"Ah, that sounds perfect!" Romeo nodded in satisfaction. Spiders didn't bother him too much, just so long as they didn't crawl in his noise-maker. Or build their nasty little webs in there. Ugh. "Uhm, I'll try not to hurt the spiders' feelings," he said a little sheepishly. He'd handle that when it came to it, he figured. 'Sides, I don't think they'll like the noise vibrating them inside out all the time.

Romeo looked at the nervous little creature as they shrunk down a little. Nerves. that'll be it. Romeo didn't have many nerves, but he knew what fear was. Fear was that one time he'd dropped his noise-maker quite hard, or when he'd been flung by the wind only minutes ago. He understood, and for the first time he felt somewhat of a connection to the fidgety little thing.

"Mmm-hmmm. I enjoy the company. I like to talk. I love all the voices most of all, though."

Romeo hastily slung the wooden object over his back and hobbled after Fritz, heavily weighted down by the noise-maker. He got there, and the opening was indeed small. Big enough for him, but not quite big enough for both him and the object on his back. Thinking carefully for a few moments, he nodded quietly before lifting the instrument from his back. Carefully, he began to push it through the hole ahead of him. He was satisfied as he felt it slide into the darkness without too much trouble, before Romeo himself quickly followed after.

For Fritz, the five minute trail through the passageway was relatively easy, aside from a few particuarly jagged walls and especially thick spider webs. There was only one majorly tight squeeze near the end. It only gently dragged at the marmoset's ragged fur, but may prove a little tricky for Romeo. However, Fritz didn't quite consider this, and so continued on ahead until it became brighter and the exit was in sight.

After exiting the tunnel, the expanse that he had talked about had been reached, and it was pretty high up, near the start of the ledges. The rocky area was relatively limited in space and over the edge was a pretty decent view of a portion of Monoceros, and a border of Merrymen syndicate territory. It was safe here, though, as far as Fritz knew.

He stopped, and turned around to the entrance, where he presumed Romeo would emerge from at any point. The marmoset had a bit of webbing on his nose, but he didn't realise, and therefore looked even scufffier than usual.

"Ya' might n-not be able to get up here through tha' way if ya' grow, but I really hope this works!... I can usually see a lot of creatures go past monoceros f-from here. The' usually don't notice if I try t-to get their attention though..."

Romeo followed behind as closely as he could, but was forced to nudge his noise-maker along ahead of him as the tunnel seemed too narrow to accommodate him lifting it onto his back and he was afraid of causing it harm on the jagged rocks. As a result, the going was slow and the marmoset soon disappeared down the tunnel ahead of him, leaving the raccoon dog to navigate it alone for the time being.

Romeo kept twitching and flicking and giving nervous glances around whenever he felt something brush against his fur. The spiderwebs clung to his soft fur and he greatly disliked the feeling, occasionally trying to rub it off against the cave walls only to find that more had stuck to him in the process. So eventually he continued, jerking and twitching, worried that the crawling feeling might not be just a web next time... He shuddered.

Just so long as they stayed off the noise-maker...

Romeo finally saw the light at the end of the tunnel! ...and it was even smaller than the entrance to it. A little prickle of dread hung on his heart. He hoped the noise-maker would fit through...

He approached it, getting ever closer. He pushed it... and it caught on the rocks. Romeo felt disappointment rising in his chest, heartbeat picking up under his gem.

Fritz had been glancing blissfully over at the view when a few muffled noises from the shaft snagged his attention. Tail raised, he sharply turned around, peering into the tunnel, his glowing eyes taking in the sight of the noisemaker, slightly enclosed in a stony entrapment. It took him a few long seconds to realise what the problem was,

"Lemme try somethin' out!" He squeaked.

The marmoset friskily scurried over the wall at the back of the area and seized a large piece of chrysalis. At his return, he squirmed a little into the entrance and started hitting it firmly against the rocks that were stopping Romeo's noise maker from moving. He wasn't particularly strong by any consideration, but he was very determined and if it worked, it would shatter the rock into smaller pieces, essentially freeing the raccoon dog's prized possession from the stubborn amass.

"Alrighty, take your time," Romeo said cautiously, watching as the little being scurried off to grab a piece of sparkling stone. What's he gonna do with that exactly....? Romeo wondered to himself at first, fretted slightly as the little creature came back with it, and felt his heart panicking under his gem as he brought it down...

But it hit off the rock. Aha. ha. ha...

Romeo let out a heavy sigh, all the tension leaving him. But even that didn't help much. Romeo bent down slightly, and used a paw to try and tilt the wooden object upwards, trying to maneuver it in a different way through the small opening. It took a little bit of maneuvering, but he got it! it slid smoothly ahead of him, out into the bright opening. In the bright light he wanted to briefly check to make sure the ukelele hadn't picked up any 'friends'...

But first there was the matter of him getting out there, too.

Fun.

But the noise maker was, in-fact, a lot chunkier than he was, and he'd slightly overestimated his own size. He was able to pass through without too much trouble considering the bother they'd had with the instrument.

