Xerxes decided to leave Polaris finally and maybe go back home to Eridanus and see if Cure was there. Probably not, but it was getting late and should be getting back. He wasn't sure if this was the tunnel he used to enter Polaris, but whatever, he'd make it back eventually. All these tunnels and caves were connected, right? Xerxes swallowed, hoping so, as he entered the tunnel, walking towards the other end and whatever room laid in waiting in the other side.

He coughed then, stopping in his tracks to clear his throat of whatever caused him to cough so abruptly.

He just couldn't get whatever it was out! He kept coughing and hacking for many minutes, making his throat raw the longer he had to do it. It racked his body and he finally had to sit, before finally, something came up. What he assumed to be a hairball was actually a ball of fire! Wait, what? Fire? That was new, but interesting! Was this a new spell?

He watched the little fireball smoke as it put itself out on the floor a few feet before him. Ears perked, the massive lion looked around wondering if anyone else had seen that, since he wasn't entirely sure if he had done that. There was no one, but that didn't convince him that it wasn't him. He wondered if he could do it again, actually.

Taking a deep breath, the lion tried again, though it didn't work this time! Puzzled, he decided to try again. Maybe it took time to recharge? Pausing for a few moments just to breathe and perhaps rebuild the storage, he finally took another deep breath. Squeezing his eyes shut and letting out another hacking noise, a smaller ball of fire flew out, though landed closer to him than the last had.

Close enough! So he could control it, but not that well yet. No matter! He'd get better, especially now that he could practice spitting fireballs at everyone!
