Mind's fire IN Main Area
This is not the way into my heart, into my head, into my brain, into none of the above. This is just my way of punishing the feelings deep inside of me, the spark of black that I seem to love.

The pup had started to run now, he had tripped up a few times when he had first started but like with walking he did not stop practising and so he had got better at it and now he could walk perfectly fine and almost run just as well. Of course he did this in private though, where no one could say he was weak for falling, he got back up and tried again though and didn't stop until he got it. That had to count for something, and it did. He was sure of it. The shadow pup enjoyed running so much more than walking, walking was too slow and stead, he preferred the speed and how he thought of nothing as his paws hit the stone ground only to be lifted up moments later. He loved the wind running it's hand through his fur when he went fast enough and how nothing could stop him once he had started.

It was amazing.

Shadow pup was still attempting to complete his map though, find every corner, every scrape, every little dent in the walls. He had let his legs take him wherever they wanted after he had hatched and left Bones, although still the other Canine's resident stalker, he found nothing wrong with it, he was doing no harm, unfortunately. He had to grow stronger, run, jump and fight all before he could cause trouble though, which was no fun.

A new feeling had started to wriggle it's way into his brain, down to his stone heart and all throughout his body, it was like electric, no fire, setting his veins alight and warming up his body. Yet there was no literal heat, he could just feel it. The power and it was his, but Bones said you couldn't control fire, it was destructive, a killer, untamed and wild. It was him. He wanted it, not caring what his prey Bones had said, he listened to no one! Zaire let the feeling rise in him, wanting to push it out through his mouth, breath it so it felt more real. Live in the fire.

Cast spell - Heatwave

His maw opened, pushing the fire up to let it free, although it did not come out as fire but air, hot air. It was burning hot, not able to scorch, but it worked and he could feel the heat rise in front of him, letting it linger when his exclamation of breathe stopped. He sucked in more air, taking in the oxygen that he had lost.

He had done it, he was able to do something new without anyone teaching him. It felt good.

Imperia
Not bad, but I bet I can do better

Imperia walked through the room known as Polaris, ignoring the lights and colors. They weren't here to admire, they were here to destroy. They liked it in Polaris, not for the colors, but for the energy. They felt as though they could do anything they set their mind to. Maybe their spells would come easier here? They contemplated trying it, but decided to explore a bit first. Perhaps they could impress someone with their spells.

Soon, they could feel a slight addition of heat, and realized someone was nearby. Perhaps another fellow fire element gembound. After some more exploring, they came across a small black pup who looked as if he had just finished doing a spell. They gave a grin, and came out fully in view. Head raised, eyes boring right into the other, as if challenging him. And perhaps they were.

Almost immediately, their paws lit up with heat. It was a lot more than they were used to, and they nearly let out a gasp of surprise and pain before managing to smother it. They weren't going to show any signs of weakness. They had done their spell, it had worked very well, and that was that. They held their gaze on the other, their grin widening. Their eyes definitely held a challenge, challenging them to do something else.

Zaire Alesius

He had been alone, he wanted to be alone. No one to disturb him or distract him from whatever he wanted to do. The shadow pup needed no one to watch over his every move, he did not need to kept safe, and he definitely did not need any company. Which is why the scent of someone new made his perfected growl come in handy, it hurt his throat a little from his spell, he was still getting around the fact that he could use magic, but it would sink in soon and all will be well. His pure black body had turned to face the intruder, set his fire gaze on the thing only to notice that their eyes were already locked on Zaire, a large grin on their face.

The shadow pup had caught the way his paws had lit on fire and then the other animal attempted to smother it out, much to his dismay the fire left, hoping that it had at least hurt the creature for coming into this place whilst Zaire had taken claim to it. They showed no sign of weakness however, just like Zaire showed no signs of emotion as he glared at the other creature, gazing right back at them, although his held nothing, just a dead fire dancing in the light. The others grin was strange, Zaire wanted to say unnatural but how did he know what the natural looked like?

The challenge the other had set was something he would not say no to, not now, not ever. Although he was probably more experienced in well everything, Zaire had only been around for a few days, but that wouldn't stop the pup from saying yes to a challenge set for him. He didn't know what the other was asking though, he knew what he saw, his eyes were telling him to do something, but what? Zaire would not ask, not now, he didn't even want to speak. He showed no sign of backing down though, he just stood there with his fire eyes locked on the other, showing no sign of fear or weakness, or any emotion.

