Oh my goodness, an event!
Oh boy, looks like Party Master TO has cooked up a new event for us this month... Shy Valentines! It looks like an awful lot of fun, and you can find it right
here! Go and spread the love! Remember that your deadline to sign up is
February 10th! Wait... there's a note here. It says to "look out for the little pink flowers that seem to be found in rare patches across the caves". Hm. Looks like your characters might be out on a little hunt! (See below)
Loves Me, Loves Me Not?
Strange, pink flowers are blooming through the caves just in time for Valentine's Day! Feel free to check them out, there seems to be something strange going on here... So far, one had bloomed in
Eridanus,
Orion, and
Monoceros be on the look-out for more, as they only seem to bloom one at a time. Don't worry, though, every time one blooms, it will be added here, so check back often!
Rule Update
The guidebook has been updated to add a new rule about re-rolling. While we expect that most members know not to do this, we just want to clarify that re-rolling an attempt roll is an attempt to circumvent the game mechanics, and against the rules. Re-rolling is the act of deleting your post and reposting it with a new roll. Please refrain from doing this, especially since the staff team can see your deleted posts - we always know what's goin' on!
Reminders
As usual, we'd like to remind you guys about a few things...
Vote for Origin!
At the bottom of the index in our affiliates section we have a button for Animus Top 50. If you'd like to help out raising awareness about Origin, you can click that button and vote for us! Of course this isn't necessary, only a small favor to Origin should you choose to do it.
Thread Sweep
All threads that have not been posted in since January 1st have been archived.
The Cave Report
It begins.
Arkrael gives life to the stibnite stone that Totum entrusted to her. What sort of Gembound will be born of it? The stone cannot be touched - it is poisonous. Just what has Totum planned to bring into the Cave and for what reason?
Blurred Lines
Gadanai and Jasmine have an interesting relationship, to say the least. Blurred Lines is a thread that will make you feel uncomfortable as slave and owner start to grow close-- the line between "treasure" and "lover" blurred to the point of indistinguishability. It's an unhealthy relationship at best, but morbid curiousity might make you want to read more...
Tracing Halos In The Sky
Where there is darkness, there is also light. Gigatsuhali, a kind vulture who seeks to heal anyone who needs her, has found the broken and battered Ashtoreth. Kidnapped and beaten by Hasira and his ilk, surely the hybrid would have died without her intervention. With the help of both old and new friends, Ash might just be able to escape her fate.
is it you or me?
Louie is back from the dead, and a tiny numbat named Priest is struggling to rebuild what they once lost... All while Louie insists his name is Booker. A thread full of feels, and by the end, neither of them will be the same. Louie, you big dumb idiot, just go to Eridanus and be happy, would you?! You could be happy, and that would be enough!
old pale memories of someone you knew
A quiet night, two old friends find each other, beaten and broken. Neither of them can hardly believe that the other is real, but their bond is strong enough that through everything they've faced, they can still find comfort and trust in one another... Carnivore and Herbivore, it doesn't really matter in the end. Ashtoreth and Eosphoros-- keep an eye on these two.
[BB / AW] REBOUNDING
Aza'zel, the leader of the Bonebound, calls his friends and family to join him. Everyone has come, from Giggle who everyone thought was dead, to the Carcino's family and and handful of brand new members. Aza'zel warns them about Maji Walezi and the coming Herbivore and Carnivore war, and then splits everyone into pairs to practice-- carefully-- for the days to come with a quick spar. Come check on Bonebound's biggest thread in cycles!
If something interesting is happening in your thread, send a PM to the Origin Cave account or alert the staff in the cbox. We'd love to cover it in the current or next issue of The Cave Report!
