Now mostly free of spiderwebs and mostly finished checking his noisemaker for invaders, Romeo raised himself to his paws and scurried over to where the little marmoset sat on the edge of the ledge, though he kept a careful eye on his noise-maker. Though fidgety, it was almost doubtless that the little creature beside him was harmless, and he was beginning to relax. Not that he was ever all that tense in the first place.

Maybe it was the spiders.

"Well, now that you mention it..." He paused, seemingly oblivious to the insensitive terminology. Although as usual, Romeo took time to consider his own choice of words. "No. Not since I left Eridanus. Though, I know where she'll be if I ever gotta find her again, so... Well, never really thought it as a bad thing I guess." Romeo shrugged a little nonchalant.

Fritz asked him a question, and Romeo tilted his head to one side.

"Never really thought about that before. The way I see it, my music is as much for me as it is for others. People can listen if they wanna, but so long as it sounds good to me, I'm happy." Romeo smiled slightly, as truth be told he'd never thought about performing in front of others before he'd come here. He didn't feel any fear or worry. He just felt... A thrill, as he thought about what he'd come to create. If others liked it too, then that was just an added bonus.

But when he thought about it further, Romeo truthfully didn't know how it'd feel. He supposed he'd soon find out.

"That being said, shall we see if this place lives up to expectations?" He asked with a grin, bounding back to his noise-maker.

@Fritz -- thank you! Same for you! ^w^

Fritz listened admirably as Romeo spoke, only once or twice getting distracted by his buzzing thoughts, 'my music is as much for me as it is for others' He liked that concept, though he was very concerned about pleasing everyone. He watched the raccoon dog and how much his music satisfied him. Something like that could easily bring gembounds together...

...Shall we see if this place lives up to it's expectations?...

"W-wait!" The marmoset abruptly squeaked springing up with his eyes wide. He had a faint plan, but it was enough, espeically since he loved aesthetic. Only giving Romeo a quick glance, he scurried towards the wall of the ledge so that he could scale it, with gusto, leaving Romeo on the 'ground'.

In his efforts of advancing up the wall, Fritz faltered for a second, so that he could think over this scheme of his. He looked across, eagerly, to where light was coming from to illuminate the area. Measuring the distance briefly, he then leapt to one of the ropes that held the light glass ball which created it the illumination. The force at which he jumped onto it caused it swing to the side due to the weight, and returned back to the direction of the wall with speed. As it came closer to the wall he grappled onto one of the verges with his claws and wound the rope slightly around a jutting piece of rock. This enabled him to, slightly, and with some difficulty place it at an angle where it shone on Romeo.

"Okay ya' can stop waitin' now."

Romeo raised an eyebrow as he watched the little marmoset. Romeo had to admit, the little guy had some climbing skills although it took the Raccoon dog a while to realize what the creature was actually doing. He leaped onto a lantern, and with a little thrill of fear romeo watched it swing. He didn't want to be held responsible if Fritz fell.

But then, Fritz wound the light around a rocky spire so that it shone directly on Romeo, momentarily blinding him. His gem gleamed bright, sparking reflections every time he moved. And Romeo felt good, standing there in the very centre; all the limelight was on him. He liked that feeling, of all eyes his way. The perfect inspiring mood. Romeo wordlessly picked up his noisemaker, ran his claws over it as a small test.

I need some atmosphere, he thought to himself, and focused on the air around him. His gem flickered not just with the lantern light, truly casting the heart below in brightness. The air around him trembled, bringing with it a soft, deep hum. Not too much that it was overpowering, just a gentle droning sound. Romeo sucked in his breath, leaning most of his weight on his noise-maker so that it'd keep him upright, and ran his claws over the strings in a delicate motion.

From a quiet sound test, Romeo picked up the pace, plucking the strings in a well-rehearsed pattern, one that he liked the best. A repeating pattern, with the vibrating air his bass. Romeo closed his eyes and allowed himself the chance just to listen, thinking deeply and carefully about every motion.

Fritz yelled at him, supportively, even though Romeo may not appreciate being interrupted, "That's so cool!"

Meanwhile, his strength was fading to keep the light in the position, but he wasnt one for giving up and so he didn't let go, but the spotlight was unsteadily moving back and forth. He could hear the music very clearly though, even from where he was, it almost filled up the entire space, and he noticed some pebbles were shifting with the bass.

He didn't much understand that Romeo was trying to focus, and feel his music, but he obviously couldn't wait until Romeo was finished. "We need to go somewhere where there's other creatures and show off your skills! There needs to be a bit of life in this cave! We'll make it cooler!"

