Kallista walked in the place she felt most comfortable at. She had grown used to the slippery floor, the crashing of the waterfall in the background. She even welcomed these things. Being anywhere else always felt off to her. This place, however, was...her home. She hatched here and lived here for most of her life. This was where she had made her only friend.

She shook her head to clear her thoughts. She wasn't going to think about that right now. She was here to see if anyone else was here. If Todd was here, then alright. If not, then so be it. It didn't matter who was here, just that someone was here. Kallista wanted to talk to someone. Even if she only insulted them, it was better than nothing.

Imperia Do you like it here?

Imperia had been traveling around and now found themselves in a new room. It was wet, much to the distaste of the caracal. They could hear a waterfall in the distance, which they found rather distracting and annoying. How could anyone like this place? They continued walking until a cat caught their attention. They stalked closer and saw her looking around. Before too long, they realized she was staring at them, her eyes narrowed.

Imperia got up from their crouched position and lifted their head, as if challenging her. "Do you like this place? It's beyond me how anyone could grow used to such a terrible place as this! It's wet and loud!" they scowled.

"Listen to me."

Kallista was just looking around when something caught her eye. No, someone. There was a gembound nearby. She looked right at them. They were smaller, younger. Their pelt also seemed to have a few scratches, and their paws looked burnt. Her eyes narrowed and she stared right back at them as they stared at her, challenging her. As they began to speak, Kallista felt her fur begin to bristle at their words. Were they insulting the place she called home?

Well. If they thought they were going to be able to get away with that, then they had another thing coming.

"Sure, it may be wet, but if you live here long enough, one gets used to it. Welcomes it, even. But I don't suppose you'd know anything about that. You look too young to be able to understand the importance of being where you hatched. You're not even full grown! Just wait until you get older, then you'll understand," she chuckled, wondering what the other's reaction would be to her words.

Imperia Fight me!

Imperia growled at the other's words. "I can understand it plenty! I'm not too young!" They bristled. "Look, I don't care who you are or any of that stuff, just...Fight me! Right here and now!" They jumped up, and puffed up their fur, trying to appear more threatening. It may not work, considering the other was also a cat, but it was worth something, right? They also decided to try one of their spells, hoping it would help. Thankfully, it worked, although it did nothing to help their already burnt paws.

"Listen to me."

Kallista flicked her tail in annoyance and then blinked. "You want me to...fight you? Are you crazy? I'm older than you!" she pointed out. "But hey, whatever, since you clearly won't let me go without a fight-are...your paws burning?" She looked at the other's paws, blinking. "Huh. That's...weird. Whatever. That's your spell type, huh? Fire. Todd would've been interested in that." She paused. "Actually, he probably wouldn't." She shook her head. She was about to fight someone, she couldn't let herself get distracted! Maybe if she fought someone, she'd know how to protect Todd...

Imperia Yess, yess!!

"Who cares if you're older? I'll still kick your butt!" he sneered. As she continued talking, Imperia flicked his tiny tail. "Who is Todd? Whatever, it doesn't matter! When I'm through with you, this 'Todd' won't be able to recognize you!" By this point, the heat coming from his paws was starting to hurt, but he ignored it. He had to appear tough, and it'd hurt the other more if his paws were hot!He bunched his muscles up and then leapt toward the other, claws outstretched, paws incredibly hot, and a glint in his eyes.

Kallista flicked an ear. "We'll see about that. And Todd is...Todd is a friend. I doubt you have any." At that, the caracal leaped. Her eyes widened and she froze for a moment before shaking her head. She didn't want to get hurt, and was only doing this to entertain the other. So she decided she should dodge. She leaped out of the way at the last second and watched as the other crashed into the ground where she was just moments ago.

Imperia growled as Kallista dodged, making him miss. He quickly scrambled up. He scowled at her, eyes narrowed. He leaped again, determined to get a mark on this pesky cat. He was determined to hurt her as much as he possibly could. As he started to leap, he tripped over the slippery floor and landed on his face.

Kallista watched Imperia as he quickly got up. She prepared herself to dodge again, but stopped as the caracal slipped on the floor and fell on his face. She couldn't stop herself from laughing. "Another thing about being comfortable in this place, I'm used to the slippery floor." She decided she may as well take this opportunity and attack him.

Imperia got up and glared at Kallista. He prepared himself for an attack. Kallista got up to him, and seemed about to attack him but missed entirely. He snorted. "Well, you can't even fight." He then took a deep breath, hoping to use one of his spells on her. He opened his mouth and a wave of heat washed over the cat.
