"Speech" Thoughts
So much time had already gone by since the day she had awakened in Eridanus. Or at least it felt that way. Since the day she had first met her dear hatchmate Tamelyn. Since she had faced her very first golem. Then there were her adventures after that terrifying ordeal. It all seemed to make time fly by quickly and now here she was. Contemplating god only knew what as she sat perched safely away from lumbering golems. These golems were much larger than the first one she had encountered, but she had also been here when these particular golems had awoken.

She was growing. She could feel it with the passing times. She wasn't as small as she had been when she first tumbled out of her Chrysalis, but she really wasn't THAT much bigger either. It left her curious to know just how big she had gotten. She had met several gembounds. All each their own shapes and sizes. Every last one of them were unique in their own way and Arkrael was happy to meet them. Even that annoying Krakarak bird who could have nearly blinded her. The thought of that encounter made Arkrael lift her paw up and gently rub at her black eye. It was much better now, but it still hurt to think about. That thing had been swollen for days after she was hit with that rock. Funny though, now that she and Krakarak had some how fashioned a strange and unique friendship. They didn't hate each other. No, they quite enjoyed the others company. They were always picking on the other. Teasing and taunting to see who would get their fur, or feathers, ruffled up first. It was fun and she was definitely glad that bird no longer threw rocks at her. She couldn't promise to keep her temper in check the next time Krakarak decided to injure her.

Vaguely her thoughts flitted of to the idea of Tamelyn. Ever so curious as to what her deer friend was off exploring and doing. She had definitely made way more friends than Arkrael had done. Not that Arkrael really tried to make any friends. She had just been so caught up in trying to explore all she could. She had met acquaintances, but she had never put the effort into making friends outside of Tamelyn. Perhaps she ought to fix that part. She was sure it would be a lot more fun to go exploring with even more friends to tag along. A smile crossed over her features as her tail lightly tapped against the ground at her side. It wasn't that she was lonely. It just seemed like there would be more fun in having friends. Tamelyn would still be her most favorite of all of course. No one would be able to step into her hooves and take her place as Arkrael's best friend and Hatchmate.

Heterochromia eyes watched with mild interest even as her mind wandered through her thoughts. The golem's were still unaware of her presence, which was probably a very good thing, as they simply did what golem's did. This place was beautiful. Not her favorite place as that was reserved for her home back in Eridanus, but it was still overly stunning. And now that these golem's ran free it was probably the most dangerous of places to be. Perhaps when she was older and much more stronger she would be able to change that. She wanted all the areas of Origin to be accessible and without dangers such as golems. She knew there would always be danger around every corner, but at least maybe the Golem's may dwindle just enough to allow access to all areas of Polaris once more.

Her smile faded however and her ears seemed to match the expression, pressing back against her skull. Just thinking about what these things could do sent her heart racing. If you used magic, they came running at you. Well...as much as a golem could run anyways. She was sure bigger golems could move much faster than the smaller one. At least that's what she assumed. Why they were drawn to the user casting magic was still beyond Arkrael. Perhaps that is why she now sat where she was observing them. She wanted to learn about them. No, she needed to learn about them. Just in case a day ever occurred where someone was faced with one and needed to be helped. More importantly...- if Tamelyn ever was put into such a situation.

Arkrael needed to know how to fend off the things, or the very least drive them away so they would not inflict harm upon her beloved friend or anyone else for that matter. She would have to figure it out and in doing that, she would have to learn everything there was to know about these rock creatures. How she would learn about them she was unsure, but she had to start somewhere. And that start would be where she was now, at a safe distance, but close enough to watch for now.

VAZI HASIRA
"shattered innocence"

Vazi had spent far too much time away from Polaris. Wynry would be frantic to know where he was and admittedly he was too. He was sure that Polaris would be perfectly fine to leave the young lamb in but they'd only awoken right when the dam was opened up so Vazi hadn't seen a golem. If he had and knew that they frequented Polaris perhaps he would have been far more wary about leaving Wynry alone, he also probably would have put more of a rush into heading back to the place.