Imperia
Your turn

Imperia held his gaze for a bit longer, before growing bored. Was he ever going to do anything? Imperia was not a patient one, and wanted something to happen. If he wasn't going to do anything, then they would! "Wow. You really know how to keep someone on their toes," they snorted, sarcasm-hopefully-evident in their voice. Did someone this young even know what sarcasm was? Admittedly, they weren't much older, but they still knew quite a bit of things!

"Guess I'll have to do something again. Alright, fine. I got some stuff I can do." They had recently gotten a new spell, however how they got it and how they even knew they got it was unknown to the caracal. They just knew they had it, and that's all that mattered. It was possible the wolf had already done this spell, but maybe they'd be able to do it as well as the other one. Or maybe they'd fail. Hopefully it wouldn't fail, just for the sake of their dignity.

Imperia took a deep breath, and felt heat starting to pool in their lungs. Their jaws opened and exhaled, a blast of very hot heat coming out. It lasted for as long as they could handle it, trying to prolong it as much as possible until they ran out of air. It was very hot, and they didn't care if the other got burned as a result. When they were finished, their grin returned, and they continued to stare at the other, as if to say that it was his turn. What all he could do, they didn't know, but surely there was something.

"Listen to me."

Zaire Alesius

This new creature kept his gaze, well that and he didn't want to seem weak by looking away. The voice leaving their lips drew his attention, he wouldn't look away but he would pay more attention now. "My speciality" He copied their sarcasm, saying what first popped into his young mind. He knew that the way they were speaking was something called sarcasm, a lot of thing he knew through the voice in his mind, most of the time it was helpful.

He would not speak when words left their mouth next, there was no need, and it was not something to have a reply to. As he waited though he did look over the creature, they were weird looking with long pointy ears and a similar yet totally different body build. They were actually quite cool with the way they looked, not that the shadow pup would ever voice suck opinions.

This creature tried the same spell that Zaire himself tried, although it worked much better with them than it had him. He could feel the heat rise so much more and reach a further distance, making sure he was careful enough to move out of it's length so not to burn himself. That was the only spell he had and it seemed they had two, and it looked as if it would be impossible to do any better. "Let me try 'gain." He would speak in his gruff emotionless voice before attempting the same spell he had tried for the first time only moments prior.

Zaire had taken in a much larger breathe than what he had done before, learning from his earlier mistakes, and attempted to push the fire up again through his rough and almost burnt throat. Maybe it was the fact that his mind was stuck on trying to do better than the other weird looking creature or maybe that he had just tried the spell too soon after attempting it the first time. No matter what one it was no hot air left his ebony lips, he would not look disappointed though, that would show weakness. He would not do that.

"Name?" Another spoken grunt, not in disappointment but just boredom and with no showing emotions he could not speak any other way. It wasn't just the place he was trying to map out but everyone in it.

Imperia
Names are pointless

Imperia's mouth cracked to the side in a slight smile at the wolf pup's sarcastic response. So someone this age did know what sarcasm was. Good. They didn't want to have to explain it to the smaller one. Or for him to get confused. Or both. They let out a soft cough, feeling a burning tickle in their throat from the spell they had just used.

They looked at the other as he said he was going to try again. They watched with partial interest, but honestly didn't care. They had done their spells better than ever before, so there's no way this pup could do better. They waited for a bit and noticed that nothing had happened. A light chuckle, devoid of emotion. They had failed. Imperia knew plenty well of the embarrassment that came with failing a spell, so they said nothing.

They blinked as he asked for their name. "Imperia, not that it particularly matters." The only time it ever mattered was if it would be the last name they heard. Imperia didn't really feel all too comfortable attacking anyone who was just a cycle old, and by the looks of this pup, he was still just that. 1 cycle old. Not that the pup wanted to fight, by the looks of him.

They didn't bother asking for his name, since why would it matter? As soon as he proved to be boring or useless, they'd leave, likely never to meet again. What was the point in names? Anyone Imperia met once, they likely wouldn't meet again.

"Listen to me."
