How could she be so foolish, she should have ran back to Orion after running into the bear, Leon. That should have been a tall-tell sign that the world she use to know was no more and there were monsters around every corner. Now I'm running from one. Indeed, the large rodent was galloping down the tunnel at top speed, trying her best to not fall flat on her face. Can't stop, no time. Just moments before, the female had went down to explore a booming sound to only run into a pack of those monsters. And among them was thee monster, the lioness that she use to know as a child. Ky. The one that Lord Hasira said that is never to be trusted for she will do everything to try and trick the poor rodent into some horrible fate or even death. Soon she was back in the room she had run from not to long ago. The place where she saw the bear but now there was no sign of him. Good, she didn't know if she could face him and his false apologies. Taking a turn around a corner, she found that she must of made the wrong turn and soon was facing a wall. "No no no . . ." Ears pinned as she twisted around to face the lioness; sure they were right on her keels. If and when she came into view, Carrie would whimper "Please . . please don't hurt me." Why didn't she do as she was told and stay put in Orion? --------- "Speechy speechy speech." OOC: oh the feels

This certainly had to be Carrie. It had to! She'd heard the name and remembered her face clearly in her mind. There was no way in all of Origin that there was another capybara with the exact same name and face as hers. This was her friend, the one who had went missing all those cycles ago.

But why was she running?

The lioness called out her name over and over again, begging her to slow down so they could talk. Did the cave scare her? Did she herself scare her off? If so, why? They had been friends... They had tried to help her... Even though they were to blame for the missing leg that seemed to have grown back, she had never once meant to cause harm. The lioness began to sob as she gasped for air and forced her legs to go faster. Her species were not made for long runs and it was starting to wear on her to go full speed like this.

She could see that they were heading back towards Pisces, her domain where she knew the area like the back of her paw. Soon enough the capybara would be cornered. The lioness slowed in anticipation and sure enough there was Carrie. The poor thing was begging Makyna not to harm her. It tore at the lioness' heart. There was no one in the caves that she wanted to harm... No one. Not even the evil stag who inhabited Orion. Surely he could be talked to without violence... But, right now he was not her concern. Carrie was.

"Carrie... I... I'm not going to hurt you. I never would... I never meant to." The lioness gasped out as she tried to speak around her lack of air. It took a moment but after she stopped panting she spoke again, "I know that we made you lose your leg but it was an accident. We were kids... We didn't know what to do. Please, do you forgive us?" She took a tentative step towards the panicking capybara, hoping that she would calm down so they could talk.

Turning around, her back was pressed against the cold, damp wall. The lioness began to talk, making claims about them being children and how it was never meant to happen. He said that she would say such things. Why did it have to be this way, why did Ky have to be born a meat-eater. It just wasn't fair! They had such fun as children, the lioness showing her around the caves. At least, until the incident. That day was so fuzzy at first, she didn't even remember it when she re awoke in the strange tunnel but with time it all was coming back. And after seeing Leon, she was sure that she had the whole story again. Slowly, as the other moved closer, Carrie shook her head. "Meat eaters lie, the Lord told me so. You all lie and it's your nature to hurt my kind." Biting her tongue, hoping to not anger the lioness at her words, but she knew they had to be true. If they weren't true then everything she learned the past few days would have been for nothing. And that was to scary to imagine. "I . . I'm not sure if I can completely; but I am sorry." The rodent shivered where she stood, ready to bolt if she needed to. After all, they were children, but now they both are adults. --------- "Speechy speechy speech." OOC: ;3;

The lioness stared pleadingly at the capybara. Praying that all would be forgiven and they could put everything behind them and go back to being friends. Surely after being absent for so long she could use another tour of the caves, right? Alas... Everything was not so simple in Origin. The big cat knew that now, even though she tried to pretend that everything was sunshine and rainbows. Even since day one the cave had been a hard place, she was just too naive to realize it then.

The mention of the Lord though... The Lord? Was she referring to the dictator that had helped burn off Leon's beautiful fur? The one that was attempting to bring down the entire cave? Oh no... Had he filled her head with lies? "Carrie, no, listen. Whatever the 'Lord' has told you it isn't true. I'm a meat-eater but that doesn't mean I lie... I'm your friend and I would never lie to you. He is." She had to listen. Whatever Hasira was poisoning her mind with wasn't true! He was evil!

