Tucked out of sight as a large chrysalis, bright yellow topaz, like a shimmering light in the dim cave. Inside was someone who was stirred awake by a feeling, Hello? Tho on the outside no voice could be heard, for it was more then a thought then something spoken out loud. Slowly the topaz egg would shake, the little one inside felt like the gem walls around him were tighter. Twisting inside, pressing his paws against the sides and pushed. On the outside, the shell would crack under the pressure, creaking as little bits fell to the floor as light entered the egg. "So. . bright." Two voices could be heard as more topaz shell was breaking away, slowly peaking out into the light. One nose, then two noses were sniffing at the air a bit. Hello . . . hello? A voice, but two, calling out softly as brown paws began to stretch out from the egg. Was anyone out there? --------- "Ὄρθρος - right" "Ὄrtrσ - left" Thoughts OOC: first post!

Bored. So very bored. Once again his father was sleeping and Khori just could not actuate him to do much of anything. He knew they had just finished playing for what seemed like hours, but Khori was still so full of energy. So, as his father took a nap, Khori found himself wandering around polaris once again. He wasn't sure where his brother had gotten off to, but he figured he would find the fellow some where near the water. That was his destination. At least, that is where he was heading all the while he played games by himself. Laughter escaped the dragon wolf pup as he pounced and swiped clawed paws at rocks, sending the things clacking along the cavern floor noisily.

It kept him entertained enough, but when a voice suddenly drew his attention, Khori pulled to a stop. His long neck curled around as his ears pushed towards the sound. There had been two voices. Not just one! A grin spread over his features as he turned his direction and headed towards the sound. It didn't take long before he found himself upon a new area and as his eyes searched for the voices he finally spotted it. Or them, rather. Brown fur clung to their paws and as his eyes followed the legs up his mouth fell open when he saw that this creature had not one head, but two.


"Hello!" He called with renewed excitement. What kind of creature would have two heads!? That was certainly very interesting. With his curiosity Khori took a few more steps closer towards the creature that was pulling itself free of it's chrysalis.

Ra'Riot and Ra'Havoc were alone together. Ra'Ma and Ra'Da never came to find them, so the raptor-esque hybrid decided they'd have to find adventure elsewhere! She made sure to actuate her saddened brother to explore and find something new. They'd already been hunting. The tiny ball of fluff had pounced on a newly hatched lesser gembound hare, and she feasted on that before Riot ate the rest.

Now, Havoc was happily scampering across the floor of Polaris in hot pursuit of adventure, hopefully with her big brother right behind!

Fiery eyes flicked to and fro, as she jumped behind every rock and peeped into every nook and cranny. This was her territory! She had to make sure she knew all of it. Powerful pink legs pounded at the stone as she ran, rat-like tail swinging behind her. It was obvious that her adult plumage and scales had yet to grow in. She was still only the size of a baseball. How fluffy.

In the distance, she could see a white fluffy thing that was quite large. Curiousity sparked in her and she screeched as she approached. The thing grew bigger as she neared them. Havoc soon realized that his was a whole entire dragon, and she was almost in awe. But it was trespassing! "RA'S HOME," she shrieked and jumped at the thing's heels and intended to bite into the muscular hind leg. If she succeeded, the thing wouldn't feel much, since the small amalgam still had small teeth.

The young pup attempted to crawl out of his egg now, breaking chunks of topaz away with each shift of his weight; soon finding himself fallen out and onto his front paws. Unfortunately, the also caused a bit of discomfort and both set of eyes began to slowly water. No no, to bright, not something hurts . . . no no no. The only thing to stop the tears was an enthusiastic hello from someone right in front of the new gembound. Each head cocked to the side a bit, both in the opposite direction. He was looking over this new face, but slowly a two smiles appeared. "Hello there." Speaking each word separately. For a spit second single thought went though his mind and as if he had two, the child let the words slip free. "I'm Orthrus." Both speaking in union this time around. But before anything else could be said, the gem before him was tackled down by another! Whaaa? Slowly getting to his feet, Orthrus titled his heads and watched the commotion. "Who is Ra?" Khori was waiting patiently for this new creature when all of a sudden something had thumped into his back leg and he quickly twisted around to look. His eyes went big when he saw such a tiny bird trying to take a bite out of him. At least, he thought it was a bird. It had strange features and called itself Ra it seemed. Khori huffed and snorted as he lifted his hind leg that Havoc had latched on to and gave a good kick in an attempt to get him off. "I has no idea where your home is," He snorted only to hear the first gembound he had found first.

