"What a travesty," she muttered, finding that the many territorial marks she made had since been grown over or deteriorated entirely. So, she began rubbing the tusks on trees, bending and breaking branches and saplings. As her work progressed and her blood pumped with a possessive need. A fight. She was now looking for a fight. Anything would do. She'd almost rematch that damned dragon who once tried to eat her fucking face. As it was, she didn't feel strong enough, yet. She needed to find others to prey upon, to practice her skills on. Sure, she might lose some, but... what was glory without wounds and scars and blood?

Gadanai reared up, trunk in the air as she roared out; her trumpet was loud, echoing through the room. She crashed down to her feet, immediately bulldozing a new trail through the forest. She would find something, somehow, one way or another. A venture to a new room? Certainly. She most definitely would go to lengths, at this point. The lust for unnecessary war pumped through her veins like adrenaline.

Cetus was an awful place to look for flowers, everything was swampy and misty and to top it off it was still dark. It made everything so difficult so she just decided to go to her usual hunting ground. Eridanus! Even in the dark she knew that there would be beautiful flowers everywhere, she would just have to find them. Firstly she opened her mouth to let the odors of fresh flowers flow over her mouth and then, she followed it all the way to a patch of blue hibiscus. Delighted the lioness let out a happy little squeal and began to roll amongst the flowers. Ah, she always loved to get the smell all over her fur! It was so delightful!

Once she was thoroughly dowsed in the sweet perfume she stood up and pawed at the wilted flower at her ear, knocking it off before she rooted around for another one. Once she found a prime choice she used one paw to place it in the fur in front of her left ear and once it was settled there she began to pick a few more flowers. Around her shoulder she carried a satchel, it was old and tattered but one she'd gotten in her younger years and it still proved faithful for carrying around the plants that she oh-so-loved.

In the midst of her flower picking she heard the trumpeting call of an elephant followed by stomping feet. Part of her wondered if she should run, that call... didn't sound happy... But she decided against it. Perhaps... Perhaps it was someone that needed help... Perhaps someone that she could aid.

The taint... The pessimist in her whispered but she tried to tamp it down. No... Not the taint. Perhaps someone with a valid reason to be angry. The caves weren't completely evil, everything wasn't bad. Her family was back, she was back, everything was fine.

Not as fine as you think it is...

She tried to ignore her own thoughts, humming as she attempted to ignore the creeping sense of dread at her gut by focusing her attention on the flowers and not the angry thundering noise she could rapidly hear approaching.

Her strides were long, purposeful. A surprising speed to people who didn't know elephants were capable of covering ground. Although she lost her two elemental spells, she was sure she could easily accomplish whatever she needed. Brute force. Cleverness. Manipulation and cruelty. Her sadism would defeat any average gembound. Ones like Bara? Heh, a different tale altogether. And it boiled her up inside to know how easily he was able to take advantage of the moment. That he was able to eat a piece of her. Damn flesh-eaters... if only Hasira hadn't failed like the miserable fool he was.

Gadanai froze in her tracks, seeing something through the trees. A feline. Prey. Bright red eyes were now locked on, and she charged. Trees and brush became dust in the wake of her path. Her head lowered and she aimed those tusks, trying to keep her speed. It was a bit tricky though, to aim that low. As a result, she lifted her head a bit more, hoping to stampeded the cat.

The crashing grew louder and louder and soon the creature emerged behind her. She knew because she could smell the heavy scent of elephant all around her. The lioness sighed, dreading that this creature would attack and fervently hoping that her thoughts would not become reality. The lioness turned, a sad smile on her face as she looked upon the beast charging right for her... looking as if she would not stop at at all.

Please don't do it...

Still she did not stop... Still the elephant came.

I don't want to fight...

Her heart was sad, even as her hackles rose and the adrenaline began to flow her in her veins. She crouched, claws grasping at the earth as she watched the beast draw nearer and nearer. "Stop..." Her voice was barely a whisper as she felt magicka charge in the gem at her forehead.

The beast was almost upon her, if this didn't work... she would pay dearly for it. Fortunately, she knew that the spell was ready and that it would work so when she saw at the last moment that the elephant wouldn't go she decided to push her on her way. "STOP!" Her voice was a roar now, her voice booming and loud as a physical force of air would rush from it, hard enough to hopefully disrupt her charge or perhaps even knock her back and out of the charge.

"I don't want to fight, just leave me be!" She snarled, eyes glinting in the darkness of the caves. She doubted it would turn her away but she at least wanted it to be known that this was not the way she would want to go. "Please!"

It was tunnel vision. Locked on like a heat-seeking missal to an individual who never asked for it. She didn't deserve the treatment she was about to get, but not an ounce of remorse lived inside this elephant. She was so close, it seemed. Then that roar, with a blast of air. It knocked her back several steps, causing her to spin around to regain her footing. She lost so much space between them, it seemed.

Angry air blew from her nostrils. Gadanai walked toward her, blinded by this angry lust for someone else's life. A swing and a... a miss?! Her trunk swung by and only a breeze of what could of been slipped right by the feline. Instantly, Gadanai found herself completely pissed off. A deep bellow was her next response.

