QUESTS/EVENTS
Torrential downpours cause localized flooding and many upset cats. Along with these frequent rain, from gentle drizzles to heavy rainfall, there seems to be a flux of Magicka drawn in particular to water sources. Occasional jet streams of warm air make narrower tunnels harder to navigate. On occasion, the rain intensifies, becoming howling storms with sleet or large hail. However, the temperatures overall are a little warmer, with snow and ice in temperate caves somewhat receding.
Kingsfoil skittered backwards after he landed the hit, feeling another surge of satisfaction as he hit her nose. The little prince bounced on his hooves and turned around, just in time to see the wildebeest launch herself at him in a full body slam. However, even he could see her trajectory was off as she launched forward and promptly smacked her head into a crystal. Their assailant didn't get up and King took this time to prance haughtily over to her and give a great disrespectful --and unsportsmanlike-- stomp on her back. At which point he tried to leap up onto her back and stand there with one leg raised in the air as if he'd just conquered a huge mountain.
"And this is why you don't mess with the prince or his faithful second!" His nose was raised in the air. He felt quite full of himself.
Kingsfoil & Euron vs Boar
V of V
Attack: Stomp on her back and stand on her!
Defense: None!
Injuries: Comically swollen nose. Left ear chewed up, bleeding a little.
"Talking"
It almost wasn't worth giving Boar a last kick when she was down, since she'd taken herself out, but since King was doing it then he would to. He swatted at her rump with a hoof, in a sort of 'yeah, take that, that's what you get for messing with the prince's crew!' sort of way, as if she didn't have enough bruises already.
It felt good, to be referred to as second. Another instance of refracted glory to bask in. Euron grinned, nodding smugly. "Maybenowthey'lllearnnottoattackthelikesof/us/." childishly smug, af if it were that simple.
His attention, now that the fight was over, had now shifted beyond the narrow constraints of their battle. He considered asking about King's injuries, but he didn't want to risk the young prince's pride, so instead he commented on the still lump that was Ashtoreth. "IthinkKutuhasbeeninjured." he commented, with about the same sort of interest that someone might have commenting on the weather somewhere very far away. Some part of him was concerned, both by her stillness and her thinness, but this latent spark of morality was inconvenient, and so he tried to suppress it in King's presence, particularly so shortly after fighting with a stranger who'd they'd caused unawares.
Boar could be said to have started it, but Ashtoreth was an innocent, and there didn't seem as much glory in that.
Attack: Buttsmack! with the hoof. while she's down. because assholes!

The world swam back into hazy existence, at first in slow, pulsating flashes of color and then in more gradual swaths of image that didn't fade back into darkness. Her entire body seemed to throb as the pain in her face converged with a new ache in her back to wash over her. Boar groaned quietly. As her faculties returned, she felt a twinge of embarrassment; she'd started off so strong, with such a will to fight. But it only meant she would have to train, to get better. A strange pressure was spread across her back and she shifted, though not necessarily to dislodge King's footing. Truthfully she wasn't yet aware it was him causing that ache.
With some struggle Boar pulled herself up, inadvertently shoving Kingsfoil aside. She shook herself off, but that only intensified the ripples of pain, causing her to suck in a sharp breath through her teeth. Her nose ached terribly, and when she stuck out her tongue she could taste the blood dripping from it. Slowly she turned, wincing periodically, and faced her previous adversaries. With a certain amount of effort her right knee bent and she bowed, a gesture she instinctively knew meant fealty.
"M'Boar," she mumbled. She didn't have a true internal sense of fairness, so whether it had been two on one or ten on one they'd beaten her. They were better than her.

