Come on out of your dreams

Restlessness always stood as something fickle and unneeded. Though with a young body and a young mind, it did not excuse the feeling from entering his form. It was time to bring about the joy in exploration; a time to see another sector this mass had to offer. Thoughts had bear a specific direction as of now versus the need in wandering to find said direction. Eyes had seen it previously and made certain to mark that very opening he saw before darkness returned. One would likely stand skeptical in venturing through a tunnel foreign and unknowing of its intentions; however, self knew it could not listen to the roaring waterfall for long. It was soothing to a certain extent, but was becoming a filler for this area. Stretching out his limbs and letting out a yawn, the pup was sure form was ready to check out tunnel. There was not a lot of excitement in the air when comparing to the last tunnel he entered, however, there was a lot of interest to counteract it. Sauntering over to the opening of Tunnel M, curled tail wagged as eyes were kind enough to allow him to scan this passage truly. With his sight's assurance, Kyorai crawled deeper into the tunnel.

First to come along in exploring was the absence of light. He can see yet, eyes were practically forced back into their blank state. Huffing, eyes squinted in trying to see in perhaps distinguishing some sort of shapes within. He stumbled around for a bit and tripping once while trying to navigate through. Nose could of been of use, but it had nothing to work off on since there was no certainty in what to look for. That and he rather not indulge in this scent that filled the air. Laying on the ground in having met it unexpectedly, gaze strayed around, slowly gaining some clearness within this darkness. Body quickly propped itself up in realizing how things were becoming easier to view. Rocks came into view and the sheen of the ground from some of the water that was here. Humming, legs continued onward while staying sure to avoid anything in which seemed a little too dangerous.---

Come on out of your dreams

---While waltzing around and admiring some parts of the tunnel, paw slipped under him with a sudden cold sensation crossing his form. It was a nice yet disgusting feeling. Nice from having sat in heat for a while, but disgusting as it came sudden. Pulling back, he examined the spot he almost fell on, tilting head at the shining piece that was there. However, it was not water as paw had him realize. It was a sheet of ice on the verge of melting. Now, mind wondered where he was going if ice was part of its exterior. Knowing of another precaution, Kyorai went on with little worry facing him.

Hm, what was this now? His sense of direction seemed to shift all of sudden, furrowing his brows as the earth apparently went downward. Where was this passage leading him exactly? Not that there was anything wrong with slopes and the like that were beginning to turn up; though he feared that self could become trapped if they proved too steep to climb up for his tiny legs. With that in mind, sight tried to find the best paths that would make this adventure a little easier. Of course, going down was not a challenge at all—it was the matter in going up. Having reached the end of the decline, now he had to reach the top of an incline. Taking in a deep breath, he continued in going up the slope, feeling quite proud that he overcame one that was larger than the first slope he reached. Body was a bit stronger since then so, it should not have been a surprise. Shaking out his coat, the temperature seem to gradually drop the farther he got.---

Come on out of your dreams

---A melody sounded from him as he trotted to whatever may come next within this tunnel. Limbs ached slightly from the climbing he had to do in order to make it to this strange spot. And, what a peculiar spot it was. Halting for the moment, eyes scanned over the narrowing passage. Its walls were not the smoothest seeing that rocks and ice protruded from them. Coming closer to examine one that was low enough for him to look over, it did not seem impossible for him to maneuver through them. Though it also did not mean there would not be any faults.

Crawling under one of the jutted rocks, he carefully made his way through the narrow passage—lucky in having caught a few drops and holes while trotting through. Pulling himself under one more obstacle, breathing became steady again once he made it pass everything. Luck was certainly on his side...

It was quite the fun going through here and avoiding the many dangers and obstacles it had, though it was definitely time to try and figure out where he was. Slowly looking about, he noticed another opening to something. Had he finally made it to a certain room? Curiously wandering over to the side entrance, he entered with tiny steps, huffing once he saw it was a second path to traverse on. However, this one was a complete incline. The pup stared up and beyond with thoughts gathering the possibilities of this tunnel. It seemed almost endless in terms of where it ended, but curiosity was enough to push him forth.---

Come on out of your dreams

---After some needed rest, form was more than ready to follow this incline to its end. Stretching down into a bow, he was willing to challenge himself to see how far self could go before tiring out. With this being a slope, it would certainly do his body good with some nice excerise. Putting on a face that told of his intentions, mind counted down to gear him up. Three... two... one! Kicking off with his fullest force, Kyorai cantered onward with tongue flying out; strides graceful and precise. He went on for about majority of the mile before his steam ran out.

