QUESTS/EVENTS
Torrential downpours cause localized flooding and many upset cats. Along with these frequent rain, from gentle drizzles to heavy rainfall, there seems to be a flux of Magicka drawn in particular to water sources. Occasional jet streams of warm air make narrower tunnels harder to navigate. On occasion, the rain intensifies, becoming howling storms with sleet or large hail. However, the temperatures overall are a little warmer, with snow and ice in temperate caves somewhat receding.
Oh stop your crying it'll be alright, Just take my hand..hold it tight
Quietly Arkrael sat in front of the river. Staring at her own reflection as if it were that of another. The changes she had undergone were strange. She had lost most of her long fur, receiving mostly short velvety like fur. Except for the tufts of fur around her hackles and down her spine. Her tail had grown longer, shaped more like a whip these days, it certainly wasn't what it used to be. And then there were the sharp spines that were hidden on the back of her rump as well as her elbows, all hidden by the tufts of fur that remained. However, it was her eyes she found the strangest. Each an obsidian black with thin circles of green that outline where her iris' used to be.
A loud screech quickly pulled her attention and her gaze lifted up to see the dragonbat high above chasing after something. A grin tugged at her features as she watched Pheo chase his meal. That poor dragonbat. She'd raised him since he was only a baby and now he had been put through more drama than she could imagine. Thankfully it was all over and things were going smoothly. Now, all Arkrael had to do was hold a meeting for her group. The gathered members that Cure had managed to find needed to be brought together and given their proper rolls.
With a yawn Arkrael rose to her paws and soon gave a large stretch. She could make a few more laps around Polaris before she had to return to Eridanus. So with that in mind, Arkrael headed down along the River heading away from the generator where Golems still to this day bumbled around aimlessly.
There was one time when this water here strangely rushed at highly fast speeds, that it almost washed Rinaotei away when she jumped into it out of very foolish impulse, something that was very unusual about her that she actually still questions about as to why she even did that even to this day. This time the wonderful crystal clear water of Polaris is moving at a fairly slow and steady speed, completely lacking the strength it would take to sweep away even this mere slightly underweight wolf who is right now in the river herself to take a break from things and is thus making no efforts at all to move her limbs to swim, just merely twitching them a little to keep herself afloat. Even though she is in the river and is only swimming a little to avert drowning, Rina is more just lazily floating around in the water with her eyes closed in amidst of the relaxation she is in right now, and is allowing the stream to take her and do most of the work for her while she stays put in relaxing. Others who may know this reserved wolf just a little bit may be particularly surprised to her like this, as she doesn't think any of them are aware of how secretly laid back she truly is. After all Rina is well known as a Gembound who does possess an endless amount of thirst for adventure and thus is always on the move to explore the caves.
The screech from the dragonbat that is in the vicinity makes Rina break out of her relaxation which is shown on how her ears are completely perked up now, ringing a little from the screech, her eyes are open again and she lifts her head upwards to see if she can find the source of the screech. The said screech makes Rina finally put the effort in swimming herself, just in case she needed to evacuate right away, although she wasn't in panic at all. Looking around, she sees the dragonbat that upon closer look doesn't seem to be aware of Rina's presence at all, while that is alright and certainly shows she probably doesn't even need to leave as a pre-caution, the screeching is still hurting her ears a little. Rina couldn't complain though, it was up to her to leave or not since she has the freedom to choose, after all why wouldn't she have that freedom? And perhaps she has been in the water long enough to replenish, Rina probably should get back to whatever she was originally doing.
With that Rina became more active and begun to move her limbs again for swimming and kicked off the river's current, launching herself towards the bank of the river which she eventually manage to breach with her head and front paws, using the latter part of her body to climb out the water and go back on dry land. Quickly Rina shakes off all the water that's on her fur. She now starts to walk on, following the direction where the river is going that's now beside her.
During this she detects someone else is very close by, who is also heading along to where the river is going and they're just a little bit besides Rina, who is another black wolf. What is with this? No matter where I go I keep on seeing other wolves. My type is more common than I thought... She mulled quietly to herself, whilst quipping too at how ridiculous, it's getting now, this one even has a similar colour scheme to Rina, she doubts they're related though, since she has always known that she emerged technically alone, she has no biological family and she really wasn't the type who did belong in wolf packs anyway, she doesn't even need an abacus to know that. Still, although her previous encounters with other wolves and not just wolves every Gembound in general, she has been fairly nice towards them or so Rina thinks she has. But in all those cases, though Rina wasn't the one who really begun the conversation herself, even though she can be nice to others, she's still an introverted lone wolf who would much rather spend her time in solitary, and is really too aloof and quiet to start a conversation herself. So she'll just tread along quietly, but if this other wolf detects Rina and with how close by Rina is to this one, and Rina really isn't trying to be stealthy in all honesty, really wishes to begin a conversation themselves with Rina she'll be more than happy to speak for a bit.

It seemed that her solitude would not last today. The sound of something splashing around before the ultimate shake of one's fur to rid it of water was quick to draw the attention of her ears. Arkrael herself did not look over, in fact her gaze was more so focused on what Pheo was doing. When Pheo finally decided to return to her the dragonbat swooped down quickly, fluttering his wings before he landed easily on the hellhound's back and soon walked his way up towards her neck as to which he plopped down lazily. His nose twitched as his voice reached her mind,
'There's someone over there ya know...another wolf yes?'
A quick laugh escaped the mutated creature and Arkrael finally drew her gaze across the river where the other wolf had began her own trek along the rushing water. It didn't seem like this wolf was even bothering to give her the light of day. Regardless, Arkrael wasn't opposed to greeting said wolf. "Greetings...little wolf, enjoying your walk?" Her voice carried out strongly, to be sure this she-wolf would hear her. It was in her right to ignore Arkrael or to answer the bigger wolf. Depending on how the she-wolf would respond would decide on where Arkrael was going next.
She keeps a steady pace in her movements while following this river, mostly from her innate curiosity of the dragonbat that is flying around here and no acrophobia from the flying seeing how things look of it whatsoever. Also partially since she thinks it'll be a little rude to just run off when she's unsure if the other wolf wants to start a conversation. Her eyes follow as she witnesses this dragonbat safely make a landing on this other wolf's back. Huh so it's a companion to the other wolf? Unless this other wolf is danger to Rina themselves then she doesn't think she'll have to worry about the fellow now. Still they do seem to be a fairly close pair, the dragonbat one trusting this other wolf enough to relax when on their back or well neck... That's nice she thought with honesty.
Eventually she sees that the other wolf eyes are now on Rina, well time to determine now what shall turn out from this here. She hears the other wolf's voice which sounds female just like Rina, very clearly and from the sounds of it is just trying to make friendly conversation. Still there's something that stood out... Little? Well in comparison to this wolf she probably does look small for their kind, and being slightly underweight doesn't help her much, oh well on that, her weight is... Well she doesn't believe it is, fatally unhealthy so let's just speak up now. She makes eye contact with the other wolf whilst turning herself a bit and speaks up. "Afternoon, and yes it has been fairly delightful." She calmly hummed out but it wasn't too quiet either, to ensure the other wolf can hear Rina too with the honesty in her words coming out fairly easily as she had no reason to lie about the question she was given.
