His feathers fluffed a bit as he studied her, looming over her wings and the shape of her body. She was certainly the most unusual feathered creature he had ever seen. Yet it all seemed to go well together. He clicked his beak thoughtfully as his head twisted to the side for a moment as if he were trying to get a better look.

"It takes time...to get used to flying on no wind," it was still strange to hear his own voice, but Zi was not against sharing a few words with the disheartened creature. "It took me a week before I could get used to it myself. Should practice again. Try to fly. I can help." his deep and somewhat scratchy voice was soft and encouraging. Even then there were no emotions on his features. Just his ever watchful gaze as he waited to see if she would try.
