"Speech" | 'Thoughts' | @Remedy
How could it have gone so wrong in so short of time. She had dealt with her shattered emotions over her twin and her father. Had spent time away from everyone so that she may deal with them in solitude. It had done it's job and Cure had eventually set paw back into the realm of others. She had gone to Eridanus first, to better clear her thoughts. Yet, in truth that had not been the real reason Cure had returned to the cavern made up of mosses and plenty other foliage. She had searched for
him. The one creature Cure had grown so attached to in such short time. If it could be called a short time. She had met him after her abduction while she was still a cub. Had watched him hatch from the garnet chrysalis only feet away from Arkrael's den where she had been kept safely and tended to by the she-wolf and her little lemur friend.
As it turned out, her searching had led to only one thing. A garnet gem that had been nearly buried beneath a few fern bushes. It had shattered the remaining pieces of her heart as she knew deep down just who that gem belong to. Cure had no more emotions to give. Her body numb with the agony that tore her apart endlessly. Her twin...her father...and now what had been essentially the love of her life. God forbid if anything happened to her mother. Cure wasn't sure she would be able to handle it. The emptiness in her heart consumed her, left her feeling lost and insecure in a world that she had first thought to be such a grand, wondrous place.
Yet here she was, perched upon the very thrown she had been born just a few feet behind. Her dull gaze stared down below to observe the ever silent ruble, but more specifically the area that held so many memories for her. Dark memories that, even to this day, caused nightmares in her sleep. The stag that had caused her life to turn upside down in a matter of hours. Memories continued to consume her, filtering through her minds eye and leaving her unaware of her surroundings.
It wasn't until movement drew her attention did Cure even move a single muscle. The hybrid shifted, corded muscles flexing beneath soft ashen fur. The newly acquired necklace that hung loosely around her neck swayed with her movement and the garnet gem that was attached to it seemed to dance around from the movement.
Cure...?
The voice seemed to whisper upon her ears. Drawing her sapphire eyes towards a direction she had previously had no interest. They were nearly dull and lifeless in their color, a coldness grasping on tightly that did not seem phased by the call. For a long moment Cure stared silently, watching as a creature came forth from the path that led down into the structures that made up most of Orion. It seemed like a dream. The creature walking towards her. Those familiar green and red eyes staring right back at her. Those adoring feathers that lined those precious wings...
Cure wondered for the longest moment how cruel her mind intended to be. Displaying her beloved twin sister before her as if she were truly there. Her heart ached. Twisting and constricting within her chest the longer she stared at the approaching figure. It was nothing but a figment of her imagination. Remedy was gone. Her twin sister was gone just like her dear father and her beloved Xerxes. Had it been days already gone by Cure was sure that her eyes would have filled with tears just by seeing the image her mind had displayed before her. Not today though. These days it seemed Cure was far too numb to even muster the desire to feed herself.
Cure.
Again that voice reached her now erected ears. Soft and pleading as if trying to draw her from the darkness she had fallen so far into. Brows furrowed suddenly, eyes squinting at the image of her sister. Nostril's flared, taking in the scents and then suddenly it hit her. That sweet, familiar scent that belonged to her twin. HEr heart suddenly fluttered. Beating heavily now against her chest as sapphire eyes drew wide as the realization was slowly, but surely sinking in.
"R-Remedy?" She stuttered heavily, her voice cracked and broken as she now stared in shock.
"REMedY?!?" She repeated her twins name as if in disbelief at what she was seeing. The hybrid was on her paws in a split second, but was frozen in her stance as she stared.
She felt the burning in her eyes before she realized that tears had already consumed her eyes, falling freely as she stared at her twin. She couldn't believe it. She was really there. Remedy was truly standing before her. Cycles had gone by and Cure had given in to the fact that her twin had probably died somewhere just like her father had. Lost to the cruel clutched of the caves.
"REMEDY!!" She finally cried out, sobbing loudly as she lunged from her perch. She didn't allow remedy to utter a word before she was upon the feathered feline.
Cure's bulk smothered over Remedy. Paws grasping desperately at the creature as Cure quite literally buried her face into Remedy's fur and feathers alike and just sobbed. She couldn't say anything else but her twins name. A name she repeated several times as she cried hysterically against her twin. Her entire body shook in her sobs and it seemed as if emotions washed over her like a typhoon. She just couldn't believe it. Her dear, precious twin was alive. Remedy was safe. Remmy was here and in one piece. And with that knowledge Cure broke. How could she even dare to give up on her twin....
