QUESTS/EVENTS
Torrential downpours cause localized flooding and many upset cats. Along with these frequent rain, from gentle drizzles to heavy rainfall, there seems to be a flux of Magicka drawn in particular to water sources. Occasional jet streams of warm air make narrower tunnels harder to navigate. On occasion, the rain intensifies, becoming howling storms with sleet or large hail. However, the temperatures overall are a little warmer, with snow and ice in temperate caves somewhat receding.
A few days must of passed since she'd learned of the word. Love. The elephant had wandered from their home by herself today, finding Jasmine still very much asleep when she left. The way that beauty looked when sleeping... ahh, that must be what real happiness looks like. What true peace is.
Gada's trunk coiled around plants as she passed by, idly browsing on the go. She had no destination or goal, was merely doing some "me time" while she waited for her treasure to wake up and find her. Eridanus seemed to go on forever. It was pleasant. The cover was perfect, the food bountiful, and every resource more than met. Unfortunately, for Gadana Ama, there was still one lacking need she hadn't fulfilled since she first had eyes on Jasmine.
A cave deer trotted by, no sign of fear of the fellow herbivore. A doe. No baby, but not an old woman either. In less than a moment, the demeanor of the elephant shifted and her trunk coiled around something other than plant-life... a neck. There was a crack as she jerked the little deer up into the air, her neck breaking, but not killing her. Gada dropped the deer that twitched and flailed, unable to do more than that. Terror filled it's eyes and it's mouth gaped in absolute horror as the unusual predator loomed over.
"Oh... I'm sorry. Are you in pain?" she asked mockingly, then lowered a foot onto one of it's legs, slowly adding weight, even as she felt the bones in the poor thing's legs break and shatter. It squealed and she found herself stepping on it's nose next, trying to hush it so Jasmine wouldn't hear it. Somehow, the dumb thing continued to live on, air bubbling through the blood that poured from it's crushed maw, wheezing in it's final breaths.
With a sharp, strong stick she took a moment to find, she punctured it's belly and ripped at the flesh. Her eyes brightened as a smile pulled at her face. The innards poured onto the ground and the deer finally went into a deep state of shock. Every remaining limb became rigid and it's breathing practically quit. Her flexible appendage grabbed up intestine and tossed it up, no longer paying any mind as the deer's final moment subsided, death taking it into whatever it's next life may be.
Blood poured out in a wave. Gadanai pulled up as much of the liquid as she could into her trunk, then showered herself with it, gleeful as her grey body became crimson. The stench of fresh death filled the air, which only encouraged her to drop and roll over the carcass, what was remaining being turned to mush, much of it sticking to her skin as she stood.
A pleased sigh escaped her and she stood there for a moment, eyes closing. She needed this. Gadanai had missed her blood baths.

Curled up on the grass bed that was in the cave they had claimed for slumber, Jasmine was sleeping soundly. Dreams full of happiness and peace, the promise of a smile for every tomorrow. All the things that any young girl would hope for in her life. After all, she had began to new life with the elephant, leaving her old life behind her. As long as she had Gada by her side, nothing would ever go wrong again?
Right?
Slipping from her dreams, the giraffe lifted her head up high and realized the one she cared for, No, the one she loved, was not sleeping next to her. There was a slplit second of panic as she struggled to stand but Jasmine took a few deep breaths. She didn't leave you, she just went out for some air. No reason to panic, everything was fine. But, since she was up, why not go look for Gada herself?
Beginning to enter the wall of green, Jas would softly hum to herself; keeping her eyes open so she could spot the other quicker. This room was large, but she doubted that the elephant would wander away to far from the cave. Long legs carried her deeper into the green until she saw the grey figure. Grey and red? Steps slowing down as she approached, the stench in the air was life a wall.
Eyes flickered over the red, all the red. Dancing down to what appeared to be a cave deer, or what was left of one, at the feet of her beloved. So much red . . red everywhere . . It caused a twist in her gut, but the only thought that screamed in her head over all the others spilled from her lips, "Gada . . . what . . . what happened?" The questioning hanging in the air as she stood there, staring at the other female; breathing shallow. What did she do?

It filled her with energy. Sadism, torture, the lack of mercy over the weaker. Something about causing misery and death was just... such a turn on. She opened her eyes again, just about to sigh, when her breath hitched. Jasmine spoke and she spun around to look, horror on her own face for a whole different reason. Why didn't she just stay at the cave a little longer? Why is she here now, of all fucking times?
