Imperia growled as Aaliyah spoke. With each word, he only got more and more angry. By the end of her speech, he was having trouble not just killing her right then and there. He glanced toward the cat, scowled, and turned back to Aaliyah. "You're lucky I even stayed with you! Some would have just abandoned one. But no. I stayed. I gave you a home. Be grateful for what I did."

He snarled at her, eyes narrowed. His paws were itching to pin her down, and he had trouble keeping them away from her. With a grunt, he decided to just attack - there was only one way to settle this. They had fought before, and he had always won. He had confidence that he would win again. And once this was over, he'd be sure to punish Aaliyah.

He lifted his paws and brought them down against her, successfully pinning her down. It wasn't a hard grip, but it would do. He growled down at her, eyes flashing with anger as he held her below him. "I am going to make you regret having ever disobeyed me. I'm going to make you regret having ever lived."

Aaliyah's tail was lashing behind her as she glared at Imperia. As he spoke, she snorted. Give her a home? She would find herself a home! She would find someone who loved her, someone who would care. But no. She just had Imperia, and that may be all she will have. And she was sick of it.

When he pinned her down, she yowled. At his words, she grunted. "Regret my existence? I already do! I have taken the life of someone, I have fought others. My own existence was taken from someone else! You killed someone in order to make me. If I wasn't alive, then they would be. But I am alive. I am here. And I've killed someone because of you. I wish I had never hatched! I wish I wasn't here! You make life painful and hard. You make me dread seeing you, being around you," she spat up at him.

"Do what you will. I'll welcome it. But first, I have someone to save." They managed to just barely slip out from under him. Quickly, they rushed to the cat. "You need to get out of here! Go!" She shoved her away before turning back to Imperia.

Kallista listened as the two began to argue. Her ears were flat against her head. She would slip away, but the constant glances her way made her nervous. If she did go away, surely one of them would notice. And it would probably end up being Imperia. When he pinned Aaliyah, she gasped. At hearing her words, she let out a whimper. So she had killed before. But she seemed to regret it.

As she managed to get out, she sighed a breath of relief. But when she stood in front of her, she let out a yelp of surprise as she was shoved away. She hesitated, looking between Aaliyah and Imperia, before nodding a thanks to Aaliyah and running away. She ran to the closest exit to one of the tunnels and dashed in without a thought.

As Aaliyah continued to talk, Imperia's claws dug deeper and deeper into her shoulders and she growled. When she managed to slip out, he snarled in frustration. He watched as the cat, their first victim, ran away and into a nearby tunnel. "You have let her escape. Very well. I will not kill her." He narrowed his eyes. "I will, however, kill you."

He lowered himself into a crouch and then leaped, claws aiming for her.

Aaliyah watched with a nod of satisfaction as the cat ran. When Imperia began speaking, she turned to him and growled. "Fine then. Come kill me, if you can." She watched as he leaped and growled upon feeling claws on her face. With the close proximity, however, she figured she ought to be able to scratch him back. She prepared to strike, waiting for the right moment.

But Imperia was too fast for her, and before she could strike, he had already moved out of the way. She scowled at him and prepared for his next attack.

Imperia grinned in satisfaction as his claws met their mark. Before Aaliyah could attack him, he twisted and leaped swiftly out of the way, his grin still there as he landed on his feet a short distance away. "You're going to have to be faster than that." He watched her for a moment, calculating what his next move would be.

After a moment, he let out a low chuckle. Aaliyah's always been one who hated fire and being burnt. She was always reluctant to use her spells, and he knew it. What better thing to do than burn her? He slowly walked closer, preparing for his spell. When he was close, he spat the bile of fire at her.

Aaliyah flicked her tail, watching him closely. Upon hearing him chuckle, she narrowed her eyes. What was he going to do next? A spell? He knew she didn't like fire spells, and hated being burnt. She hated her element, and he was likely going to take advantage of that. If she got burnt too badly, she may not be able to continue. Would it be better if she dodged his attacks? Normally, she'd fight back. Maybe that was why she kept losing.

So she waited, watching Imperia with concentration, preparing herself for their move. She could see him working on it, and just as he spat the spit ball of fire at her, she quickly dodged. She just barely managed to avoid getting burnt. Glaring at him, she prepared for his next move. She'd dodge them all if she had to.

Imperia growled as Aaliyah dodged his attack. "You may have dodged that one, but you can't dodge them all! You'll never win that way," he scowled at her. His eyes were narrowed, trained on Aaliyah. He had to win this battle! If he lost, then she would leave him. And he wasn't sure he'd be able to handle that. But if he just kept winning these battles, he'd make sure she didn't leave him, and they could continue to kill others! Who cares if she didn't want to? He'd make her kill again!

He growled at her before leaping again, claws outstretched and aiming for her. He still had to win this battle, and he'd do anything to make sure he did!

Aaliyah scowled at Imperia. "I'll dodge your attacks if I darn well please." She watched Imperia as he prepared his next move. When he leaped at her, she decided to try a different tactic. He was right, after all - she wouldn't win by dodging. She'd have to actually fight. She wished she could just leave, run away from Imperia. But no; she had to stay. She had to fight, even if there was no hope she'd win.

So she crouched down, preparing for the right moment. She tried to jump up to meet them, but one of her hind paws slipped on the wet floor, and she fell. She let out a grunt as she landed, face down, on the ground. Imperia would have no trouble getting to her now.

Imperia chuckled at Aaliyah's failed attempt to attack them. It only made it easier for him. This battle was a breeze! He hardly had to even do anything, and just let the hybrid's failed attempts help him. He let out a grin as a paw landed on her head. He dug her face further into the ground. "What made you ever think you could beat me in a battle? I have trained you. I am the reason you have come this far. The reason you have killed. The reason you will continue to kill. Because that's what's going to happen when you lose this battle. Which you will. Why even bother fighting me? There's no way you'll ever win. Just face it already!"

He didn't bother to do anything else, aside from holding down her head. He chuckled, feeling her struggle beneath him. This was the easiest actual battle he had ever done. If it could even be called that.
