Tuck's screaming startled the python into almost regurgitating the plant, put he managed to hold it down. Confused and a little concerned, he loomed over the writhing marmoset and saw a bleeding wound on his back where the roots should be. It took a moment for Septiezal to realize that he snapped a little too much of the Tamusen. He thought he tasted some blood. Guilt nipped at Septiezal's scales. He didn't mean to hurt him, especially since he was helping him. He just hoped Tuck would not be too angry with him.
"I'm so sorry! I did not intend this!." Septiezal fretted. He flicked his tongue out to inspect the damage he brought upon poor Tukluk. "Maybe I can fix it? Is there anything I can do to help?"
"Speech."

Tuck was mostly ignoring the worried words of Septiezal, too blinded by surprise and pain to care. In the back of his mind, he was aware that he needed to get to work healing his own wound, but he had no way to reach it himself! Ugh! Almost without a thought from him, more Tamusen began to grow out of the back of his left hand and he chewed the bitter leaves immediately. It took about a minute for the affect to kick in, and slowly the pain dulled to a throbbing ache instead of a sharp stabbing feeling. Still curled on the ground, he slowly twisted his head around until he saw the snake.
“I need your help,” he said. “I’m gonna grow a branch from the Iceberry Bush and I’ll chew the leaves into a pulp. I need you to somehow apply it to my back. Use your snout to scoop it up, I don’t care. And don’t tell me it’s gross! You’re the one who did this, so help me!”

Septiezal felt a defensive hiss rise in his throat at Tuluk for chucking the blame at him but immediately choked it down. This was kind of his fault, he should have been gentler, or tried to grab the leaves with his tail. He felt stupid, but how could he have known that this would happen. He knew next to nothing about plant magic. Septiezal felt like he needed to cauterize the bleeding wound, he wondered how much blood this tiny monkey could lose before passing out, but he had yet to master the spell's heat. Tuck could very well end up like one of charred bones he had been practicing on not to long ago if he got it wrong.
"Don't worry!" he found himself snapping, still bristled from Tuck's words. "It's all my fault, I know, and I'll help you, so hurry up and grow that Iceberry or whatever so I can put on your back."
"Speech."

Tuck had had every intention of growing a small branch of the Iceberry Bush, but what ended up happening was even better, even though he had no idea what he’d just done. Instead of growing a branch with leaves for him to chew on so that Septiezal could put the mush onto his back, he felt a surge of healing Magic wash over the wound, and even the dull pain went away for the most part afterwards. Still unsure of what had just happened, he slowly moved around, curing and uncurling himself to test whatever strain that might put on his back.
To his surprise, it felt like the wound had miraculously healed itself. He didn’t know it, but now there was little more than a tiny pink scar where the tear in his skin had been, and it was hidden beneath his fur. The bleeding had stopped, too. “Hey, could you look at the wound?” he asked the snake. “I don’t know what I just did, but I think I fixed it… Somehow.”

The snake watched in amazement as Tuck's wound healed before his very eyes. How did he do that? What kind of magic did he use? Septiezal flicked his tongue to taste for any blood as he could not believe his own sight. Sure enough, it the wound was closed. It was like nothing had happened save for scar, but even the python had a hard time detecting it under the little monkey's fur.
Tuck's question snapped him out of his state of awe. "Y-yeah." Septiezal finally said. "It looks pretty healed to me."
The serpent slid his head around to meet the marmoset's front, his body uncoiling like a moving landscape. He slid his forked tongue out from his blacken snout at Tukluk as his eyes sparkled with curiosity. "What kind of spell was that?." he asked him. "Is it something only plant magic can do? "
"Speech."

The snake’s reaction to Tuck’s question, and to whatever Magic he’d just done, almost worried him. The stuttered response made him think maybe something was wrong, but then he heard, ’It looks pretty healed to me.’ He breathed a sigh of relief as Septiezal made his way into Tuck’s field of view, facing him properly again. He wanted to know what kind of Magic it had been that had healed the marmoset. Tuck stuck out his lip in thought, trying to remember the feel of the spell. “I… I don’t think it was Plant Magic… It didn’t feel… green enough. What exactly happened? What did it look like when the Spell went off? Maybe if you describe it to me I can… figure out how to tell you how to do it. Maybe?”