He found out soon enough when he arrived how much it had changed. Huge rocky monsters were congregating in the water doing... whatever it was that golems liked to do. The young fawn could feel fear rising in his body and the gem on his chest changed colors accordingly. Where was Wynry? Had one of those things gotten him? Oh! He should never have left the defenseless boy all alone! The fawn let out a panicked bleat, a call for his friend. He dashed forward and looked around, searching for the fluffy babe amongst the crystals and plants. Where was he? All the while he searched he bleated. The poor fawn bleated until his throat was sore and he could no longer keep it up but he didn't stop. He wouldn't stop until he found Wynry! Just what if those things got him? He felt sick at the thought. If anything happened to Wyn he didn't know what he would do...

Finally Vazi had to stop his searching near the river. He was panting and could no longer keep up. There hadn't been any sheep bodies lying around, so that was good, right? He went closer to the water, as close as he dared, with all of the golems but he didn't see a trampled lamb. Good. His gem was still a sickly green color with fear but he calmed slightly. Latching onto the hope that Wyn had simply moved on elsewhere to eat but he should be back. Yes. He had to believe that.

He turned and began to make his way to a good spot to wait but something caught his eye. A strange dark creature with long fur. It almost reminded him of Wynry's fur but the shape of this creature was all wrong. No... He would have to keep waiting. The fawn went up to the creature and gave her a weary but kind smile. "Hello, miss, I was wondering if you had een a little lamb around here? His name is Wynry and he is my little brother. I am very worried about him." And I was supposed to keep track of him and protect him as was my job... but I failed. He didn't add this part only left it at those hopeful few words.

"Speech" Thoughts
So lost to her own jumbled thoughts, Arkrael was very unaware of a noise that was slowly, but surely, growing louder. It wasn't until movement near the water did Arkrael shift where she had been sitting. She shook herself, fully realizing just how stiff she had become from sitting there nearly motionlessly, but it was quickly dismissed as a familiar form was suddenly moving towards her. Audit's pushed forward instantly as her tail gave a rap against the ground. She knew that form! It was...not Tamelyn. Her hope had been quickly thwarted as the creature drew closer and closer to her. No that was not Tamelyn. Her Tamelyn was not all brown, but a mix of white and brown. Nor did she sound like a guy.

Arkrael shifted as this new deer came up to her, eyes alight with hope. So he was looking for someone. Someone by the name Wynry. Arkrael shook her head slowly in response as a frown slid over her features. "I am afraid not, deer friend," She looked him over as she spoke, wondering if this deer had lost this brother, Wynry, of his and got split up somehow, or if they had went separate ways for a time being before looking for one another again. Maybe this other little deer that this one was looking for was long gone away from this dangerous place. Arkrael hoped so. She knew she was older than this deer, just by the size difference that she compared between this boy and how big Tamelyn was now. He was only a little smaller than Tamelyn, so maybe they had been born into Origin around the same time. Maybe. It mattered little really.

Shaking her head clear of thoughts she studied the male deer in front of him. Her lips twitched into a small grin for a small moment as she took note of where his curious looking gem sat. Just on his chest. Just like hers. That was kind of interesting in and of it's own. She shook her head physically this time. Awed by how easily her mind drifted off into her own thoughts when this deer was clearly worried sick and looking for someone. "I can check and see if he is in the area though," She offered a soft smile to Vazi, hoping to ease his worry if only a little.

She let out a breath before closing her eyes. She began to concentrate, waiting to see if her magic would work and if she would soon hear and feel her stone come to life with the very essence of her gem sense. It was only a matter of seconds before she felt the soft vibrations within her stone. Listened to the soft humming it emitted from her chest. It was not as strong as she had hoped. Vazi's stone reacted instantly and she could pinpoint him easily, but she knew that was only because he was so close to her as she was using her magic. Yet nothing else seemed to grasp at her senses like it would if she could sense another. Hopefully this would not draw the attention of the golems...- It was only now that she thought to consider that little fact.