The elephant looked back to her kill, then looked back to Jasmine. The once comforting feel of blood now felt uncomfortably caked, her own self betraying her dirty secret to Jasmine. Did she tell the truth? Did she risk it? Lying seemed better, but... she wasn't even prepared to bullshit her way out of this. This spontaneous act would normally be no issue, but she'd come to desire Jasmine's company. The sweet giraffe who would likely leave, after this.
"I..." her voice cracked and she swallowed hard. How was she suppose to explain this all away? "Jas... I don't..."
Gadanai dropped her eyes, her body feeling weak with emotions. This is goddamn ridiculous. I shouldn't have to feel this way because of some bitch. Eyes closed, concealing the red irises, but not managing to evaporate the crimson staining her flesh. She bit down on her tongue, trying to find words for this. An explanation that Jasmine would maybe... understand? By the time her eyes opened again, her own blood filled her mouth, but she didn't dare let Jasmine see that, too.
"I killed it," she said flatly, not really sure how else to put it. "I... I was startled by it and... once I started I just... I couldn't stop myself." A white lie. Yes, that's what it was. A harmless white lie. Tell Jasmine she was unaware of her own tendencies. Maybe she would understand. Gadana Ama hoped and prayed her treasure would "understand" and stay, despite this slaughter house scene. "Jas, I..." she took an uncertain step backward, also moving from the body she'd demolished ruthlessly. "There's something wrong with me."
Pity me. Feel for me. Love me. Stay with me. Worship me. Be my treasure forever. You promised. You promised, Jasmine. You promised me you'd stay forever. Don't make me do this to you, too.

There she stood, staring at the gentle giant . . or not so gentle? Everything that was before the female felt so many questions unanswered and all of them wanted to scream out. Demanding an explanation but she found that she wasn't able to raise her voice to Gada. They looked so shocked to see the giraffe just now, red eyes saying so many things but only would drop from eye contact. Jasmine held her breath, holding it as anticipation for a reason was given. "I killed it." Green orbs grew wide, But . . . why? There had to be a reason?
A reason that justified this act? Heartbeat slamming against her chest, not like a flutter for before, but a heavy thud. Wanting to break free from this confusion. Just keep it together, let her finish. Breath was soon released upon the others claim. Oh . . . she was startled? Relief washed over her face upon this claim, taking a step closer now to Gadanai.
But to hear her say something was wrong with her . . that surprised her more then the day cave-deer. If that was even possible. Her expression melted to worry and she walked over to the elephant. "No no no, there is nothing wrong with you!" Sealing the space between them as she laid her head on top of the other. "You were startled and just reacted. For someone so young, you are so strong." Jasmine remembered when Gada told her she was a warrior and it meant she was already on edge to fight. This was only an accident, a horrible accident.
As she leaned onto her, there was sure to be some red smearing onto her coat now. "I'm here . . and I promise you are perfect just the way you are." Placing a kiss to her temple, Jasmine closed her eyes. The giraffe was sure of it, she had to be. Or everything that she was doing was for nothing. I promised you, I'll be with you forever. And she meant it. They would get through this together.

She held her breath. Gada felt like she was turning bluish, but truth was, she remained the same dark grey color. Jasmine finally responded with words and she let out her held breath, relief blanketing her. Jasmine was too kind. So sweet. How did Gadanai get so lucky with such a treasure, such a beauty? It was not easy to hold onto her, that was for sure.
Perfect the way I am? Well, I cannot say I disagree in the slightest, m'love. Her stained trunk hugged the giraffe, eyes closing once more. The breathing of the two was a different kind of pleasure; one that brought on a special kind of calm. Gadanai gave a rumble.
"You are beautiful, my treasure... and I love you."
The words burned her mouth. It tasted vile. Love? She caressed with her trunk. It's strong like hate, but is different.
The tenseness in the hair still lingered, along with the scent of the cave deer. These factors left the giraffe in a das but for now what was important was to make sure Gada didn't beat herself over their accident. She wouldn't run away if something seemed amiss, then again, where would she go? Jasmine promise to be with her forever, and now that there was a feeling in her heart that cared for the elephant more . . . well now she had something that tied her to Gadanai. Something more then just the promise. I need her and she seems to need me as well. It was all to perfect, to have someone to hold.
Though, when the words were made real and spoken allowed, it sent a chill down her spine. Love, such an interesting emotion; so powerful and captivating. It was a part of the reason why the giraffe showed remorse for the grey female instead of panicking over the kill itself. She cared for Gada and it scared her to see her loose control of herself. Jas wanted to help her somehow, be there for her.