"Hmmm." The serpent started off. He looked away as he tried to recall how Tuck's wound healed. "Well.. it just closed up." Septiezal turned back to the monkey, he's eyes still glowing with bewilderment. "Like, the healing was rapidly accelerated ." he shook his head as he peered down at his tail. "I need to learn how to do that, it could come in handy."
It was rather impressive, how the wound just healed itself. For what it did in just a few seconds, took a week for the gashes Septiezal received from the rat to heal. If it wasn't elemental, maybe he could do it too. Perhaps it would fix this ugly burn on his snout.
"I'm going to try it." He told Tuck. Without waiting for a response, Septiezal puffed himself up and focused on the magicka in his onyx.
Think healing thoughts, maybe that's how you do it, heal.. heal burn....
He thought he felt his stone heat up but whatever spell it was trying to conjure up quickly fizzled out. To the python's disappointment, nothing happened. He frowned at Tuck and curled his tail, shaking his head once more.

When the snake said he was going to try and do the healing spell, Tuck got up and turned to face him so that he could watch. He was curious to see what a healing spell looked like, since obviously he hadn’t been able to see himself healing his back. Unfortunately, it was not to be, as Septiezal didn’t seem to do anything for many moments. Then he shook his head at the marmoset, and Tuck shrugged sympathetically. “Maybe you just need more practice. My only advice is to practice your Magic every chance you get. That’s the only way I got any better, and I still fail or mess up sometimes. Magic doesn’t seem to be mastered by anyone. It’s like a person. Sometimes it’s nice to you and sometimes it doesn’t care about you or gets angry at you. I dunno why.”
Tuck sat down on the dry ground. “Wanna try again?”

The way Tuck explained it made sense. Magic was a very fickle thing. He could agree with the monkey on that, especially since it chose to scorch him instead of the rat he worked so hard to trap in his jaws. Septiezal wondered if he tried again that the magic would heal his snout. He bet it could.
"I think I will." He said to Tukluk, sounding a little more confident.
Septiezal concentrated again on his magicka, feeling his stone heat up yet again with power. Now that he had it in his grasp, perhaps he could ask it to heal the burns it created.
Hmm.. last time I thought of healing it didn't work. Healing is defensive.. right?.. Maybe if I think about defense...
He felt the onyx grow hotter and hotter, until it spread all over his body. I did not feel like he was casting the spell he was practicing a while ago, instead of his snout or tail recieveing pain, it was his entire body. By Deer Dad! It felt like he was on fire! Horror spread across Septiezal's face as he watch the charring blackness creep over his body, shriveling his scales into a terrible, scorched, spiky hide that smelled absolutely dreadful. He shrieked, more so in astonishment than pain, and twisted his body frantically, ramming to the bones that surrounded him. In his terror, he completely forgot about the marmoset's presence.
THIS IS NOT WHAT I WANTED AT ALL!!

Ohhhh Gods, this was not going well for poor Septiezal, whose attempt at a healing spell had backfired tremendously! Tuck scrunched his nose at the acrid scent of burning flesh and then his eyes widened in horror when he realized that Septiezal was the one being burned! And now he was freaking out! Tuck realized he needed to do something fast before this situation became worse! But what? What plant could he grow that would help? Obviously Iceberry Bush but that wouldn’t help unless the snake calmed down!
— Oh! Quickly, while Sept was still writhing around making loud noises, the marmoset rooted around in his bag and found a small seed that smelled sweet when he put it to his nose. He pushed a pile of bones out of the way and poked the seed into the wet ground of Cetus and then said in his mind, Grow, now! We got a hurt snake here!
His Magic listened to him, thankfully, and a juvenile Dormire Flower grew out of the ground. Its petals were small, as the Emerge Spell could only grow juvenile plants, but it would do. “HEY!” he shouted loudly, turning to the snake. “SHUT UP AND COME SMELL THIS FLOWER.” He paused and then said in a quieter voice, “And if you can aim your mouth properly, then eat it. You gotta calm down so I can treat your burns!”