Pants were hard as lungs worked to get needed element throughout his body. Even though he had not made it to the end yet, the pup could definitely see that some progress was made. Kyorai stopped and flopped down to allow his body to readjust itself. How much longer did he have before finding something new? Hopefully, it would not be much longer; rolling onto his back and stretching forelimbs. You know, throughout this entire adventure, not a soul was stumbled upon. It gave a sense of loneliness, making the pup sigh. Though perhaps he was close to someone! Getting back onto belly, tail lightly wagged with the bit of hope he had. Without any consideration, he let out a few barks, sprawling legs out as he waited and rested. Let him not be truly alone, there had to be someone. Closing his eyes, he hummed while ears were on the alert.

Time had a way of changing things. Wiping clean the slate of the mind and letting something begin anew. It was what happened for the second time to the great dragon. He'd laid down in the darkest corners of the cave to sleep and he slept for a cycle. A chrysalis had formed around him as he lay and allowed himself to rest. However, the white beast was not to sleep forever and within the past week he erupted from the pink and white tomb. His body felt rejuvenated as did his mind but those that he knew were nowhere around. No matter... He would find familiar faces again eventually, whether they were old or new it didn't matter. New faces always became old and old faces had a way of becoming new again, it was the endless cycle of things.

After he emerged from the confines of his chrysalis he lurked in the shadows as he caught prey, deer and other creatures of the caves that wandered too close. His strength slowly built back up and he was feeling like his old self once more. It was this day that he decided to venture out and explore a bit more, the prey was becoming privy to his hiding spot and it was time to relocate, perhaps back to his old home or perhaps someplace new. He didn't know yet, he would just wander where his paws took him.

The crunch of snow and ice beneath his huge feet was audible all around the tunnel as he approached, pink eyes scanned the area ahead of him while his large ears were lifted and listening for the sounds of food. The area he found himself in was constricting, tiny, and he had to keep his wings folded tight against his body. In a couple of places he found his sides rubbing against the walls of the tunnel but it always seemed to widen back out before it became to difficult to navigate. So, onwards the dragon went until he heard the sound of a pup-like bark on the breeze.

His head tilted to the side, one ear lifting higher as he attempted to gauge how far away this creature was. He knew it was not food, no, this gem was of the speaking variety and he would be damned if he repeated the same mistakes of his childhood. He had better control of himself now, if his last go round had taught him anything.

After listening for a moment the white creature shifted his tail, making a dragging noise along the ice and snow before he opened his mouth and let out an answering bellow. There. Would the pup come closer? Or would it flee in terror? The dragon would wait and see what this new gembound was made out of.

Come on out of your dreams

The pup had found himself on his side, toying with a small rock that held a weird shape. At this time with no real being to take his attention, a lot of it was put on the finer details of all these rocks scattered about. Their shape, color, texture, size. Some were rather unique; enough for the small pup to push them into their own special pile. Boredom brought a few questionable tasks, but at least it was admiring something that was often ignored. Stopping the tune he softly sung, Kyorai let the silence of the tunnel fill out once more. Liquid dripping and a few cracks of ice still came along as the breakers to this silence—having him wonder that perhaps he was in a dead zone.

Before confirming he was the only creature in which hung around this place, a startling sound jerked him up onto belly again, eyes seeking with ears dishing out the exact location of it. "What?" He said with a tilted head, lying still for the moment in awaiting for something else to come along with it. Though nothing seemed to follow it, having the male get up on all fours and slowly walk forward to where the noise came from. It was a short tracking, however, as he halted from continuing onward. Such noise sounded rather big and to come with that was a big creature or maybe just someone with impressive lungs. That and it somewhat reminded him of the mysterious voices from another tunnel, making him skeptical.

Debating whether to drop it or answer it, he hopped over his pile of many rocks, trying to hide behind it. Then, he let out a howl, responding back to the bellow. Kyorai would not keep to his hiding spot for long, switching over to a boulder near the wall to offer better coverage.

The pup was practically calling the figure forth, not wanting to be the one to approach them.

The dragon waited with pricked ears and expectant eyes. He'd known gems before who'd walked fearlessly up to him and even some who attempted to play with him. However, he'd also seen his fair share who found his size intimidating and with those 'bounds he'd had to show that he meant no harm. Would it be the same now? His answer came when around the bend he heard the howling of a young pup, a call that meant he was to approach and not the other way around. The dragon's ears twitched with amusement as he decided to go forward and see who exactly was there.

His heavy pawsteps could be heard in the tunnel once more as he continued forward with rosen-hued eyes scanning the ground ahead. When he came to the place he thought he heard the howl from the dragon stopped to peer around but at first could see nothing. Massive head lowered toward the ground as he gave a few deep sniffs to try and scent out where the pup would be. The smell lead his head over to a large rock and after giving a few noisy inhales the dragon lifted his head up with a questioning rumble.

