Another yelp was cried out when the red retracts their claws from the lupine's flesh and just crawls around their body leading to more punctures in their flesh where blood continues to draw from being pierced inches deep by the red's sharp grip on their rear.

More words ineligible to her senses. Just irritating sounds, this one though, appears to be mocking, however, it was almost like the red was intentionally whispering in their ear to taunt them on the factor the red has the upper hand. It might want to watch it, be careful where they place their head so close to the savage they would've took the chance and grabbed the red by the neck and ripped and rend at the red's throat open entirely with her infected fangs. But having claws being clamped down harder than ever near to where her spine is enough, that and her current condition with her jaws that never came to be the aye aye's fate.

That and she had no chance to do so the moment as lightning flickers into reality, strands of the wolf's fur start floating up as in response to the static. But that's not the problem, for most of the lightning's brunt has flowed straight through her spine, which the wolf's body took immediate negative response to. Their whole entire body begins to convulse rapidly, it felt almost like her own spine was being sucked towards to the central point of the lightning. Her heart starts to beat really fast and her vision starts to go black for real and it's not due to the darkness in the caves and all she can now distinguish the feeling is the strong feeling of static flowing throughout her innards completely ravaging them. The other feelings are her new fresh wounds stung immensely, her head was still pounding which is drowning out all the other noises. The pounding came from the still existing migraine, and the sound of her fast heart beating... No, more like quivering rapidly, but uselessly for it is failing to pump blood through the wolf's veins.

Her whole body was trembling a lot, but it's not thrashing about, it's just completely still aside from the trembling... But other things started to come from this, her lower jaw dropped more loosely than ever before the nerves in it now appear to be truly gone. Drool and blood dripping from the mouth as the sounds of choking came back with a revenge as the wolf's whole entire jaw and throat felt completely paralyzed now. The paralysation is spreading to other parts of the wolf's body too, so she can't stop herself when her body started to slowly slide under the snow and ice. They were heading straight for a ledge, that leads directly to the freezing water, which she won't be able to swim in thanks to this spreading paralysation.

Yuma

The demented cackling continued as Yuma poured more and more electricity into the helpless wolf; watching it writhe, watching the red water escape its form, feeling its drums beat erratically, hearing its wind get caught inside its throat. Its limbs locking up was the real surprise, as usually it took a good bit longer to get to that point in the hunt.

It was a bit of a shame to have such a quick kill, but this enemy was much more dangerous than any old cave deer. This was an actual threat! Even as the creature's locked up physical form continued to slide the little aye aye reached deep inside his own gem and redoubled the current pulsing through his claws.

The gem shone brighter, but like a hiccup flickered from its short ramp up time. A single surge of electricity flowed through his body and stopped before it could reach its target, sending pain signals throughout Yuma's consciousness. His own limbs twitched and his sense of balance went away just long enough for him to fall off the creature's back and slide a bit behind it.

No yelp came to the wolf this time when the aye-aye was essentially torn off their back. They continued to make the disturbing choking sounds that echoed in the room, sounding just like the feral beast she currently is now to a potential random passer-by. She continued to skid the down the ledge transverse slowly, until a new noise came and reached others ears. Unlike the choking sounds the wolf made, this sound was not as audible to hear, but it sounded a lot more natural than the sounds the wolf is making. However, this new noise sounds just as sickening as their choking sounds.

A cracking noise, the sound of rocks breaking off.

The slowest time was over, and the wolf is now right by the edge of this ledge. The sickening cracking noise is the sound of the land of this ledge chipping away, falling into the water under her weight. Making her closer than ever to falling in herself.

The wolf didn't try to prevent this; her body isn't the only thing that has gone numb, her mind has gone numb too, no longer even having the feral instincts that made her go insane. She's just basically in a depressed like state, and has stopped fighting back against all of this besides trying to stop the choking once and for all.

With her whole body starting to get more limp from being paralyzed, which applied more weight to the unstable terrain that was supporting her. At last the ground under her suddenly collapsed under her weight, as a huge chunk of the ledge's rocky formation broke off, taking her down with it.

Her body now being thrown as it is about to be plunged into the dark endless pit of water, as it finally hit the wolf's body.

Even with the wolf's paralyzed body and dulled senses, the water was freezing, but burning at the same time, feeling like needles of ice stabbing into her numb body. She was incapable of holding her breath right now. This is due to the factor that her muzzle and throat have taken the full brunt of this paralysis out of all the parts of her body, and so the sub-zero water very quickly filled in her lungs which seared her innards more than the aye-aye's lightning did. She is sinking on her back, so her face is directed where the surface of the water is. Her blurry vision looked up as tiny beads of bubbles gingerly floated up to the surface, the fresh blood that the wolf has lost from her wounds also floated up to the surface, clouding the surface of the water with a deep red.

She continues to sink down as the water's gripped on her, it dragged her down into the darker depths. By some unfortunate luck her body felt the need to start the choking again in some feeble attempt to gag for air but to no avail, only more water entered her body which tasted horribly bitter. She of course, never felt that her body was gagging and choking, all due to factors that her body could no longer feel.