The lioness took another step forward, willing Carrie to believe her as she reached out with a paw to try and give her a reassuring touch on her shoulder. "Please, Carrie... I only want what's best for you..." She cooed gently.

This large cave room was starting to feel smaller as the one she once called a friend would come near, closing the space between them. What was she trying to tell her? Lord Hasira was the one lying about everything? What if that is true and . . . Those little ears of her's would pin back quickly, ". . . NO. Your wrong, he said you were a trickster." Yes, that was the truth. Ky was the liar, that had to be how it was. If she wasn't bad then that means the others might not be ether. No, there will be no doubt in the Lord. She trusted him and a the rodent made the mistake of misjudging his words by leaving Orion. "The Lord is a great gembound; he is taking care of all those children." Nodding quickly, "He gives them a safe place to live and teaches them to defend themselves." The twins would be stronger soon, they called her Auntie and accepted her without question. Carrie wasn't strong like the others, she was so easily scared; but maybe the Lord might help her be stronger too? The rodent stared straight at the lioness; but as a paw came at her . . she flinched away from the touch. Looking around the larger female, looking for a chance to jump away and get back home. There! The rodent leap forward, wishing so hard now to just get away and not have to feel so confused anymore. Yet as her feet hit the floor, the ground was damp from the moister in the room. SPLAT. Right on her face, the poor dear was sprawled out on her belly. A low groan came from her. No no no no. Panicking, she tried to stand but only managed to slip again. Those words... They cut through her like a hot knife. "No, Carrie, I-I'm not. I'm speaking the truth. We didn't mean for any of that to happen. You were our friend, Carrie. We'd never hurt our friends..." This Lord Hasira was poisoning Carrie's mind and leaving it in a tattered state. It hurt her heart that the capybara would accuse her of such things. Just... It was awful...

Leon had warned her about the "Lord". Leon had even been severely injured... This deer was not a friend and Carrie needed to learn to stay away from him. "No, Carrie, no! Whatever he's telling you it's not true! He doesn't care about those children, he's using them." And you...

When she reached out to touch her the capybara bolted and tried to run away. However, she didn't get far before she tripped and fell. The lioness gave a silent gasp and attempted to come closer to her to help her up but Carrie was at it again... and falling again. This time she rolled straight towards Ky and bumped into her leg. With her greater size Makyna was able to keep upright and carefully she attempted to grab Carrie by the scruff of her neck to steady her like she would a cub. "Carrie, careful! Are you alright?" She asked with concern. Frightened that she could have injured herself in the fall.

Oh how foolish she was feeling, falling all over the wet ground like a newborn again. Get it together! Tho, once she was up again the rodent fell back down but right into the lioness. Fur was pressed to her face, attempting to get back up but soon found she was being lifted. This is it, this is when I'm eaten! A high pitch squeal was let out in a panic as she felt the teeth around her scruff. "DON'T EAT ME! Struggling in the grip of Ky. It didn't matter if the hold didn't hurt her, the pain was all in the rodents head. The hold the Lord had on her was pretty tight and as she was able to slip out of the hold. Carrie would run back to him in Origin. With a thud, the female was free from the hold, taking off down another tunnel with tears in her eyes. "Please don't follow me!" Struggling in her words. I'm sorry. Her stone glowed as she ran, attempting to keep hidden but it did nothing. A mist attempted to roll in, but wasn't think enough to hide the rodent. --------- "Speech" Thoughts OOC: exit for the capy :c

The lioness didn't even think about the violent reaction trying to help the capybara would give. With a gasp of alarm she dropped the critter onto the ground and stepped back. Again it felt as if a physical stab of pain ripped in her heart. "Carrie, please calm down. I promise I don't want to hurt you... Please, you have to believe me!" The lioness begged but it was in vain.

The capybara ran and with her finals words of parting, left the lioness to stare after her. She knew she caused the rodent too much pain so she did not follow. No matter how much she wanted to. With ears tucked sadly at the sides of her head she turned and walked away to her den to sulk in peace.
