Torrential downpours cause localized flooding and many upset cats. Along with these frequent rain, from gentle drizzles to heavy rainfall, there seems to be a flux of Magicka drawn in particular to water sources. Occasional jet streams of warm air make narrower tunnels harder to navigate. On occasion, the rain intensifies, becoming howling storms with sleet or large hail. However, the temperatures overall are a little warmer, with snow and ice in temperate caves somewhat receding.
She was humming another song as she playfully jumped from one small isle to another, sometimes twirling and dancing delicately on her long legs as she did so. Ever since she found this room, she loved the islands and the warm waters that lapped at her tiny hooves and the waterfalls that ran along most of the walls. The ceiling up above seemed to never end in its expanse, but like the star room, it too had sparkles that winked so high above.
The warmth of this room made her fur curl in funny ways like her brother's messy hair, and she understood him a lot better with how difficult it was to tame it. But once she got over fussing over it and trying to keep it smooth, she just laughed and shook it off, telling herself that only princesses spent so much time over something so silly. She wasn't a princess, she was a hero! Heroes had better things to do, like find the highest point they could climb and jump down the waterfall into the perfectly clear, warm pools! Laughter filled her mouth like a bubbly aftertaste as she swam back to the water's surface.
With a bright smile that showed her tiny little fangs and her hair a complete mess, she was having the time of her life in this new place.
Today he was taking a trip away from Eridanus to rest his body, it was a tad bit sore after the workout he'd gotten the other day but nothing he couldn't handle. It actually felt good to test himself after being locked away in the chrysalis for who knew how long. Now he lay in the warm waters of Fornax, body completely submerged with only the top of his head showing like some sort of furred crocodile. His limbs were pulled to his body as he rested mostly beneath the waves and even his eyes began to close as he went off into a doze.
Some time later the sound of humming gently roused him as he heard clopping hooves mingling into it. One eye opened as he peered up at a creature hopping from isle to isle and performing little dancing moves to accompany her little ditty. Cute. Not wanting to interrupt but finding her too fascinating to ignore, he slowly began to swim and follow her along.
The little creature certainly seemed brave as she climbed up a waterfall and jumped off into the waters not too far away. He kept an eye on her lest she need any help but so far so good. The creature even climbed out of the water and it was at this time that he decided to reveal himself.
Baratheon's head lifted marginally out of the water to reveal more of his head while his full body remained submerged beneath the surface. His mouth was curled up into a grin and while he didn't say anything, it was obvious that he was amused at the tiny gal's antics.
She kept humming under her breath, letting her head bob to the beat in her head and her footsteps on the islands tap a counterbeat. At some parts she even hit the water with her hooves to pretend to be the clash of cymbals, and she lifted her pretty, melodic voice to carry over the water to the music in her head. For the most part it was wordless, but it carried the feeling of sweet, euphoric affection she felt beating inside her rib cage for the dream she lived in.
And why shouldn't she be happy? The days were full of neverending splendor and mystery behind every bend, she was always well fed with fresh grasses and leaves, and she had friends that came when she needed them. Epsilon was always there for her, if an ever silent companion, but she didn't mind. The world was kind, and she loved it.
And just when she turned her head along with the high crescendo, it turned into an earnest gasp for breath when she saw someone under the water's edge, with a smile and bright pink eyes.
The gasp turned into bubbly and lyrical laughter and she hurried over to the stranger happily, splashing water along the way. "Hello!" She called, performing a harried and joyful curtsy with a bright, immodest smile. "Did you like my singing? Are you a dragon, by chance?" She grinned, her head tilting bashfully. "I love meeting dragons! They're always so kind and nice! Why, have you met Sir Khori? He's the sweetest (though the only other one) I've met, and he has these lovely pink and white wings!"
She laughed again and said, "I apologize, I'm getting ahead of myself. I'm Wisteria! It's a pleasure to meet you."
Ah, the music sounded so lovely. So wonderful. The gal had a beautiful voice, one that was to be cherished. As she delved into the song it took him back to days past, days when he remembered lying with his big sister. He'd not thought of her in a while, not only because of his encapsulation but because of life. How he wished he could go back before life was so complicated... He was as close as he'd ever been now.
The song came to an end when the creature turned around to behold his gigantic size. For an instant he was afraid she would be frightened and run away but no, the deer creature simply laughed and ran straight up to him. This gesture made him infinitely happy and he lowered his head, getting a closer look to see her. To her polite curtsy the dragon dipped his head, smile not lessening in the slightest. In response to her questions he gave a nod to affirm that he did like her singing and "yes" he was a dragon.
When she mentioned "Khori" the dragon's eyes seemed to light up. Khoridai. One of his sons. He was still alive? Lovely pink and white wings? In response he raised his wings as if to say "like these?". His head tilted to the side then and he seemed to be deliberating something... Then, as if he made a decision said, "Baratheon." The first word he'd spoken in cycles. "Khori is my son." Even though he hadn't seen him in ages this Wisteria made him happy with her beautiful voice and news of his kin.