Her body stopped feeling things more so than before with the combination of this infection's paralysis and the freezing cold water.

Her sense of sight wavered, until finally it burned out as darkness was truly the only thing she could see. The only sense at the wolf's disposal was her sense of hearing, as the sound of flowing water was around her, but they eventually were drowned out too and nothing remained of her senses when her back finally hit the bed of this water in the darkest depths.

When it seemed that was it at last, out of nowhere in these dark depths many large beams of lights in the colours of blue and green started to shine from their seemingly lifeless form. With the light arrival, it can be made out that the source of it is coming from their Gem. Said Gem was beginning to make strained crackling sounds as it begun to reform and expand. Encasing around its body vessel that hosts it like some spider web, till all it formed all around her and the only thing to be seen is a large gem and no wolf... No a Chrysalis, for like before when she came to be the exterior may have been a just a gem but she was inside it. This applies here too for the wolf is inside the Chrysalis, safe from the outside and the body was no longer drowning, though it is unknown if it truly is alive or not.

As if the Chrysalis knew somehow its wielder required air in spite of their condition, some unknown force made it begin to float back up to the surface. That shall be what the aye-aye shall see in due time: A Chrysalis that’s dipped in the water before going back under, and no wolf to be seen will be all to be seen later on.

It is unknown if she truly has met her end or is merely once again into a deep sleep. Only time will tell...

Yuma

The pain of electricity quickly faded away, replaced instead by the numbing sensation of ice and snow sliding below Yuma as he tumbled after the wolf down the slope. Unlike the canine though he was quick to recover; righting himself in an upright position and getting ready to jump away as soon as his opponent did the same. A counter attack never came though as a loud crack announced a change in the landscape and the creature's stiff body made no move to react.

Muscles stayed tense, even as the ground just before the small aye aye gave way and dumped his foe into the waters below. Any moment now the creature was sure to rise again, continue the fight. Any moment now.

A splash and nothing more. No howl of despair, no last curse to the fates, no sudden rise from the depths upon demonic wings to continue the fight. Yuma chanced a glance over the edge, halfway expecting the barbaric entity to have caught a lower ledge and be ready to strike. Not even that though, as below him he caught only sight of a large gem bob up to the surface and plunge below once more.

Minutes passed in complete stillness as Yuma watched, waited, residual electricity pulsing through his fur and along the wound he had incurred. Ears strained for any sign of life, any sign that this brief moment of excitement might continue.

Minutes turned to hours, even as blood-stained coat dried and wounds closed up. Yuma's body began to betray him as muscles twitched and quivered from the cold. Boredom weighed heavily on his mind, yet still he watched the surface of the waters with single-minded focus. Signals of pain and discomfort raged through his mind from the long vigil, yet only after signals of fatigue became unbearable did he allow himself to retreat from the site of conflict.

And so he ran back toward his home in Canis as fast as if he had been chased. Despite all the unpleasant feelings that ran through his body and the disappointment of a short encounter a smile was plastered on his face, for despite its flaws this had been an interesting day.

It was there, tracking the scent of sickness into the dark when it had come upon the wolf as it stood, thrashing and striking out at the water. Red eyes had flashed in the dark, taking in every detail. And then there was another familiar face, as the two suddenly locked into a life-and-death struggle, for seemingly no reason whatsoever.

The wolf was barely recognizable as the creature it had been mere hours ago. Yet somehow, Gabriel was sure it knew what had caused this. Mere emotions couldn't do this, not to one so calm. Even now, the nausea had risen yet again in the small pup's belly, green-tinted saliva encrusting its lips. Its breaths bated, the pup kept on watching every moment Every strike, every spark, every blood-curdling screech that was emitted, Gabriel kept on staring, open-mouthed and absorbed in every passing moment.

This wasn't enough to prove its theory, however; Gabriel's nose twitched, sniffing in the dark. It cast out its senses and tried to see what it was that was making the wolf so ravenous, so pained. It was there. The pup was almost overwhelmed by the sense of scale that all the swarming souls created, the wolf's foaming maw at it's epicentre. There was a plague breeding within them, and Gabriel was its incubator. How intriguing... the pup thought as it watched, knowing better than to voice its thoughts.

Until finally, as quickly as it had begun, the fight ended. The wolf sank down into the water, and did not resurface. Instead, a lovely stone bobbed to the surface, patterns of blue and green hiding the malcontent within. One could only assume that the wolf had been encased within, as though to be reborn anew. Gabriel was learning more and more; there was so much to think and theorize, so much that it needed to prove. But it had to take things step by step, and the first would be to find its brother.

Surely Tacitus would find this just as curious as Gabriel did.

Watching for only a few moments longer as the Aye-Aye waited patiently for the wolf to return, Gabriel knew it couldn't risk being seen here. lowering its head and dropping its ears, Gabriel slunk away, and was lost as the shadows closed behind it.