He tried to peek around the rock to get a view of who exactly was hiding from him but stopped before he saw. Perhaps patience would be a virtue here. So, the dragon laid down on his belly with his legs tucked beneath him in a nonverbal attempt to show that he came in peace. His head was raised high while his eyes were locked onto the rock, waiting, to see if the creature would come out.

Come on out of your dreams

There seemed to be nothing. Not a sign for a minute, having the pup guess that someone might have been passing by. However, such was not the case as large steps did not decrease in volume but increased. Large ears folded back while etching his way deeper into the small opening between this rock and the wall it lain close to. Howling was slowly becoming a bad decision on his part as mind had faulted in its knowing to this stranger’s size. He knew they were likely large but to the point it echoed throughout the tunnel made him huff. Kyorai tried to peek out from his cover, slightly seeing the culprit behind the heavy steps. All eyes could perceive was pure white fur and a swaying tail. Pulling head back fully, expression gave a look of confusion when the steps stopped. Aw, had they already gone by? He sat still to see whether anything else would come along unexpectedly, senses telling him that something was surely there.

After testing some bits of the atmosphere, he got back on his paws and kept his head low but ears far up. There was no way he would remain behind this scaled rock for an unknown amount of time. Letting out a snort, the pup would proceed in slowly walking out from his hiding spot. Much of himself kept close to the rock, rubbing his body against it while gradually looking out. Sight saw a tail they had seen not a second ago which told that it was the same creature. Crawling out more and more, he fell onto his belly once he was fully in front of them. Multi-hued eyes stared the large creature down, scanning about them once sight gave its clear on whether to run for it or stay put.

As he examined the stranger every second, entirety seemed to relax as forelegs pulled him slightly out. With comfort forming along the line, caution became curiosity, lifting his paw and patting the ground to make a break through this quietness. "Oi! Whatcha be? I’ve never seen someone like you before!" He exclaimed and inquired, tilting his head while lightly wagging curly tail. They had a few weird features he could not understand. Horns, wings, fur in specific spots… what exactly were they? The pup was tempted to bop one of their limbs, but he would not do such a thing yet.

The dragon would watch, eyes locked onto the spot that he knew the pup would appear from. The white beast waited patiently for the pup to come out. Perhaps the young boy was pusillanimous in his regards to the great white beast which in all honesty the dragon could not blame him for. If he were as tiny as a pup again then maybe he would be as cautious as this one was but he had long since discarded his need for caution in most situations. It came with the package of being so large.

Finally though, the tiny creature came out. Baratheon studied the canine and noted the blue eyes and the ashen-hued coat he possessed. At first the creature seemed to be wary but slowly that wariness morphed into something a bit more curious, an emotion that he was not unused to in others (especially children) that saw him for the first time. It was not often that others were able to see a dragon in the flesh, as far as he knew there had only been three in the recent cycles. Him, Raheerah, and his son Khoridai but his son had long since disappeared and if the pup had seen Raheerah then it was likely that he would have fled in terror by now.

Regardless, the young pup seemed intent on approaching him and filling the void with his accented words. The dragon let out a deep, rumbling laugh at the inquiry before saying, "I am a dragon, young one. We are fairly rare in these caves." As far as he knew he was the only living one at this time. "My name is Baratheon. What's yours?" He lowered his head with it turned to one side so he could fix the pup with one huge eye while he examined him up close, well, if the pup allowed the great beast's head to get close enough that is.

Come on out of your dreams

Ears fell when the large creature began to laugh. He was not certain if self should return with a chuckle of his own but before mind could place a decision, the stranger spoke out. One of his ears twitched along at their every word, noting pitch and tone with each one. Ooh, a dragon? The pup did not have much knowing for "dragons", but thoughts would start to assume that they would and should look like the one before him. Nodding little head, it soon tilted when they told of their kinds' rarity. He hummed, not sure whether to take that as the truth or not. It was hard to really tell against anything when youthful form has hardly seen everything yet. But, he would stay quiet on the matter, passing it off. Mind was surely becoming doubtful by the day which stood good and bad in a way.

Attention dragged out with thoughts but was quickly pulled back when he took in the dragon's name. A little laugh came from him, finding the name to be slightly funny for some unknown reason. He let the tickle he got from it disappear before stating his. "Kyorai," the pup crooned. His name was hinted with a different accent which made tongue wiggle about in trying to obtain a feel to it; however, he would not let it cast him out fully as mind suddenly remembered something from his first encounter. "Do you have fire magic?" He inquired with quite the determined look, getting up onto all fours and gazing into the one eye he could see of theirs. Memory went back to the serpent he first encountered, still slightly hung up from not being able to learn the dangerous element. Not... not that he would use it for dangerous reasons. Curly tail wagged from his want to know, scanning for wherever the gem of this creature rested.