The sensation ebbed away and Arkrael opened her multi-colored gems once more. "I did not sense him...but I can try again if you want? Sometimes it works better than other times," Her words trailed off as she pondered over this. She wasn't sure why it worked like that. It just did, but she knew even if this deer did not ask for her to try again she would anyway. It wouldn't hurt to practice anyway. She clearly needed to if she still could not successfully cast this particular spell. A spell she had always had since the day she had been awakened.

VAZI HASIRA
"shattered innocence"

The little fawn's ears sagged when she said she hadn't seen Wynry. "Oh... Well, thanks anyway..." He said trying not to sound too dejected but failing miserably at it. His tone changed from the sickly green to a cool blue, mirroring his emotions. Once someone figured out the color patterns to his stone then it would be impossible for him to hide his true emotions but for now it probably just looked different. Well, at least he had found this creature here who seemed to be quite nice. He liked that. She'd also called him a friend which he liked too! He liked having friends though so far he'd only managed to make one.

The young stag started to turn and go but the creature smiled at him and offered her help. Scan the area? He didn't know how she would do that without physically looking but perhaps she had some sort of magic to do. He'd seen all sorts of creatures with magic but he had none of his own. He didn't know that within his little body he did have magick, just a little more subtle than everyone else's. "Any help that you would extend to me would be appreciated immensely. Thank-you... wolf friend." He didn't know how he knew the word but he did, it just came to him when he needed to find what to call the female. In all reality he was interested to see exactly what she would do.

He didn't notice anything at first, maybe a flash of her gem but then he felt a tingling within his gem. Hmm... Was this her magick? Did it allow her to send tingles to other creatures? No. That would just be silly. Perhaps it was a way to sense other creature's magic! How useful! Vazi wished he could do that, then it would be super easy keeping up with his little lamb brother.

Vazi looked hopefully at her, steel-blue eyes brightening --and gem briefly coloring to orange-- at the thought of her sensing Wynry but alas she did not. The deer held in a sad sigh and tried to look hopeful but again was betrayed by the gemstone. "Thank-you for your kind offer but I do not want to tire you out. I am the one to blame for losing my brother. I should be the one to make amends for this, I can not depend on you for that." That's the way he felt. He was the one who did this so he should have the responsibility of finding him, alone. To burden someone else would be completely unfair.

"Speech" Thoughts
Arkrael took not of the disheartened expression that had quickly flitted across the deer's features. It only vaguely occured to her...but did his stone just change colors? No...- there's no way. Shaking that thought right out of her thoughts Arkreal rose to her paws when Vazi declined her assistance. Silly dear. She offered another smile again as she took one step closer to him. In this moment she took her time to sniff at him, logging his peculiar scent into her memory banks before turning her mult-colored eyes to the area that surrounded them. She would try again. She would try until she depleted her energy on helping this new friend find his lost brother.

She had nothing else to do. Tamelyn was probably off exploring or making new friends. She always had some new friend with her when they came back into contact with the other. She grinned before clearing her thoughts again and focused once again. It wasn't long before her stone was back to life. Vibrating and humming this time stronger than last, but even still it did not seem to work. Or at least she didn't sense anyone outside of Vazi here. "Perhaps he's not in the area?" She offered the inquiry to the deer as she set her focus upon Vazi again. Generally even at that low sensation she was still able to catch a glimpse of another gembound somewhere in the area, but she was just getting nothing. He had to be else where. She would try again, but this time not mention it to Vazi just so he wouldn't feel bad if he did.

"Well, I have a pretty good nose. I'm good at hunting things. Maybe we could look for him together," Against she offered the deer a friendly smile as her tail slowly swished back and forth. It would give her something to do outside of sitting in one position staring at lumbering golems. She lifted her front leg and made a gesture as if for him to give an idea as to which way they should check for this brother of his first.