Romeo opened his violet eyes as Fritz called to him and although the vibrations of the air around him lessened with his distraction, he tried to keep it going. Unfortunately, it sort-of just faded out after a few moments. Romeo couldn't focus as well as he had done a moment ago. He kept moving his claws over the strings, albeit a little less satisfyingly, but it was still sounds and still sounded... good, just not as it had been before.

After a few moments, Romeo's claws slowed on the strings as he tried to bring his music to a nice, steady halt. He ignored Fritz's call for a few moments as he laid out the final notes, one at a time so that they trailed out, a longer and longer gap forming between each note. As he plucked the last one and removed his paw, it seemed to just carry on for a while, droning out into the atmosphere.

Romeo's rounded ears pricked. "Oh, well! O... of course!" Romeo thought about the idea more closely, having considered it somewhat earlier. The more he thought about it, the more grand, dramatic, and sheer exciting it felt. The way that Fritz put it was like a grand adventure. Bringing life to the caves? Showing off to other creatures? The raccoon dog certainly liked the sound of that, but then again who wouldn't? He enjoyed the sound of his own music, and with someone watching it felt all the more... Alive. Even if they did interrupt halfway through. "Where would we start? How'll we find creatures to show it to? Oh, d'ya think you could do that thing with the light again!?"

He remembered that thing with the light.

The warm glow all on his fur made it truly feel as though all eyes were on him. Radical ideas began to spin through his creative young mind.

"Maybe we could find a place where everyone can see me, where we can put a lantern there on it... oh, like on a rock, so people can look up at me, or a ledge... like this one! but somewhere less... windy."

Romeo looked down at Monoceros, but had to look back as a bit of vertigo came over him.

As much as the frail creature wanted to prove himself to Romeo, he couldn't hold the light for long, and so it was left dangling and swaying, making the area's lighting get all chaotic. Not bothering to fix what he had done, Fritz jumped down from the side, taking around a minute, humming the tune he had heard Romeo play moments before. He seemed thorougly entertained by Romeo's company and not really hiding it, as shown when he pretty much dart over to him. It was clear that he was well and truly star-struck, to the point that he appeared obsessive.

The marmoset listened airily to Romeo's inquiries, nodding every so often before squeaking, "D-don't worry, t-things will work out." He didn't really have any evidence that it would, but his glowing, youtfhul eyes suggested otherwise. "Ya' can r-rely on me Romeo!" His tone was somewhat similiar to a swoon, looking at Raccoon he was a god - or at least the next big thing... "The cave doesn't know what comin' for 'em! T-the days of silence are gone! You're tha' boss! I'll try an help ya' a-anyway ah can!"

Finally relaxing a little, he sat close to Romeo, tail wrapped around him, and expression pleased, appearing like a little lap dog ready to be used. Due the swinging lights, shadow and brightness took turns to unsteadily bathe him in their presence. As he sat there, he was oblivious to the fact that he was forgetting a minor thing he had to do which would put these ambitious plans into the backseat and would result in him having to leave rather abruptly, to his dismay.

(ooc: I will have to go an a hiatus for a few months because exams are looming, if we end this thread here maybe after a post or so, with Fritz leaving, promising he'd come back and help Romeo, but never returning? I've decided he'd go into a coma. But he eventually wake up and there will little reunion thing, with Fritz seeing how far Romeo has progressed? Sad though, because I love Romeo and Fritz's little thing~)

Romeo slowly set his noisemaker upon the stone floor beside him and watched as the marmoset scurried towards him. The way the other one looked at him was... odd, to say the least, but it made his chest swell with sheer pride, his heart beating strong beneath his gem. Even Fritz's voice, well, it seemed as though he were mimicking that pattern his noisemaker had created. Romeo had never hummed in such a way before! Now he thought about it, perhaps it'd work in sync with the instrument. Perhaps he could use it to truly bring out his voice...

He looked quizzically at Fritz for a moment as the marmoset's voice caught his attention again. He thought deeply for a second, before finally nodding. "If you say so. I ah... have no plans... myself, but if you think you can help, be my guest!" he gave a soft laugh. The thought of taking his music to the rest of the caves was certainly an appealing one. He hadn't been very far, yet. "Aha! You can pretty much guarantee that," he said. "It'll be whenever I feel like it, whenever an area needs to come alive! If ever it just doesn't feel... awake enough. I'll be the knight to the devil's darkness!" Or, essentially, whenever Romeo was bored. that was the more likely story.

He was no knight in shining armour, after all.

@Fritz -- OOC: Awwh, that's such a shame! ;^; No problems though, I totally understand, I hope you do well in your exams! <3

"Knight has a nice r-ring to it! Knight Romeo!" Fritz murmured to himself more than anything, his little claws clasped together in childish wonder and his whole body sort of huddled in his wild imagination.

