It'd been - nearly a whole cycle? Maybe it had been a whole cycle? - since Louie wrapped his chords around her being and locked them together by his will. She had yet to meet a single one of the other Merrymen, although he had assured that she'd be protected among them. So she wandered. Maybe they'd seen her, but she certainly hadn't seen them. She couldn't even see where she was now, which was high up. Penelope simply followed her drive to find somewhere protected from the winds, which happened to be this wonderfully warm place.

The full-grown Tapir was laying down, side against a wall. Her eyes weren't closed, but they were drooped dramatically, pupils pale as a moon in a night sky. Occasionally, her tail swished. Her ears swiveled from time to time, taking turns listening to different directions. She wasn't sure she'd notice much, though. This world was so dark that it brought on a depression in her heart, which was it's own shade of darkness. Her back wound was still healing, the flesh tender and skin marred. Dia certainly had done her damage, and was now the utter bane of Penelope's mind.