VAZI HASIRA
"shattered innocence"

The wolf didn't say anything at first, simply came closer and sniffed him. Oh deer. What was this sort of reaction? Not wanting to be left out in the cold or otherwise not catch the point he extended his own nose slightly and sniffed. Gee, he got a noseful of her wolfy smell! Not that it was bad or anything it was just different and unique. Hmm, perhaps that was why she was sniffing him. To get his smell! A good thing to know, he'd have to store that for later. He wondered what little Wynry smelled like. Oh... He hoped he would see his little friend again. He couldn't help but wonder if teaching Wynry would dress the lamb up as a sheep in wolf's clothing.

He shook his head, pushing those thoughts aside.

Perhaps he wasn't in the area? Vazi had thought of that but didn't want to dwell on it. A lamb far away from their home that wasn't good at all. What if someone had scooped him up and taken him away? "But if my dear friend is not in this area then what area would he have gotten to? We have not explored any new places together and I had not believed Wynry as the type to go exploring without me." Perhaps he had just decided to be brave and take off on his own. That worried and at the same time made him feel proud. Perhaps his little lamb was growing up, no longer would it be up to fate wether he would steer clear of trouble, he would take charge of his own destiny.

And maybe pigs would fly.

The wolf offered her nose to track down his friend and since the wolf had been the one to master sniffing for people's scents Vazi was happy to oblige. "That would be every so kind of you, miss. Please, you do not have to feel obligated to do this but if you do," The young stag gave a gentlemanly bow, extending one hoof and lowering his head in an elegant flourish. "I shall forever be in your debt." Indeed he would. For anyone that could bring his friend baa-ck it would make him ever so happy. He lifted his head and rose from his bow. "Lead on, miss."

"Speech" Thoughts
The inquiry was lost on Arkrael. She had absolutely no idea where this deer brother of Vazi's was. She had not seen anyone in the area since her arrival, but that didn't mean he wasn't lingering around somewhere. A brow lifted at Vazi as he mentioned that this brother of his would surely go no where without him. That was a little odd. Arkrael needed no one to go venturing off on her own. She definitely would not be caught standing still with light in her eyes and unable to move! Oh well, perhaps this creature Vazi spoke of was just a little skittish and was still getting use to the way things were in Origin.

With a slow nod, Arkrael turned her gaze this way and that. Pondering over which way would be the best way to hoof on down the road. If she had known what Wynry smelt like it probably would make this all the more easier. Thankfully she had her Gem sense. Slowly her gaze flitted back towards Vazi, watching as he took a bowing pose all the while he spoke. A soft laugh escaped the growing wolf pup. He could assume what he wanted. Arkrael wasn't offering her assistance to gain anything from it. She was just growing bored of staring at lumbering Golems who did nothing but walk around in cirlces it seemed.

Shaking her neck fluff in a thoughtful gesture before turning her eyes away from him. He was an interesting deer. Not at all like Tamelyn, but it wasn't a bad thing. She took a few steps forward, before looking both down the river and up closer towards the dam. Well. They may as well, quietly and very carefully, try their luck around the dam first and then if Wynry was still not found they could follow the river down it's path; at a safe distance obviously. There was no telling if there were Golem's lurking in areas of the river that would give them easy access to reach out at them. Making up her mind, Arkrael shot one more look to Vazi before she quietly made her way closer to the dam. She would not use her magic so close to the damn. Not with so many golems around. For now, they would make a wide circle around the dam to avoid bringing the golem's attention towards them and continue their search for Wynry from there.

