Several days had passed since hir birth into the new world, within the tunnel between Polaris and Orion. Since Polaris had lots of scary sounds, so shi went the way that seemed quiet. Shi walked with a crouch, head a tilted as usual. Hir venturing carried hir deep into the room, buildings surrounding hir. Shi looked up to see how tall they were. That's when shi noticed the ceiling. Shi crawled a little farther, then slowly sat up, before looking upward. The quartz stars had hir completely awestruck.

"Wooow," she breathed. "Asgina... loves..."

The puma was soon lost in a trance, orange eyes shining and sparkling with the glitter in the only sky shi would ever know. It was fascinating and stirred amazing feelings within, calming some part of hir mind and the disassociation slowly dissolving for the first time since birth. "I... am so happy."

Xin had been wandering around ever since he emerged into the caves, and soon enough came upon a place that was entirely different from where he had been born. Looking around, the marten noticed the walls were covered in quartz crystals. They glinted off light from below, sparkling and shimmering in the dark. Large pristine crystals sprouted from the ground. Xin poked at a few of them.

He continued to walk until he came upon someone else. He watched them for a bit before looking up in the direction shi was looking. The quartz glistened, and soon Xin was caught in a trance as well. It was truly beautiful. He then looked back at the gembound and slowly walked up to them. With curious eyes, he stopped just in front of hir and stared quizzically.

There was so many shapes to be found within the specks that glimmered endlessly. Shi traced all kinds of things, playing connect the dots with the purest innocence. Noticing the little marten was not at all immediate. The scent of another presence finally attracted hir attention, drawing hir eyes downward toward the ground. Asgina tilted hir head a little more, returning the quizzical expression that was provided by Xin. There was a loud purr before shi lowered hirself onto hir belly, face level with the marten. Shi sniffed at him, then continued the purring. Hir tail swished gently across the dirt, large paws tucking up under hir body.

Xin continued to watch hir. After some time, the other looked at him. He looked back at hir as shi got down to his level, now face to face with him. He blinked, before grinning. Maybe shi would play with him! He wondered how to tell hir that. He opened his mouth, expecting a noise of some sort to come out, but nothing did. A flash of frustration raced its way through him. Why couldn't he say something? It seemed like everyone could say something but him. So he tried a different way. Hir tail was moving, so he bounded over to it and began playing with it. He pawed at it a bit before leaping onto it, playfully biting it with his teeth.

Curiosity filled hir mind and shined in hir eyes. The silence as his mouth opened straightened hir head, as shi was tilting hir head to the right (er, at least was trying to). Orange eyes followed the smallish mammal, tail still flicking. A smile formed, tail starting to wag as the marten chased after. However, when his teeth went down, shi yelped and lunged forward before spinning around to look at the marten, a hurt look on hir face.

Hir tail wrapped around and shi groomed the spot on hir tail he bit, purring in attempts to soothe hirself. She looked back up at him and laid back down, ears to the side in concern. "Asgina liked it until... you made owie."

As soon as his teeth bit down, shi leaped forward and away from him. Slightly confused, the tiny marten looked at hir, his head tilted. He wondered what he did wrong. It wasn't until shi spoke that he realized. He lowered his ears slightly. He hadn't meant to bite, it just sort of came to him naturally. He wished there was some way he could say sorry, but he couldn't speak. So Xin just lowered his head in shame. He hoped it would be enough to show that he was sorry.

Her head tilted back at him as he lowered his head, looking sad all the sudden. She crawled a little closer to him and stretched her neck to lick the top of his head. Asgina purred and adjusted so her side was toward him and flicked her tail toward him, wanting to play with him more. She just hope he wouldn't bite anymore. He was otherwise very cute and seeing him play before was more than a little amusing. "No more owie," she requested, watching him and wiggling her tail about. ---- "Speech." OOC: @Xin

Xin blinked up at the gembound as she licked the top of his head. He then smiled as she adjusted herself so her side was toward him. He immediately noticed her tail flicking and practically dove toward it. He batted it around, playing with it as he was before. This time, however, he made sure he didn't bite it. He loved playing with the tail, and wanted to continue playing with it. If he were to bite, then he might not get another chance to play. He didn't want to risk it, so he made sure to not bite.

A giggle expressed hir enjoyment while watching Xin play with her tail. Shi rolled around, then landed on hir belly, tail still fighting with the ever-energetic Xin. Asgina stood abruptly and tried to bounce around with hir little friend, but flopped over rather swiftly, as if shi were inebriated. Shi sighed, feeling a touch frustrated with hirself. Asgina looked to Xin and smiled again, but this time it was a little sad. She crawled toward him placed a paw on his either side before beginning to groom him. Purr rolled like a motor. ---- "Speech." OOC: @Xin

Xin continued to play with hir tail, grinning widely. He blinked as shi tried to get up, but instead flopped down. He tilted his head in confusion, his grin come. He smiled back at hir as shi smiled at him, but upon seeing the sadness in hir eyes, he stopped. His mouth opened in a soundless yelp of surprise as Asgina crawled toward him and placed a paw on either side and began to groom him. He snuggled up a bit closer, enjoying the feel of hir tongue. Shi was making a strange sound, but he found that he liked it and wished he could make the same sound. Or any sound, really.
