He stood and glared at her from a few feet away, his head low, his milky eyes staring with what was soon becoming hatred. When she was done, he spat out blood onto the ground and rolled his head around in a slow circle, letting it stand as a response all by itself. And it worked; she stared at him with horror, scared at what she had done to him.

Anything she said was undermined by that; she had hurt him, could hurt him, and did. She wouldn't stop until he made her stop.

"You shouldn't have started that fight at all," He growled, his voice trembling. "You shouldn't have kept me in the dark the entire fight, you shouldn't have done it when Papa was so far away and couldn't help us if something had gone wrong, WHICH IT DID," he yelled out the last part, "For the Caves, Fever, we could've DIED, and you were more than scared and stupid, you were a monster, hurting me even when you didn't have a reason but to fight."

He bared his teeth in a snarl and yelled, "I'm your BROTHER, and you did this to me!"

He lowered his nose in one smooth motion and sprinted the few feet between them toward her before she could react, throwing her to the ground again, even farther than he had before.

She rolled a few times when she was tossed this time, and when she stopped, she groaned, coughing, her entire body wracked with pain. She rolled over and coughed, and when she did, she hacked up blood, thick and hot in her throat. She gasped for air in between her coughs, her ribs and her back and her everything screaming. She was tired of this, she just wanted him to stop, but he wouldn't stop until she either gave up and took a beating or she triumphed over him.

She struggled to get up, her legs shaking, and she faltered once before she got to her feet, panting the whole time. She didn't want to keep fighting. But one look at him and his bitter face was enough to tell her that this wouldn't stop here.

"You're right..." She said, her voice wobbling. "I was stupid and wrong and it was all my fault. But that does not," She took a intake of breath. "Give you the right to beat me till I'm bloody and raw!"

She ran at him, her own nose lowered.

His eyes lowered into slits as she spoke, shaky and dazed with a little trail of blood running down her chin. Good. She should feel the same way he did when she tried to break and burn him, when all he wanted was for her to just stop. He saw her coming, and he prepared himself to move out of the way, to sidestep her. He didn't move fast enough though, and when she tackled him, she clipped him in the side where he was burned, and he screamed, stumbling away from her.

They faced each other, bloody and bruised and hurt, and he growled, "It gives me EVERY right! An eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth! If you wanted my forgiveness, if you ever DID apologize, then you would lay there and take it!"

She saw that look in his eyes though, the look that he was going to charge at her again, and she stood with her legs a little ways apart, ready for him. "But if you keep trying to attack me, I will take it seriously and fight back. I'm not some spring flower that wilts when anyone tells it to, including you."

She lifted her leg back and kicked dirt straight into his face, but he just tilted his head away, letting it hit his shoulder, and he spat out anything that got into his nose or his mouth.

"But you won't win. I'm going to beat you bloody and raw like you say because that's what you want from me, to prepare for the inevitable fight. You want a practice buddy? Well, you've got one."

He moved a few steps towards her then reared onto his back legs, preparing to stomp her.

She saw his hooves come up at her, and she inhaled sharply, and she quickly sidestepped him so that his hooves fell on the ground instead of on her, and she stepped back from him so he couldn't immediately strike her.

"But I don't want that, that's what I'm trying to say!" She barked out. "I don't want to fight you, I only came here to tell you that I was sorry! And I am, I AM, I'm sorry for hurting you!" She looked at him and shuddered. "You're right, I just wanted us to fight together so that we could get strong together and we could protect each other."

He just glared at her. He just wanted her to stop because she was losing this fight, that was all, and he wasn't going to fall for it. He charged the two steps in between then and shoved her to the ground, making her groan again, and this time, he put a hoof right on her chest.

"If I was a carnivore...." He said quietly, looking down at her. "I wouldn't listen. I would just kill you. Take this seriously, Fever. You've died several times over by now. We can talk later."

He didn't want to talk, he just wanted to let out his anger. She had apologized, that was over now...but this fight was still going on, and his blood still boiled for a good end to this fight.

She took a breath, then pushed at him and raised herself in one motion till the top of her head connected with his chin again, and she heard his sharp intake of breath and pushed him away forcefully.

Then, when he stood there, staggered and glaring, his teeth bared, showing fresh blood, she ran at him and tackled him to the ground, grunting as they both fell to the ground.

His head hit the ground and he made a sound of protest, and when she was on top of him, she pulled back a hoof to hit him square in the face, but he turned his head away just in time so that she hit the ground, and he roared back at her. He hit her square in the jaw, blood flying as he did so, and she returned the punch with one of her own, and his world spun around. His chin was really hurting by now, it practically felt like it was going to dislodge from his hinges, and he locked her into place with his legs and rolled her over, and when he had the advantage again, he leaned down and just plain bit her on the leg, making her cry out and scream bloody outrage. It left a bloodstain there and toothmarks and he just laughed.

What the heck was he trying to do by just biting her, the weirdo!? And it hurt! She snarled and headbutted him again while he was laughing, and quickly his laughter turned into a gasp of pain and a snarl, and she gritted her teeth in response.

She didn't see his hoof coming straight at her face, and for a moment she was blind with pain, and she kicked him off, curling into a ball, crying out, feeling blood rush through her nose, and she made noises of complaint and pain in between snorting out the blood, letting it splurt in a spray pattern on the ground.