The little prince smirked and let out a fiendish "yeah" in agreement with Euron's smug words. Let it be known far and wide that they were a force to be reckoned with! Kingsfoil at first made no move to move his rump from the back of the wildebeest and when Euron mentioned Kutu's injuries he at first seemed confused. "Been injured? What do--uh, huh?" His question was interrupted as the girl below him begin to move. The king tried to scramble off of her in such a way that he would land easily on his feet but the sudden movement made him lose balance and tossed him onto the ground where he fell onto his front in the most undignified manner.
Quickly he scrambled up and tried to save face. Attention momentarily distracted from Kutu he was about to berate the wildebeest for her manners but was too shocked with a sudden turn of events. The gal was now bowing to him! Ego inflated to the tenth degree Kingsfoil puffed up his chest. "Boar, huh? That sounds like a good name for a ruffian like you!" He scoffed, unafraid now that he and his friend had put her in her place. "I am Prince Kingsfoil, next in line to rule Orion and the Herbivores of the caves." He wanted to say he was next to rule the entire caves but he and his father hadn't made it that far yet... but soon. He tilted his head to point to the horse next to him. "This is my Second, Euron. And you are in a heap of trouble for daring to harm a prince." The white fawn glared down at her before he seemed to remember something. His golden eyes glanced around the area, landing on the form of Kutu and his crown. How on earth had she just fainted.
"Tsk, when did that happen? Kutu wasn't even in the fight! Stupid, weak, carnivore!" He growled at her unconscious form. What did he do now? He glanced from Boar to Kutu to his crown. For as much as he was bossy and courageous he was not at all that smart. Trying to be inconspicuous he leaned in towards Euron and whispered so that he hoped Boar couldn't hear, "What do we do with them?"

Euron, for his part, looked proud and nodded as Kingsfoil introduced him as his second and himself as the prince of the herbivores. "Indeed." he said, smugly. "You attacked the heir" But, nevertheless, he had to grudgingly admire the fervor with which she had reacted to them, the fierceness of all of her actions, the stubbornness that caused her to stand, even now, after they'd so resolutely beaten her. He walked close to Kingsfoil, speaking in undertone. "That said, she was impressively strong." and, even quieter, for his ears alone, "She could be useful, later." If, indeed, that bow was meant to show fealty, if she was willing to be loyal, she could be very useful. The herbivores needed as many fierce fighters as they could get-- not all of them were so easily cowed as Ashtoreth.
And speaking of her-- Euron moved away from the young prince to nudge her with his nose, assessing her damage, making sure she wasn't dead. "I have no idea how she managed to injure herself when she wasn't even fighting," he drawled. "Wake up, now, the excitement's over." That part was addressed to Ashtoreth herself, as if being knocked unconscious from being thrown from the fight was a choice rather than an affliction. "I suppose I can put her back on your back until she wakes up. I'm pretty sure she's still alive."
To Boar, he spoke with the lazy sort of expectation carried in every aristocratic voice-- the expectation that he would be obeyed, and that he deserved everything in the world. "Are you willing to be obedient to the will of my Lord?" he nodded to Kingsfoil. "Not that it might mitigate your punishment, of course. But you are a Herbivore, I think." Euron knew his place, and his place wasn't to divert punishment if that was Kingsfoil's wish, but he could recruit allies. Allies were useful, especially with foes so naturally well-armed as carnivores tended to be.

Ash felt consciousness returning to herself, but she refused it. A tiny wheeze came out of her body, the only sign she was even still alive, but she kept her eyes shut and her body limp. It was better to play dead than become apart of some new, awful game. The babe would let Kingsfoil and Euron take her away, do whatever they wish with her-- just like always.
It would be a while before she recovered from this spell of exhaustion. Maybe if someone wasn't starving her, she'd be more lively and less miserable and dead-like. Maybe if, y'know, your father wasn't such a trash bag, Kings, your little pet would be more fun to have around and actually useful.
She nodded gingerly to Kingsfoil as he introduced himself, and then to Euron. It was only when the pair mentioned her that Boar finally realized Ashtoreth even existed. She peered curiously around at the small form, but made no move to intervene other than straightening her legs. A pitiful wheeze at least signaled that this "Kutu" was still alive, though she obviously wasn't going to be waking up any time soon. Euron and Kingsfoil met each other in hushed tones, and Boar stood by patiently. Clearly this wasn't a conversation she was meant to be involved in, and so she didn't press the issue. Once they had addressed her, the calf's attention turned easily to them again.
"'Er.... bivore?" They'd used that word more than once. It was one she wasn't familiar with, and deciphering the meaning was eluding her. However it did seem rather important, so she filed it away for later use. Her mind turned back to the question of her obedience, and her brow furrowed slightly in confusion. "'Course I will. Ya won." She looked between them quickly. To bow to her betters was a code of morals that had been ingrained in her from birth, and up until this point she assumed all others operated on the same ideals.