"Ah just like t-to help creatures out. Ah've seen some gembounds jus' wanderin' o-on their own, and ah just don't get it! We're surely better if we work together! Ah... ah think we all n-need somethin' in common to bring us all together..."

His last words were a little rushed because, without even taking a breath from his prior paragraph, he was distracted from his line of thought and jerked forward, pouncing on a seemingly invisible lizard that had only just made itself noticeable, and instincitvely grabbing it within his claws. It took a few moments of it squirming in his grasp, for the small male to return to his senses and let it go, shaking a little with his primitiveness.

The rate at which he quickly forgot the whole predatory act may seem a little disarming, and the light once again returned to his eyes as if nothing happened.

..."I'm sure ya' won't have m-much problem findin' company with ya' music and... weird gem." Sometimes Fritz just didn't know when to keep his mouth shut but liked to think himself as a creature of probity.

By this point the gem lamp seemed to have steadied itself, returning the light intense of the place to normal after the disruption of the two little creatures - a disruption to the suffocating emptiness. There was obviously only so much they could control this place no matter how determined they were. Despite his love for creatures getting together, this stabilisation of his surroundings tugged at his nerves for something new.

He acted on the first thought that appeared in his mind.

"...Well if ya' such a knight, w-why don't we get closer to the twister. Everyone's so scared of it, but maybe we can s-sort that out, eh? Then maybe creatures will understand!"

(ooc: Ty ty! It's just, I would much rather come back when I don't have to juggle responsibilities around like mad, y'know? But hell yeah, lets get to 30 posts! ^-^ we're so close~ Maybe we get to the twister and they get seperated somehow? All le drama)

Romeo seemed rather pleased by that idea. He puffed out his chest, heart beating clearly. Indeed it did have a nice ring to it, although Romeo didn't quite like to fight. He was more a pacifist, although even then he just liked to... well, stay out of it, mostly. He largely just let people get on with it, though he didn't quite understand the motive behind endlessly looking for battle. Perhaps he'd understand as he grew older, but as it stood now, the raccoon dog stood on a blissfully ignorant little pedestal all of his own.

"Of course, of course! I feel the same," agreed Romeo. "I can't imagine having no other voices to listen to. When I'm on my own, I can't stand the silence and even then I use my own voice to fill it." The thought of silence made his stomach turn, and indeed it was true. If the thing to 'bring Gembounds together' just so happened to be Romeo's noise-maker, then that would be just perfect! He'd be surrounded by new voices 24/7, and he'd be able to listen to his noise maker every day as well...

Romeo was distracted from his blissful thoughts by the marmoset's voice speaking again. "Ah, this?" he asked, drumming his claws on the aforementioned gem and feeling it reverberate throughout his chest. "...Why not?"

Romeo's ears pricked at the marmoset's proposition and he considered, although perhaps it was a dilemma that he didn't quite know what the twister was. "Ah, of course! Lead the way," he said, boldly and stupidly, still a little intoxicated by the idea of so many voices.

@Fritz
((Yeah, that makes total sense! Don't worry about it! I'd be the same! :D That'd be really good! I think Rome needs a little more development and that could set it in motion perfectly aaahhh.))

Fritz was indescribably happy that this new friend of his had agreed to these terms. Many creatures before the raccoon dog had hushed his ideas of union, and pinned them to youthful naivity or hitting his head too hard on the way down from his hatching. It almost seemed too good to be true, but surely anything was possible? Romeo seemed to be a creature willing to do what was necessary and not be like those boring old gembounds who treated him like he was stupid.

Moving along in a very hurried, haphazardly fashion, aglined with his erratic thought patterns, he brought himself closer to the edge of the ledge, brushing past Romeo and just stopping right at the very verge, held within safety only by the grip of his claws on the acuminate rock. As he took in the distant surroundings once again, only slightly buffeted by the distant breeze caused by the twister, he listened to Romeo in the background. His ears constantly flickered as he strained to hear his new favourite gembound over the winds. He squeaked, quickly, sometimes maybe too quickly, "Alright then!"

"Ah haven't tried this before b-but hear me out, okay?... Ah was just thinkin' it'd take us longer t-to get through tha' ol' way with ya' sound thingie, so w-why don't we go directly down? It'd be fun! It'd be a very knight way to do it! Fear nothin', not even the heights of ah dwelling!... Creatures will s-surely pay attention to ya' then! I mean, what an entrance!"

He glanced back momentarily at Romeo, his first friend, his body quivering with anticipation and his facial features strained in a crazed sort of craving to do something important. "Pretend we're on our mission to unite the gembounds! There's no time to waste! T-the cave needs ya' help!" He screeched and pretty much dropped from where he was situated, clawing his way down the face of the ledge, giggling like the small inexperienced creature he was, thoughts untarnished and eyes bright and shining, "Think of it as trainin'!"
