Torrential downpours cause localized flooding and many upset cats. Along with these frequent rain, from gentle drizzles to heavy rainfall, there seems to be a flux of Magicka drawn in particular to water sources. Occasional jet streams of warm air make narrower tunnels harder to navigate. On occasion, the rain intensifies, becoming howling storms with sleet or large hail. However, the temperatures overall are a little warmer, with snow and ice in temperate caves somewhat receding.

Fisher was home once more. To walk among the mist was to be at one with himself once more. He had left the groves behind now, the tall trees giving way to points in the rock. The sound of the water echoed off the crags, making his ears itch.
He preferred the forest, but this was a spot he didn't know very well and the fisher had decided he needed to know his whole birth place. What he hadn't been expecting, however, was to find another lost soul in the fog once more. He scented the strange, particular smell of the animal before he spotted it, but once he saw the flash of gold, and the low, long body...
The mustelid had meet a snake before, and he didn't like them one bit. Fur standing on end, the noodle beast let out a long hiss. "Not food!" He snapped, tail lashing as he backed away into the fog. The last snake he had seen had tried to eat him, so this was a pretty reasonable reaction.

The thick, dark fur of the wiggle noodle started to spark dangerously in the thick fog. His eyes narrowed, watching the long, shadowy shape of the snake, just out of reach. He knew how quick they could be, and he definitely didn't trust them. "Not food! Don't even think of eating me!" He hissed, flexing his claws into the slick stone at his paws.

Midas was still sure as sunshine that he could find Friend again! He couldn't have gone off too far to find out the source of his mushroom problem! But sadly, the little serpent had explored every inch of this darn room for the monitor, but he was just gone! Poof! Never to be seen again! It left little Midas with a hole in his little heart, hollow from sadness. He'd decided to coil up into a miserable heap in the crags of Cetus, lurking in the darkness of the rocky terrain.
He heard the pitter of feet, and for a moment, Midas was superbly happy! It was Friend! Flicking his tongue out, he realized a moment too late that it certainly was not his Friend. It was just another noodle. Looking away mournfully, he about went back to the crags, but the noodle began to hiss and squeal like mad. Food? Why would he think he was food? Dangerous sounds enamated from the noodly beast, hissing even more words of not being food. "Why would I think you're food? Friends don't bite or eat friends." Yes... he could taste the Maji Walezi on him. That meant he was a friend. Now, if he didn't taste like Maji or waterfalls, he may have considered trying to eat him. Maybe.

The snake didn't get any closer, but it did flick its nasty, weird tongue at him. Fisher bristled more at the snake, bearing his teeth. If that awful noodle (how dare anything be more noodly then him!) got any closer he would surely give it a good What-For! But the snake didn't do that... It called him a friend.
To be honest, Fisher had no idea what to do. Normally things he acted aggressive towards just, well, acted aggressive right back. Here was this thing, calling him a friend, saying... That he wouldn't eat or even bite Fisher. This at least seemed to settle the mustelid for a moment, who's sparks discharged into the earth at his paws as he sniffed at the long, twisty beast.
"... Friend?" Was the only thing he could muster as a response, taking a careful step forward. "You're a good Snake?" He had only met one snake, but he knew the shape very distinctly. He had to wonder just what this snake was called, if it was called just Snake like the last one. Fisher was named Fisher and he was a fisher so it wouldn't be that weird to him-- sure, most of his friends had real names but shh.
The brown noodle slid on to the floor, paws tucked under his belly, and stretched his neck out towards the snake, laying down and trying to mimic the weirder noodle. Why didn't snakes have arms? How did they move so fast? Thinking to himself, the mustelid managed to come up with something sensible to say. "I'm Fisher... You really won't eat me? We're friends?" Curious as a cat, the tiny noodle tried to wiggle like he saw the snake doing. How could he be out noodled by a noodlier noodle! It infuriated him.

It didn't take him too long to figure out how to wiggle, though he still had to use his paws a little bit he managed to kick-wriggle his way over to the snake. Before he got too close, the young fisher simply rolled on to his side and blinked at the snake, tail twitching and paws tucked against his belly. He could almost touch the noodle if he stretched out a paw, but he wasn't about to try. He was still sure this thing was going to eat him if he wasn't careful.

Midas simply nodded happily and hissed, "Yeah! Noodlefriends!" He'd just met him, but the serpent was pretty sure that they could be fast noodlefriends and even faster best friends. It was the additional question that puzzled him. Tilting his little head, the snake queried, "There are bad snakes? Other snakes? I thought I was the only one." How could there be bad snakes? As far as Midas was concerned, there were good snakes like him, and that was it! Maybe he had... killed someone... but it was an accident. He never meant it. He was older now and knew better than that. He was above that!
"I'm Midas. Nice to meet'chu Feeshir." It was plainly obvious that fisher was pronounced as 'fish' with 'er' at the end, but he somehow messed the name up. Yet he was quick to fix his mistake, "Feesh... Fish... er... FISHER!" Perfect! But when he was done, the noodle was wiggling. So he thought he could wiggle better than him? Well, the noodle had another thing coming at him! Narrowing his eyes and grinning happily, the snake wiggled his little body all over. Whoever failed first was the loser!
