Torrential downpours cause localized flooding and many upset cats. Along with these frequent rain, from gentle drizzles to heavy rainfall, there seems to be a flux of Magicka drawn in particular to water sources. Occasional jet streams of warm air make narrower tunnels harder to navigate. On occasion, the rain intensifies, becoming howling storms with sleet or large hail. However, the temperatures overall are a little warmer, with snow and ice in temperate caves somewhat receding.

THIS IS IT CHILDREN. THE WAR FOR THE HERBIVORES VS THE CARNIVORE
it is an ALL WELCOME thread
There is NO POSTING ORDER. This will be moved along. There will be characters fighting certain characters. and it will get a little hectic. But just try to get posts in as soon as you can so that the fight can get well. Characters will fight till their decided rounds, they can fight in groups, they can fight 1vs3 should they so choose. Just try to keep it as clear as possibly so nothing gets confused.
Also, I am just saying that Rae has found Hasira preparing his herbivores to an assault and runs to find all those who are assisting in their downfall. If you wish to have a IC thread about it, then tell me and we can liquid time the thread before this thread. Either way. All characters will be informed and called upon by Arkrael. Same goes for Hasira's group.
This was it. This was what had been building for cycles. The wolfess knew since the day she found Hasira not truly dead, but hiding away in the shadows of Orion healing, that this would happen. She had only found him gathering his followers hours ago and in that moment she had fled Orion. Arkrael had went to all who she knew would face the evil. Leon, Amaria, Cancer, and all of them. They had all been contacted and told the situation and hopefully they would all come. The very air in the tunnel was growing tense, silent in it's calm before the storm. A restlessness soon set in upon Arkrael causing her to begin pacing back and forth.
Her hear pounded against her chest as her thoughts were in a whirlwind. How long had she prepared herself for this moment. Knowing full well that Vazi would only want retaliation all the more sooner with every loss he faced? She had thought him dead after the group had gone and retaliated against the assault on the cub Cure. Having not been able to be there, she had only heard wind from Leon of what had happened. Leon had claimed him dead. Defeated. Lost into Orion without rest. It had numbed her to hear it, nearly shattered her to the point where she had to force herself from her den every day. She had eventually found herself wandering through Orion. Searching for him. Looking for the gem that would have surely been left behind should he had really perished. Yet it was not his gem that she had found.
Her eyes searched the entrance to Orion. Waiting. Anxiously waiting. He knew his plans. Knew where he intended to unleash his war, but she would not allow that to reach Eridanus. No, she would stop him before he reached anything outside of Orion. It would be now that Hasira was put down for good. She stopped in her pacing, lifting her head tall and proud as she narrowed her eyes at Orion's Entrance. Wind rushed through, bringing to her the many scents of who she could only assume be the ones Hasira was leading. A large dragonbat swooped in front Eridanus shortly after, perching himself on the ceiling hidden in the darkness. His voice filled her thoughts, but she did not answer him. Now was no time to be distracted. Nor was it any time to give in to her broken emotions.
Movement drew her attention and for a moment a single ear twisted around to listen behind her. They were finally arriving...perhaps soon enough that their entire presence would be of surprise to Hasira and his followers.

You fell away,
What more can I say?
The feelings evolved,
I won't let it out,
I can't replace...
Your screaming face,
Feeling the sickness inside
Rage. It consumed her once again. The she-wolf from Eridanus had called upon them once more. Once again they found out that what they had hoped to succeed in had failed. Hasira was still alive. Her head was held low as she prowled through the tunnels. Taking the long way around to Tunnel I just to be sure that Hasira did not see her going through while he rallied his followers. Long, extended fangs bared for all the see as her fur bristled down along her neck and spine. It was beyond her how the stag had even surived the first time herself and many others had went and attempted to deal with him. Yet he had, and now he was planning his own assault.
Amaria would not sit back idly anymore. She would go and face this threat once again, even if she no longer had any obligation to do so. Her powerful dragon like tail flicked about, expressing the mutated Leopard's annoyance as she hurried along. Not far behind her was her child. The cub who hasira had kidnapped, among others, only a few cycles ago. Amaria had insisted she stay behind. That she was not prepared for what would come from this gathering, but Cure refused her. Stating she would be there and that she had every right to be there. It was with much displeasure that Amaria had finally given in to her cub and they had set out to meet up where Arkrael had said to gather.
She wasn't sure what Carcino would decide to do, but it was on him to come or not. Either way it didn't matter to Amaria. Her thoughts were quickly interrupted when she finally found herself within the tunnel. Arkrael was just before her, standing tall and rigid as she stared towards the entrance to Orion. She came closer to her, stood just behind her as she instantly turned her gaze to the entrance as well. Not a word was spoken between the two as finally her daughter had came up beside them as well. Cure had regarded Arkrael quietly, but for the most part remained silent.
Narrowing her eyes for a moment, Amaria tried to scent the wind, hoping to scent out how many Hasira could potentially be bringing. When it was nothing but a mess of intwined scents Amaria relied on her magic. She called upon it, wishing it to life and soon the gem upon her scaled tail flickered and flashed briefly.

