Fira was actually surprised at how quickly she managed to snag the next fish. As soon as she had turned back to the river, she’d spotted the same type of silver fish as she’d caught for Cure and immediately snapped it up in her jaws, killing it instantly. As she was biting down on it, she was also listening to her acquaintance’s description of a redfang. She was sure to file that information in her brain for later so that she knew to avoid any fish that fit the bill. Then she backed up so her paws were out of the water and went to sit beside Cure, who was now asking her about Destiny.

What could she tell the other leopard without feeling like she was sharing the deep, dark secrets about her best friend’s life? She couldn’t tell Cure that Destiny was blind, or that her gem was causing her great pain, or that it would kill her one day… “Destiny…” she began slowly, trying to think of something positive to say. “Destiny is a very… positive Gembound. She always sees the best in others, even when they can’t see it in themselves. I’ve never met a more optimistic person in my life.” There. Hopefully that would fill Cure’s curiosity. Under normal circumstances, Fira wasn’t a secretive Gembound; but in this particular case she just didn’t feel comfortable talking about Destiny when the platypus wasn’t here…

"Speech" | 'Thoughts' | @Fira

A smile curled across Cure's features as Fira began to explain who Destiny was. With a few more bites Cure was soon to be done with her fish and she looked down at the carcass that now only had it's tail and head left. She wasn't very fond of eating either of those portions of the fish...so she suppose she would let the redfangs that were sure to be lurking the waters have the rest. She moved her paw, pushing the rest of the fish and with a small splash the remaining pieces of her meal went tumbling into the water to be disposed of by the redfangs.

Finally she turned her attention on to Fira once again. "She sounds like a very lovely person. I hope to meet her some day," She hummed thoughtfully before she stifled a small yawn. From the standpoint she was in this Destiny was surely someone to definitely make time to meet. Cure always did enjoy meeting new gembounds. Especially when they were kind ones. "So, do you know anyone else living within Polaris? I don't wanna go exploring later and find myself intruding on someone else who may not be as welcoming as you have been," There was a playful note in her voice, but there was also seriousness in her eyes. Her experience with Hasira would never leave her thoughts and she would probably be as cautious as she ever was when dealing with gembounds she did not know. At least...now she was older...bigger. She could defend herself should she have need of it now, but she also didn't want to have things come to that either.
