QUESTS/EVENTS
Torrential downpours cause localized flooding and many upset cats. Along with these frequent rain, from gentle drizzles to heavy rainfall, there seems to be a flux of Magicka drawn in particular to water sources. Occasional jet streams of warm air make narrower tunnels harder to navigate. On occasion, the rain intensifies, becoming howling storms with sleet or large hail. However, the temperatures overall are a little warmer, with snow and ice in temperate caves somewhat receding.

Along one of the cavern's many cliff faces, a sudden breach in the line of rock was the first clue that something had gone awry. In the clean line of the rock one section had sheared off in a thick, angular piece before plummeting down several feet. The wall below was pocketed here and there by violent divots. And there at the bottom, nestled among broken pieces of rock, was a chrysalis. A growing layer of dust coated the facets of the massive alexandrite, some surely from the debris of the initial fall, but most having been layered over the course of weeks. No movement betrayed the creature inside and no prints marred the surface. The stone looked more akin to a gravestone than a place of rebirth.
The sudden split of stone crumbling beneath cloven hooves. A gasp. Dust stinging airways. Weightlessness.
With an almost audible thump, Boar was suddenly extremely aware of her own heartbeat. Pulled from disjointed flickers of memories, she was yanked unceremoniously back into consciousness. She hesitated, taking stock of her situation. For an instant it felt as though she had never existed before this exact moment in time. But then, as she settled into awareness, memories -- solid, real memories -- edged their way into her mind. She lurched, stretching into the barriers of her chrysalis. Another flex, and more barred freedom of movement. The muscles along her neck tensed. Again she pressed, flattening violently against any wall she felt. But her muscles were too-long unused, her body too awkward from the growing and mending it had done.
And so Boar rested.
For how long she remained still, she couldn't tell. That familiar dark thoughtlessness crept across her mind like a veil. It may have been months or only minutes. At last she felt an energy grip her from within. She was ready. Her haunches flexed, drawing in her hooves to her belly before lashing out in swift action. They met the inside of her chamber with a resounding crack. The wall stood no chance. Her hooves smashed right through, sending shards of alexandrite raining across the dust-littered floor. From there the rest of the chrysalis fell as fissures erupted from every corner of the opening she'd made. They streaked like lightning across the surface of the stone until it finally all fell away. Boar was left standing, panting, and free.

God of the Stars

The vessel was weak and that was certainly no good. A god could not be weak, weakness commanded no respect. Who would worship someone who could not defend themselves or demand awe with every step they took? No one would. Mosi did not know why he and his sister had been thrown into these weak bodies and forced down from the heavens that they decorated but in any case he would make the most of it. Before long these lackadaisical mortals would know the names Zelena and Mosi Nyota. Their names would be etched across the walls for all generations to see so that everyone would know who painted the night sky. But first... He had to whip this body into shape.
That was the reason he found himself in the cliffs climbing up rock slabs on the walls and leaping from them to land easily on a thin pinpoint of stone. Even though this body was weak he found that it had its advantages. He wondered what he would be able to do when he reached full size? Only time would tell and until then he would just have to push himself.
The male then turned for an especially daring leap. He was hanging from the side of the cliff face and in an instant turned to leap onto a boulder that sat five and a half feet away. Could he do it?
The answer was yes, despite the body being weak he managed to land with all fours atop the stone. Triumphantly he lifted his head and poked out his chest, inflating it. Even though he felt like a god on the inside he looked like little more than an excited puppy outside of it, albeit a very strange-looking puppy. Huffing and panting he turned to continue on with his training but found that he saw something strange with his eyes. He could sense a sort of heat in the distance from inside of a stone. Fearlessly, he hopped off of the boulder and decided to investigate. Any new thing he had to go question and see, perhaps it could be a new follower or perhaps it could be an enemy...
Or something tasty...
The thing which came from the stone was huge but looked decidedly like a cave deer. However, he sensed the intelligence within it and fought the urge to eat it... for now. He could not stop his jowels from salivating, however, and the green slime oozed from his lips as he stared bravely up at the leggy creature. "Who are thou that stalks my realm?" He questioned in his puppy voice. Ugh, stupid body and its limitations. It was hard to sound awe-inspiring when your voice was that of a kid's.