As Romeo tugged both his instrument and himself through, Fritz watched stately, humming. He had totally helped. Totally.

"See. Told ya' it was easy. In fact ah think ya' made the tunnel l-larger with ya noise thing. Nice one!"

His voice was particularly loud, but only because he was used to shouting above the piercing gusts. Also, as he spoke, the sound seemed to resonate on the ledge. But other than that, there was silence.

Heaving a tired exhale, he lay on some moss and fungi close to the side, contently playing with a bit of what looked like glass and watching how the light refracted on the light gems that made sure that the area wasn't pitch black. He tried biting it, but it seemed not to his taste.

"Ya' the first otha' creature t-to come here with me... so thanks."

The marmoset put down the glass and went back to studying Romeo, with an almost starry eyed demeanor and his clawed paws clasped together cheerfully.

"Go ahead try it! T-try ya' sound ma'thingie."

Once through, Romeo gave a rather violent shake and raised a paw in order to pat the sticky wens off of his fur. But unfortunately as he did so they only seemed to stick to his paw, prompting him to shake that instead. He didn't even want to think about how many of their inhabitants he'd brought with him too.

"Aha... that's right... easy..." he sang, a little preoccupied with the webs on one paw, unaware that the rest of him was still a little 'wrapped up' as well. After a pause, he strode over to see if his noisemaker was okay.

A few spiderwebs, but they came away easily because it didn't have fur... only to stick to him instead.

"Oh, uh... Well, you're welcome, I guess," he said, and offered a sheepish smile, still awkwardly twitching his paw. He shook himself again, sneezing as some web tickled his nose. But the webs stayed right where he was, causing him to look at Fritz feebly and start to dread the journey back.

"Oh, right! Yes! O-one minute..." He shook himself again, to no avail. He jumped a little as a big black spider scurried between his front paws.

He quietly watched, amused for a little bit as Romeo struggled to displace the sticky webbing which covered him from head to toe. However, once he realised the tanuki was having particular trouble with this task, he grew a sensation of duty, which motivated him to jump up and squeak -

"Fritz to tha' rescue! Spider friends, p-please leave Romeo alone!"

As he neared the spectacle, Fritz pounced gently on the scurrying black spider and grasped it, redirecting it to a small piece of coverage by the wall where he had once resided. Not wasting any time, the young marmoset then proceeded to use his thin claws to help the creature get the webs off of his furry frame.

"It's ruinin' ya' good l-looks, eh? Gotta' look ya' best ah suppose... otherwise c-creatures judge you... don't want tha' right?"

He brushed some spiders off where he could find them, his eyes squinted as though he was thinking deeply, despite the smallness of his head which suggested the complete lack of any sort of impressive brain.

"Bein' honest, i've never seen anyone like ya', or ya' noise maker. How d-did creatures react to ya when you woke?"

Romeo looked up at Fritz as he heard that squeaking voice give a shout and watched the marmoset's actions curiously as he began to move towards him. The Tanuki was hopeful that maybe he'd start to help, his chromatic eyes watching patiently and a little expectantly. But it seemed the spider, whom Romeo had only just skittered away from, had priority here. Fritz tried to direct the spider away from him, which was... more successful than Romeo had anticipated, to be honest, however needless he thought it was.

"Er, thank you, spider friends...?" Romeo directed the statement more at Fritz out of politeness more than anything.

Ah, there was what he'd been waiting for. Fritz began to 'peel' the webs from his thick fur. The thick, loosely held strands came away fairly easily, leaving behind the well-stuck strands. "Aha-ha. I'll say," he agreed, licking some webs off his chest. "'Specially if eyes are gonna be on me." As he said this, he began to make his way over to the noise-maker, checking it carefully for webs or stray spiders.

An interesting question. Romeo hummed thoughtfully in the back of his throat and ran his soft paw pad over the strings of his noise-maker. He remembered the first creature he'd met, and couldn't resist a small smile. "When I woke... well, I haven't met that many since, but... There's been a lotta eyes on my gem. First thing I met tried to climb on me. A little green snake. It was rather odd, but she said she thought me very handsome."

ooc: You reply so quickly you wonderful person, have some luff <3

He relaxed at the edge of the platform, gazing across at the view , comparing the vastness of the room to his paws, which looked similiar in his perspective. It was a buffet of sights under the glowing crystals that gleamed as lively as ever but still, there was a certain absence of other gembounds passing through. He hummed to himself quietly as he listened to Romeo and waited airily until he had finished,

"Have ya' seen it since? T-the snake?" he piped up, relatively unconcious of the insensitivity of his choice of term, "Ah mean, it seems like ya' could get lost easy in here and never f-find creatures ever again... Tha' would be p-pretty crappy..."

Is it only a game of chance whether you find another gembound in these tunnels?

"Also, don't ya' worry t-that creatures aren't goin' to like ya' music?" Fritz furthered as he rolled over to his side and watched the raccoon dog reminiscing.