Her roar redirected the great beast, turning her around and throwing her completely off of her charge. She was saved, for now. However, with the angry sounds she was making the lioness knew it was only for a moment that she would be alright. Quickly the elephant turned back around with blazing eyes as she reared up that trunk for a smack. It seemed she would not get her wish today, the elephant would come and she would be forced to fight back. Makyna doubted that running would save her, the beast would follow and what then? If she made it back to Cetus she would lead it onto her family. No. She had to deal with this now.

The elephant swung and she ducked out of the way. Her blue eyes narrowed, blazing with righteous anger as the gembound would not lay off of her attack. "Then so be it." She growled, voice low in her throat. If she wanted a fight, then she had one.

Eyes turned briefly to a nearby tree, noting a limb that hung from it, nice and sharp with plenty of sharp ends for dealing damage. Part of her didn't want to do this but she knew she had no choice. With simply a thought she attempted to rip the limb from the tree and hurt it right at the elephant with the sharp end aimed to bury itself in the elephants flesh, perhaps that trunk. That's where most of her attacks came from, it seemed.

The disappointment was real upon her miss. The words spoken by the lioness was the challenge she wanted. Unfortunately, the following action was quite a disaster for her. She found herself watching this lioness try to fight a branch instead.

"Hey, you twit! I'm standing over h--," and she froze in that moment, as the sharp end moved toward her faster than she could even think to move.

It pieced her trunk, the end coming out the other side a few inches. Her breathing was heavy and labored, coming from her mouth. Moments later, blood began to drip from her nostrils. The pain was absolutely unbelievable - on par with her nose losing a chunk. Maybe worse? She wasn't sure. Her ears were ringing as the pain enveloped her in what felt like several minutes, but was truly only seconds.

With a shudder and grunts and noises of agony, she twisted her trunk up and broke the longer end, reluctantly. It tore her skin further, earning a bit of quiet, pained sobs. She then, hesitantly, pulled the rest out. Blood poured from the wound, her voice crackling in her pants. Her vision now blurred, she stared at the blob of brown before her, eyebrows sinking down as a fresh rage took hold.

"One way or another, you will pay for that, you little bitch."

The branch came, faster until it pierced through the elephant's trunk. The lioness found herself wincing, not happy to see anyone in such pain especially not from something she caused. However, she was forced to shake it off. She was here for a fight and it wouldn't do to start feeling sympathy for her opponent. Perhaps if she injured her enough the elephant would be put off... Or killed.

Makyna didn't want to kill anyone. she could feel the guilt creeping back in, threatening to consume her if she didn't do something. Fortunately the elephant was there to snap her back to reality. She would pay? Oh no... She had this all wrong. The lioness took a breath and then a step forward, eyes glaring and lips pulled back to expose the length of her fangs as she roared at the top of her lungs but not just with her lungs but with her mind as well. "I WILL PAY?! NO! YOU WILL PAY! YOU STARTED THIS! YOU ARE THE ONE WHO WILL SUFFER! YOU ARE THE ONE WHO WILL FACE THE PUNISHMENT OF ALL OF THE TAINT THAT THE CAVES HAVE TO OFFER! I DIDN'T WANT TO FIGHT! EVERYTHING THAT HAPPENS IS A DIRECT CAUSE OF YOURSELF!" Not only did she want to scream and roar at the top of her lungs with her mouth she did it with her mind as well, hoping to scream her booming voice directly into the elephant's brain in hopes to disorient and distract and to cause mental pain. Inwards and out, she wanted the elephant to hurt. To repent and hopefully stop with her actions.

As she continued to stare down the big cat, something began to probe her mind; a voice. It seemed that this feline was using her magicka again, trying to scream into her head. Although it was annoying, uncomfortable even, she pushed through it. Yes, she would make this lioness pay for injuring her so badly. It was this prey's job to take the beating. She wasn't the one that was suppose to be this hurt, this attacked.

Her steps all the white were silent, slow. Creeping as close as possible once more while the voice raged within. As the blame was laid upon the elephant - rightfully so - pulled her trunk all the way back, then swung her head back around, hoping to nail the feline. Oh, but how the pain would surge. It was likely to cause her to suddenly hesitate mid-swing.

She stared, body stiff, fur raised as she attempted to work her --literal-- magick on the elephant. It appeared that her cast wasn't as strong as she liked or perhaps the elephant was stronger than she gave her credit for but the beast moved towards her again. Steps slow as she deliberately came in to try and close the distance to deal as much damage as she could. Makyna didn't drop off her attack, she stayed strong and waited until the elephant was close.

That trunk pulled back again and another attempt was made to smack her with it. Thinking fast the lioness attempted to leap out of the way, wanting to save her magicka reserves for attacking if need be. However, she wasn't quick enough and she felt the trunk connect with her side. She hissed as she felt the limb smack against her left side, knocking her trajectory off slightly and bruising her side but ultimately it wasn't as strong of a hit as it could have been. The lioness ended up landing on her paws a few feet away with eyes staring at the elephant to see what she would do next.
