MAGICKA LEVEL 100%
RESTORED TO 100%

He walked quietly, listening attentively to what the wolf had to say. It was quite the revelation, to know he would never meet another like himself. The differences between creatures seemed to run deeper than just the way they looked, what they ate or the magic they were gifted with. Rather it seemed to be an innate thing. The way each individual thought and acted, that was what made them different. Yet if everyone was different how would they get on? How would they live together if they didn't get along because they were so different? Was that perhaps why everyone was alone? The thought sat heavy on his heart and the change in his manner was immediate. He was quiet after the wolf had finished speaking, lost within the depths of his mind.

"If we are all different, no matter what we are then we a doomed to an eternity alone" he said quietly, he did not want to live all by himself only meeting others by chance. He wanted to live with others. He wanted to experience and enjoy their presence. He wanted to learn from them and build relationships... although... what if he had to live with Nox? Surely she would kill him at some point in time, making him explode or something like that... He shook his head. This was not something he wanted to think about now.

"Train me in magic" he said simply, changing the subject.

How odd for one to be so young, and to be thinking of such things. her brow furrowed, and she tilted her head at them. "'Course not," she responded, considering. "Heck, if that were true, I'd be the loneliest wolf in the caves! But thing is, just 'cause you're different, doesn't mean you're alone. How boring would it be if everyone was the same? There'd be no talking, 'cause everyone would already know what you were gonna say. We wouldn't be meeting here right now, Kid. 'Cause if everyone was like you, I wouldn't exist! All the friends in the world out there just wouldn't be there. Y'know?"

The side of her lip twinged into a smirk. "And most importantly, I wouldn't be able to teach you magic!" Right, back to her forte! The wolf's tail wagged, swaying elegantly from side to side.
"Starting with the basics. What kinda magic can you do? For starters, take what you know and try to make it into something new. That's how I got to be so great. Now, whatever I wanna do with magic, I can do! I just kinda make a root back to whatever makes my magic happen. Ya feel me?"

Kin-Kin thought an example ought to bring out her greatness.

"My first spell was to create light, for starters. And where there's light..."

She sucked in her breath, and her glow disappeared, light fading into shadow all around as she seemed to absorb her former brightness. "There's always shadow too, yes?"

The wolfs words made sense and the calmed Soren to an extent, the hint of a smile once again returning to his face. Yes, if everyone was the same the world would be far too dull. As much as Nox had upset him the other day she still held a special place in her heart and he supposed he should go apologise to her at some point yet... he still needed to somehow find a way to forgive her and stop being... well afraid of her. The wolf recaught his attention at the mention of magic and the hint of a smile became a full on grin as he watched with wonder as the wolf made herself darken and seemingly disappear in a cloud of shadow. His ears and tail flicked in excitement as he hopped a little bit.

"I make plants grow" he said enthusiastically, closing his eyes for a moment to try and remember what he had done with the first spell he had cast. Now that the excitement filled him he remembered he had felt extreme happiness and joy. Something akin to what he felt now. He allowed the emotion to fill himself up as he had done before, rather than directly calling on the magic. When the emotion had filled him he opened his eyes and stared at his legs, looking for the green electricity that he was sure the wolf would not see. Nox had not seen it. He grinned when he saw it and lifting one of his forelegs he pointed at a empty dry portion of ground, hoping the magic would do something.

Of course, as inexperienced as he was the magic didn't quite go where he wanted. Rather shooting off into a nearby pond. Making the plant life there grow and flourish. As he did so he made a mental note of the feeling of the electricity. He followed the feeling all the way to his core, where it seemed to originate from. That he needed to remember, that was where he would go when he called it forth again.

MAGICKA LEVEL 100%

Kin-Kin's ears twitched. Their enthusiasm for magic was almost as great as her own, in a slightly different way. "Oh? I've never seen anyone with that magic skill before..." she praised, wagging her tail as she watched them do their thing. "Can't say I'm surprised, though... If you master it, you can do anything with magic." The gilded she-wolf motioned down to the crystal sword bound to her leg. Kin-Kin stopped to consider if magic over plants would benefit her in any way. Flowers were beautiful, to be sure, but not particularly dangerous. She imagined the embellishments she could use to make herself look even more grand than she was already.

"Well?" she urged, raising an eyebrow as she watched them point a hoof towards some bare earth. Not very spectacular... she thought, as nothing happened. "Did you feel anything?"

MAGICKA LEVEL 100%
RESTORED TO 100%

The wolf hadn't seen what he had done, he was glad he had been able to cast his magic but rather annoyed that it had not gone where he had wanted to go. His ears flicked as his eyes remained glued to the flourishing pond that still seemed to be growing. He glanced at Kin-Kin as she spoke and wordlessly he motioned to the overgrown pond. The plant-life now creeping out of the water onto the ground. As the plants reached dry-land their growth seemed to stop and with a hesitant step he walked towards the pond, staring down at the abundance of greenery.

"It seems I may have caught you lunch" he said simply, motioning to a wriggling fish caught within the plant-life. There was nowhere for the little fish to go, after all the water was filled to the brim with plants... in fact he was sure because of the amount of plants the pond had grown a bit bigger, with the water being displaced and all.

He supposed he should have been displeased with the idea of her eating the fish yet... strangely he was not. The fish had never spoken to him, they had never given him anything except something beautiful to look at. At least now, as the little squirming creature lay in a nest of plants gasping for air, it would provide something useful to someone. He dipped his head low, tearing a piece of the seaweed off; eating it quickly. Seaweed was by far not his favourite food, yet it was all that was here.

"You said there was a place with more food?" he asked, deep in thought as he ate, "How do I get there?" He was starting to develop an idea, far from adamantine, yet still an idea. He would travel to this place with food and there he would feast and live peacefully.

Kin-Kin followed their gaze towards the pond before beginning to pad towards it, their words sparking curiosity in her mind. As she got there, Kin-Kin examined the phenomena that was the weeds that had forced their way out of the shallow water. Slowly, she turned back to the kid. "Impressive! I underestimated you, Kid," she praised, which she knew was quite an honour coming from her. A smirk patterned her cheeks and pristine white fangs were shown. "Don't mind if I do..." the golden wolf at first lowered her head, at first picking amongst the weeds in order to swallow several small fish... before realizing that there was a far more exciting way to do this...

The wolf glanced at the deer with a spark in her eyes, and pushed her head into her blade. She drew it out of its sheathe, the point flashing as she swung it wide, solely to show off. And then without a second thought, she plunged it into the largest fish that still flapped. Skewered on the blade, she yanked it out of the tangle of pondweed.

She had an idea then, and her eyes lit up.

With a great sweep of her head, the wolf threw the fish into the air, its twitching form spinning and whirling high above her. Quickly, she took her attention from the fish and shoved her blade into the crystalline coils around her forelimb. By the time she looked back it was falling, so she threw herself into the air with jaws stretched wide. Closer, closer... closer...

She got it!

She tasted the fish's salty blood in her jaws and was left to plummet back onto the ground. Her eyes widened as she realized Oh shit, I still need to land... but the thought lasted only a moment before she was skidding to a halt on slippery, algae-covered rocks... After a few excruciating seconds, she had stopped, and was still standing. Hesitantly, she shook the tenseness from her fur in a shower of little lights, and swallowed the fish in a single gulp.

Puffing out her chest, she walked back towards the fawn, her entire body swaying with pride. She gave them a bright wink.

"Oh... um... sure, I'll take you there!"