"Speech" | 'Thoughts' | @Xerxes
Tagging just in case you wanted him here as well since Cure is going to be part of the fighting..
Anxiety. It was probably the one thing that Cure had felt since Arkrael had found her way to Canis and relayed the news to the BoneBound. It sent many emotions through her all at once, colliding and clashing until she was at a loss on how to truly feel about it. It had taken her a long time to finally decide on how to react to it and when she had a bickering erupted between herself and her mother. She had, fortunately, won the argument and she now followed behind her mother as they traveled and made their way to the Tunnel Arkrael had mentioned.
Her heart strummed heavily against her chest the closer they got to the tunnel. Cure struggled with her emotions and the ever brewing anxiety that tried to overcome her. Her tail was motionless behind her, nearly dragging along the ground as she walked, but she dared not let it for she wished not to make a sound as they hurried along. Her thoughts went to Xerxes for a moment, wondering if he would understand why she had went. Then her thoughts trailed to Remedy and her body tensed, but when it came to her mind finding it's way to Ashteroth something began to boil deep inside of her. Fangs flashed as her eyes narrowed. She could not be scared of this. She would not allow herself. She had to help put a stop to this monster. A monster who had not only caused her great suffering, but even more suffering to her dear Ashteroth.
There was no time to allow anxiety and fear to consume anything. She had to fight against it and be strong. She had to be strong for the ones she loved. Cure lifted her head and set her hardened gaze upon the entrance as she strolled up towards Arkrael and her mother. No matter how this ended, no matter the outcome, Cure would fight. Inexperienced or not, she would take this head on and take down the ones who thought it was okay to harm other gembounds just because they could.
Remedy is allowed in any of her threads regardless of tags. Twin power yo~
Although he didnt like the idea of Cure joining in on this war, he couldn't let her go alone. Granted, she had her mother, but Xerxes would be a really bad friend if he didnt at least support her. So with some hesitation, he bolted after Cure and her mother in the direction they headed towards. Catching up with them moments later, he breathed heavily as he tried to catch his breath. Although he wasnt full grown yet, he still wanted to protect his friend! Or at least be there if things didn't work out like he hoped.
He really hoped things worked out on their end. He didnt know what he would do without her...
"I changed my mind.." He panted, slowing to a better pace at Cures side. He then looked to Amaria and smiled a tired smile, his breathing still trying to catch up with him.

note: azazel is wearing his armor, it just isn't mentioned in this thread
He'd waited for this moment for so long. He'd bided his time. With the return of his daughter, Azazel was happy. But it hadn't been quite enough. No.
For the first time ever, Azazel Vita sought revenge. Fury had filled him as he anxiously awaited the call to battle, to battle alongside his comrades to put the vile evil to rest for good. The lammergeier was only concerned about tearing into the flesh of the so-called lord that had his own part in destroying his precious daughter and daring to mess with him. For the first time ever, Azazel was in full-out rage. At the call, he flew as fast as he could, gliding in only the warm air currents that would get him there quicker. So he waited in silence, perched upon a ledge in the room, hunched down and waiting.
Waiting...