"I think she's a Ra? I'm Khoridai though! Nice to meet you Orthrus!" He greeted happily before turning his attention over to the ball of fluff. "Is ra your name?" he questioned prodding at the creature almost curious as to why she tried to bite him.

The hybrid definitely clamped down on something, and it was a nice and juicy ankle. Unfortunately, she didn't get through the fur to the skin, and just got her sharp little baby teeth stuck in it. With a hearty kick by the big fluffy thing, Havoc was sent away in a ball of ruffled down. As she rolled off, the raptor growled and spit out a bit of fur. Ew! That tasted gross. A salmon-colored tail lashed behind her as she charged once again, but she skidded to a stop and ducked beneath the weredragon's leg.

Egg.

Baby.

Her maternal instinct kicked in and she composed herself more and chirped. "Ra'Havoc! Ra are family!" Then she hopped into the wreckage of the topaz, and gazed at the creature. "Orthrooos?" She clicked her beak, a hollow clang of imperial topaz echoing for only a moment as she thought. "You be... Fluff!" Orthrus was very fluffy.

He'd heard Havoc's voice yelling and squawking. Thing was, after gorging himself on fresh meat, the hybrid was sleepy, groggy, heavy. He didn't feel like moving. Not at first. Then came more commotion and finally, the serpent hoisted his front up with his wings and hummed disapprovingly, eyes searching the cave for his tiny sister. Ah, there she was... but who was she with?

Protective nature flared to life in his throat and he felt a pressing need to be there, to protect her. He moved across the ground at a steady pace and silently slid up behind the trio, raising his body up a quarter of its length, propped on stretched wings, which flared with his crest to be impressive, showing off bright plumage. He hissed, but it wasn't a threatening sound.

"Ra'Si." He didn't even glance at the two strangers. "Stay close to Ra'Riot. Safe." He scolded, pointedly. The creature was a man of few words, and he arched his body, grounded length curling into a pile, feathery tail tip tucking up below his head as he settled onto himself. Why must she always be so quick? His look seemed to express, staring at the tiny twin with mild concern.

The long snake tail of the puppy slithered around behind him, twitching side to side in a rhythmic motion. It was almost peaceful, as he watched what went around before him. First he witnessed one gem get tackled by a smaller gem, and now a third was crawling this way and seem to want to put themselves in front of the smaller of the three. We're they family? The idea of family was new yet, Orthrus understood it somehow. Did he have a family? His right head stayed watching the two 'Ras' while his left turned and smiled slowly to Khoridai. "It is nice to meet you too." Soon his right half spoke as well, "Are you both Ra?" The question directed to the others now, yellow eyes gazed to them and looked to how both of them resembled one another in small ways. "I am Fluff?" He stepped out from the remaining topaz and stood on wobbly legs, but his python tail gave him extra support on the floor. Lucky him. The hybrid was an interesting sight. Clearly most of him was like a puppy with his floppy ears, wet noses and paws, but the scales down his necks, under his belly and to that python-like tail made him stand out. While the gembounds gathered and chatted away, a single creature made of stone and gems has wandered from the dam. Although it seems completely uninterested in the yammering newborns, it already has started to collect remains of Orthrus' shell. The amalgamation is only about a foot tall, and does not seem to even notice the gembounds yet. In its clumsy, rudimentary hands, it has already grabbed fist fulls of broken shards, and appears to be rumbling to itself.

Khoridai's head twisted to the side as he watched the little hen hybrid had ran at him again only to go right under his legs. He nearly jumped, but instead swung his neck down to look beneath him only to yip in surprise when the little fuzz ball went shooting out from beneath him and over to the shattered chrysalis.

He opened his mouth to say something, but another voice quickly drew the dragon wolf pup's attention and he clamped his jowls closed and glanced towards the new creature. This one had no legs! But it had wings! Slowly his tail began to wag about in curiosity as he continued to observe the newest to the group. He obviously knew the little fuzz ball. They must be siblings! A broad grin crossed over his features. He had a brother! And another sibling that his father has mentioned, but she wasn't awake yet. His father was sure she would be soon though.

Shaking his thoughts Khoridai turned his attention to the two headed canine. "You is rather fluffy," He commented with a grin as he waddled a bit closer to them. Though, at the sound of something new Khori froze in his spot and his gaze found themselves pinned onto something strange. A gathering of rocks. Moving rocks?! Rocks that had crystals making up parts of it's body as it lumbered towards the two that were closest to the Chrysalis. "Hey! Look out?! What's that?! He cried out in alarm as his ears pinned back against his skull while he lowered his head. He had never seen something like that!
