Ares Blodyn meet me halfway to your heart

Ares was sitting in a field of juvenile plants by the river, watching his creations with dark, curious eyes. The Shiba Inu pup was proud of himself for spreading a little life throughout the cave ( however small the field he'd successfully brought to early stages of life ). The flowers atop his head were still in full bloom, still crowning the young Gembound a Prince of Flowers.
And Ares looked every bit the young prince - golden-beige coat, neat && clean, dark eyes, full of life && a charming, everlasting smile.

Standing in front of his field of plants, Ares concentrated on the earth under him && the feel of his gem against it.

Attempt: Spell - Emerge

Much to Ares' disappointment, no seed answered to the call he'd sent into the ground. No plants dug their way out of the earth, empowered by the magic the Gembound had forced into them.
Pouting, he sat down in front of his field && watched the other flowers, those that had already emerged && would soon grow into their blooming phases, displaying vibrant colors.

Kin-Kin It is resolve that determines the value of your life.

Since wandering away from Orion, Kin-Kin had seen many things, most of which were rocks. As a matter of fact, it didn't seem like she'd come very far at all, but she was happy to leave the broken city behind. At times, it'd felt like she couldn't leave. Whether she was lost or drawn back there by some kind of instinctive tether, she didn't know. But now she was out, and boy golly, if she'd ever been to Polaris before it was unlikely she'd have ever returned to Orion.

The sparkling stars instead were swirling rainbow auroras which, whilst not as subtle, were almost certainly more appealing, beautiful to look at and hard to look away from. Almost too absorbed in the bright lights above, Kin-Kin paused as she felt something cold brushing around her paws. When she looked down, she was greeted to another pleasant sight- little clusters of buds and new-bloomed flowers dotted the ground around her paws. A small examination of nearby ground revealed a little pup settled nearby, wearing a flower crown and looking proud.

Kin-Kin tipped her head to one side and couldn't help but feel amused by the way the little pup held himself, with an aura of pride not dissimilar to her own strut. She even bore her own decoration in the form of the cape hooked onto her gem. She felt that there was no need to hide from a little pup like this, so why not give him a little razzle dazzle to top it off?

Breathing in, Kin-Kin focused as calmly as she could, with her gaze still proudly watching the pup. Her golden fur, proud as it was, failed to light up, but she tried not to give any indication of disappointment or embarrassment.

Ares was only slowly becoming aware of himself, while his awareness of his surroundings was barely there at all yet. Thus it took him a lot of time to even notice that someone else had entered Polaris.

Only when Ares got back on his feet && cleaned his pelt did his eyes roam the room && land on the stranger. He immediately stopped grooming himself, openly starring at the other in curiosity. They looked a bit like him, Ares mused, from what he'd seen of his own face && body in the reflection of the Crystal River.

He would have greeted them verbally, but he didn't know how. He'd only recently grasped the concept of verbal language && while he understood it for the most part ( thanks to his Momma's insistence of talking to him whether he replied or not ) but found himself unable to form words.

It wasn't that he couldn't make noise. He could bark, he could laugh && cry like everyone else - but the spoken language of the Cave eluded him.

Thus, when he made eye contact with the other canine Gembound, Ares dug his paws into the ground && tried to conjure his magic powers again, wanting to create a flower for the stranger in a gesture that some - who did not know that Ares was a mute && young pup - might call sententious or forcefully expressive.

Attempt: Spell - Emerge

Although it was nothing like the success of Ares' first spell ever ( the result of it being the luxurious flowercrown atop his head ), the spell worked well enough to coax two juvenile plants out of their seeds && help them find their way out of the earth, into the light of the mysterious auroras overhead.

Nothing special, but it was Ares' unique way of saying hello && trying to convey that he posed no danger, that he only wanted to play && be friends.

Tipping her head to one side, Kin-Kin examined the little pup curiously, a small smile on her face. It seemed like they hadn't noticed her at first but then soon raised their head. They didn't seem scared or upset by her presence and Kin-Kin mused that it was quite unlike what she'd have been at that age...

A small chuckle escaped her lips.

Making a conscious effort to not appear too big or too threatening, Kin-Kin rose up onto her paws from where she'd been seated and approached, placing each paw carefully around the plants which seemed to serve as a bed for the child. "Hello there, little one," she purred, trying to sound warm, and kind. It wouldn't be... Savoury of her to take on her usual antics with someone like this. "Are you alone out here?"

She watched as they brought up a couple of tiny plants, their leaves still curled and new.

In response, Kin-Kin bowed her head, trying to make her pelt light up. It took a few seconds, but her pelt began to flicker in a gentle glow. Her golden fur flowing over trained muscles, she wondered if she were truly a sight to behold.

Ares lifted his head to gaze at the canine in front of him. The cape she wore was a deep blue && drew Ares' gaze to it.
He was pulled out of his daze when the other Gembound talked to him. Easy words && short sentences, making it easy for Ares to follow the meaning.

The Shiba Inu pup shook his head at the question, but didn't know how to truly answer the question without being able to tell the other that his Momma wasn't far.
So he shrugged nonchalantly, at a loss for how to convey his thoughts.

When the other began to glow, Ares' mouth fell open in awe. His eyes were wide in wonder && he jumped up && down excitedly. It was so interesting to see someone else using magic too! Especially when it was so different from his own!

The gem on the other canine's chest glowed when she used her magic, just like his own gem glowed when he used his. Excited, he lifted his right paw to reveal the pink stone replacing his pawpad, stretching to touch it against the other's gem.

The little one seemed satisfyingly impressed by her presence, and Kin-Kin couldn't help but smile. They shook their head in response to her question and in response Kin-Kin looked around, wondering where they were. A shrug. Could the puppy not speak? ...Ah. Kin-Kin thought that had to be it.

She watched as they jumped around excitedly, seemingly in response to the slight glow that had swept over her fur. She grinned, and her tail began to wag from side to side. Truth be told, this concept of plant magic was new to her, and she wondered what else this strange new element could do. She'd only just figured out that the light element, which she possessed, was capable of more than just glowing...

The soft glow was beginning to drain from her fur already.

As they stopped hopping, her tail wagged harder, and she smiled as he lifted a paw towards her gem. the two met with a soft clink.

"That's a pretty gem," she smiled. "And I love your little crown... I've never seen anything like that before."

She thought it a bit like her glowing. She loved to glow, felt it made her more beautiful. Maybe great minds think alike in this case.

"Listen to me."