They converged upon the Tunnel I, in singles and pairs and all with one resolute goal. Carcino had shared his mate's fury upon hearing that Hasira had survived. When he'd dropped the limp stag, he'd been so sure the monster had been slain. He'd been so certain, but so blind. He'd tasted the black tar of death since then.
He found it bittersweet.
When Amaria moved out with Cure, Remedy had tried to follow them, but Carcino had held her back. "We'll go in pairs," he'd told her, and with good reason. Where Amaria and Cure had their natural protection- size, scales, a crest of hardened horns, he and Remedy needed protection. He dressed her in his old leather, and himself in his scales and crystal and together, they'd snuck through Orion without being noticed, to meet with the rest of their family.
To fight a war.
When they arrived, Carcino immediately took up a place beside Amaria, feline stalking position, putting her on his blind side- he trusted her in that way. Remedy split to join Cure and the lion he'd become used to seeing her with. He'd briefed them already on what was to come, and was certain Amaria had done the same. They knew the risks. They knew the cost.
The new generation had been born into a savage world.
Perhaps their actions today would help make it a better place for the next new lives to come.
She'd been waiting for this chance most of her life. When they'd been told the devil deer who'd stolen her sister as cubs was still alive, Remedy had been the first to declare this to be a temporary status. She'd been the most passionate about going to fight him, to join the war, and despite that, she'd been one of the last to leave. Mostly because Carcino had decided she needed better protection.
The leather framing her chest and shoulders felt heavy. She couldn't fly very far like this, but something told her she'd not be needing to. She'd tested the air and the weight with a circle around Canis before leaving with her father to join the rest of their family in the tunnel between Eridanus and Orion.
It was a risk, travelling through Orion to get there, but one they took willingly and cautiously. They arrived unnoticed and found that many other Bonebound had already joined the group, heeded the call. Amongst them was Cure, and beside her, the lion with horns who'd stolen her sister's attention away recently.
Remedy didn't mind, apparently. She slid up beside Cure with an affectionate chirp, touching the tip of her beak to her sister's neck. Her heart was pounding, and in touching Cure's throat, she wondered if she'd feel the same rapid beat in her twin.
"I'm not just gonna watch this time." She promised, guilt-ridden and determined to make things right. She'd not leave Cure's side through any of it. Not this time. Not ever again. She'd already lost too much. She'd never lose Cure, ever again, not to anyone.
She was called here by Arkrael when she was plant gathering in Eridanus, telling her there was to be a huge fight against the monsters that hurt others in the caves, and Cayenne had nodded, grabbed her pack, and ran to follow her as quickly as she possibly could. Now, so many gems were in this room, ready and waiting for the battle to start, and Cayenne was completely made of nerves. Her gut was stabbing her abdominal wall, it felt like, her palms were shaking, her fur around her shoulders were on edge. The general air of the room was full of anger and ready-made violence, stagnant and electric, and she felt sick.
She didn't know what would happen, or who she could even help, but she would try her best. She would save as many lives for Ark's friends as she possibly could.

He felt truly lost, betrayed even, when Arkrael had delivered the news to him that Hasira survived. And worst of all, that the stag was mounting an attack. He had been lulled into security, thinking that they had destroyed him on the day they all ambushed him in Orion - and Leon had never once felt guilty for it, knowing that Hasira had caused them all enough pain, he deserved everything that had come to him. The caves were better without him poisoning their air and the minds of those that tried to seek refuge. And yet he'd been wrong. In his guiltless gallivanting, he had not realized that their affront had only made him angrier, stronger, filled him with the resolve of a wounded man. And whoever would fall to his wrath today, that would be a weight on his own shoulders.
Leon was quick to follow Arkrael to the tunnel, lingering behind her. His size offered a powerful defense against anybody that stood against him, but he knew this time it wouldn't just be the stag. It would be everyone that he had gathered behind him. Herbivores with horns, tusks, hooves, and powerful magic to back them up. He waited in silence, unnerved by what might come to them. His distracted came as the arrival of the Bonebound, including Cancer and Amaria, and Leon averted his eyes from them - and then Aza'zel, to whom the bear's gaze lingered and darkened. They hadn't yet gone to the Bonebound to seek retribution for Bevy's death. And nor had the Bonebound come to them with an apology. Their betrayal had poisoned his mind, and he found himself hating it more and more and wondering, in the chaos, if he could unleash his own wrath for their wrongdoings.
Was he really so petty that he would exact his vengeance without seeking the truth? Would he go back on his friendship with the bone bird, for this? Bevy wouldn't want that. You took her from me.
He simmered in silence. The war would see chaos in this cave from behind the maw of the scorned bear. He would atone for his failures - he would see permanence in death this time.
Something seemed wrong; terribly fucking wrong. As she glided along through the tunnel, she caught sight of a gathering of carnivores, all seeming ready for something. Tension could be cut with a knife, and she perched herself up high and as out of sight as possible. Something here just seemed so wrong.
Giga caught a glimpse of a black furred thing, which she could only guess was her Mama Cay. She cringed. It could only mean that everything was about to explode. All the things in the wind about Hasira, including Hasira's own words. This must be it, and she felt horribly torn, a sickness growing in her gut. What could she do? Heal. Today was painful already. Death was destined, but...
"Nobody will be turned down by Gigatsuhali Yinehi," she spoke softly, thinking out loud. It didn't matter who was right or wrong, good or evil. Giga swore she would heal all, and now she could prove how true and serious she was. This was going to be a hard day. A test of her will, strength, and abilities.