She lifted her head up to try and find those red eyes, seeming to be like gems themselves, to gaze into them for a moment. "I love you as well, I will always be here for you." Even if she wasn't strong like the other, she had never fought in her life and probably seemed so weak. Green eyes lingered on Gadanai, watching her expression. As well as to all the red. Maybe a rinse would do them both some good. Realizing now that she had gotten blood all over the front of her chest from where she leaned against the other.
Gadanai felt her heart pump hard as Jasmine returned her love. She locked eyes with the tall lady, smiling softly. Always here. Maybe someday she would be able to get her love to accept her violence without having to lie about it.
Eyes drifted down to the red on the giraffe's chest, suddenly feeling a little stir inside. Jasmine looked extra lovely with the color mixed into her coat. It was too bad she couldn't say it out loud, or... could she? Gadanai chose to not push her luck, today. It was bad enough she'd been caught. Luck would have it, though, that Jasmine would be blind enough to love her anyway, believing her fibs. Fool. Beautiful fool... beautifully foolish.
"Let's... go wash you off," she said. She didn't want to wash herself, but figured she may have to. The smell was like a perfume to the elephant, covering her with a feeling better than what dirt or mud could achieve. Trunk extended upward, stroking Jasmine's narrow chin once before leading the way to the ponds.
Thoughts wandered within her mind, brain considering all the possibilities ahead. Life here was good and this would always be home, but she desperately needed to find a "legitimate" outlet for her sadism. Something that Jasmine may not question too much. Perhaps someone would allow Gadanai would to join their allegiance, if there was even one present that would suit what she was seeking.
The blood was spread all over her front, yet she wasn't showing great concern for it at this time. Maybe it didn't bother her as much as it should have or was it because she was focusing on the elephant over herself at this time. Though, the suggestion to clean herself up was taken with a soft nodding. Legs carried her back to the direction of the pools, glancing to her side to make sure she didn't leave Gadanai behind with her steps. The blood was crack and dry over his chest be the time she made it back to the opening in the green; the shimmering twin pools lay waiting.
Carefully, she stepped into the water and walked til the water level went to the base of her neck. The water was turning red around the giraffe, surrounding her. "Hmmm . . " Considering how to rub away the red, but lifted her gaze over to Gada. "Care to join me?" Maybe the other could help her rub this from her fur?
Jasmine wasn't sure what to make of this event, but only that she took what she saw a lot better then she could ever image. There was so much red, all over her sweet Gada, herself and the green around the two of them when she found the other. Red covering the green, like the elephants red gaze covering her own green eyes. Poetic? Maybe not completely, but she wouldn't forget what she saw. The things in life that don't kill you make you into a stronger gembound. be strong, for her. And she needed to be strong for Gada, if she was to stay by her side and help her through any of her accidents.
Gadanai watched Jasmine emerge herself in the cool waters, admiring her until she requested the company of the elephant. Her concern for the blood melted away as she waded in. Not as tall as the giraffe, she found herself floating along, paddling about and circling Jas. She grinned, blowing bubbles in the water. Red trailed behind her as she stopped, treading water beside Jas.
Red eyes met the clumped fur of the tall one. She reached and began to wipe at it, gazing at it as it slipped into the waters. The pond became relatively red tinted, the cave deer's blood staining it pleasantly. After Jasmine was cleaned, she swam to shallower water, stopping once she was able to stand on her own and loaded her trunk up with water before reaching backward with it, blowing the water over her back.
The elephant glanced back at Jasmine, then flopped into the water, causing waves. All that was exposed was the end of her trunk, inhaling fresh air. Below, she blew bubbles from her mouth and rooted her tusks around in the muddy bottom. She exploded back out of the water, weeds and mud dripping from her tusks. Another load went into her nose before she turned and sprayed Jasmine for the second time ever, grinning and laughing playfully.
The water felt nice on her coat, and feeling the sticky blood wash away was soothing as well. Not having a hang trunk like Gada made it hard to scratch itches on her own form. So, it was nice when the other reached out and rubbed the rest of the blood from her coat. So helpful and Jas would give a thanking smile. Watching Gada go in and out of the water, the giraffe would wade a little bit longer. Legs long enough to reach the bottom of the shallow end of the pool.
But, right as she was about to get out, water was splashed right at her. Turning to stare at the culprit. It was her again. The sound of Gada's laughter took away from the sudden shock was the water attack and Jas would join in with a giggle. Crawling out of the water, she shook her body and sprinkled a little rain over the other. There, right back at her. She stood over them, still a laughter was in her chest. The giraffe's mind was eased so easily.