VAZI HASIRA
"shattered innocence"

The wolf's laugh caused his head to tilt ever so slightly. Why was she laughing? Was his bow funny? What if he hadn't done it right? Granted, he had no prior knowledge on how to bow since it was just something that happened. His brain had told him to do it so he had and it felt right. He liked being a gentleman and being polite to everyone he met. Being polite was nicer than being a butt, wasn't it? Of course. Still, the laugh caught him off guard. Perhaps she just hadn't met a deer who bowed before and if that was the case he could understand why she had laughed. He probably would have laughed too now that he thought about it.

Vazi watched as the wolf turned away and he prepared himself to follow her wherever she may go. When the wolf turned towards the dam he was a little surprised with all the golems about. The creatures seemed mindless but didn't look especially friendly. Vazi didn't want to have an encounter with him if he could help it. Best to keep quiet and watch where he stepped. His head lowered subconsciously as they came closer to the danger and his tail raised, an instinctive reaction to the danger as well.

The deer couldn't imagine Wynry coming this close to the golem's, why would he? He knew what danger was or... maybe he didn't? What if he had tried to befriend the strange creatures? Oh... That would be terrible! To stave off the thoughts of that the deer spoke, in a quiet voice to the wolf.
"Miss, these creatures... these, golems. Are they especially dangerous? I have never run into one before, you see." The question was more to set his mind at ease. Did they attack unprovoked? Or would they be safe to mill around? With the caution Arkrael was taking it didn't do very much for his confidence.

Piercing multicolored eyes watched the golems unblinkingly. She hugged close to the wall as she traveled, daring not go any further than was necessary. Nervously arkrael licked at her chops all the while keeping her head down. At the sound of Vazi's voice coming from behind her it took all her will power not to jump forward in surprise. Concentrating as hard as she was, she definitely had not expected his voice to rise up behind her. Arkrael flipped her audits back to listen as he spoke quietly, but when he asked if they were dangerous she had to look at him in question. Oh, he had never encountered one? That would explain his inquiry.

Slowly she nodded her head before she took one step to the side and dropped back until she was walking right beside Vazi. So close in fact their sides kept brushing against the other as they quietly hurried along. "There are dangerous. I still don't know much about them. I plan to know some day. I will learn it...- but. For my encounters with them they always go for your stone. And when I first hatched... A much muuuuch smaller golem came around and stole all my gem shards," the memory of the golem made Arkraels hackles raise and her top lip to quiver up just the slightest. Exposing just the tips of her sharp incisors. "No matter what Tam and I did nothing stopped it. We had to run away," even now it was still a soar subject. Fortunately enough Tamelyn had saved a piece of her gemstone from the garden and now it was tucked away safely, hidden in eridanus.

A soft sigh escaped Arkrael before she shook it off and cast a wary gaze off to the side where several golems lumbered around. They were almost to the other side of the dam and luckily for her she did not smell any other scent save for Vazi's. That was good. But it did not answer the question as to where Wynry was. Maybe she could try her gem sense one more time. The golems hadn't reacted before, but now they were closer to them. She would wait till they were in the other side and moving back down the river. Or back tracking from where they came to head back down the other way. Either way, they needed to make this fast. It was far too dangerous to stay this close for so long.

Suddenly, there was a low rumbling from nearby. Following the trail of the original crystal stream which was now dried due to the destruction of the dam, several dozens of meters down, a flashing of white and pink could be seen under the swinging lights of the cave. There was the sound of smashing, and a deep roar - Svarog erupted through the silence as he swung one of his heavy fists at a golem, sending its components flying in several different directions. Four other golems were swarming him, attempting to clamber up the yeti's thick legs, reaching for his stone. Svarog was slow to pick them off, taking care to deconstruct every one as he did so; but the affair was attracting more and more of the golems. He would crack open his wide jaws and breath a rapid, wintery breath upon them. The closest golems froze in place, held by a layer of instant white ice. The rest of them persisted, intent on plucking the gem from his chest. The sudden commotion also attracts the attention of the golems near the dam. At this point, it seems around thirty golems have begun to head towards the yeti.
