Nkosana awoke inside his chrysalis, he wasn't sure when, or even how he had gotten back into it, he just knew he had been in there for way too long. He started struggling against the wall of the chrysalis, breaking free of it fairly quickly he tumbled out into the lights of the cave and the spire, looking up at it he grinned, he didn't know how long he had been in there, but he did know that he was glad to be out. He called out for anyone in the nearby vicinity, last he was here there had been buzzing activity, he could only remember dimly, but he still knew. "Hello?

Vianne had grown a lot since she first hatched. Her fur was once cream, and her legs too long for her body. As she grew, her fur turned white and she had grown taller, her body now fitting her legs, giving her a slender and elegant look.

Her appearance wasn't the only thing that changed. She was fully grown now, and her young, carefree personality was gone. Replacing it was a sense of authority. She was still young, and she knew that. Still, she held herself as though she had a purpose. Certainly not as though she had just rehatched, with no memory of where she was.

Which is what happened.

She had traveled a little when she first hatched, and as she walked now, bits and pieces of her memory came back. She knew this place was Polaris, and had wandered a bit before the lights went dark. When they didn't come back for a while, she went into a chrysalis and decided to hatch later. And here she is.

The area around here seemed to buzz, and she felt energetic. With this feeling came another, and she looked deep inside herself to bring it out. Without much effort, something seemed to change. She didn't know what at first until she noticed small plants beginning to grow along her legs. Turning around, she saw others on her back. She rather liked them, and continued to walk, proud of herself for having done this. It wasn't long before she heard a voice. Following it, she saw a small creature with a purple ring around his neck and large ears. She walked closer and responded, "Hello."

"Well hello there, I seem to have just rehatched from that dreadful chrysalis, would you mind telling me where I am?" He said fluidly, his voice taking on a melancholy yet cheerful lilt, musical in a way. "But oh how dreadfully impolite of myself, my name is Nkosana, that much I do remember" he said with a slight bow "Now along with my original question, may I inquire as to your name my dear?" He said with a grin, slowly walking towards her, planting each step firmly but softly, with a purpose. Holding his head high regally. He was aiming to impress after all, he couldn't afford to be hanging his head and moping around could he?

Vianne smiled softly. The other's voice was melancholic, yet slightly cheerful and melodic. She found she rather liked it. She walked a bit closer, taking a few careful steps. As he spoke, she paused. She didn't really know where she was either. She did remember the name Polaris, so perhaps that was where they are?

"I do not know much of where we are myself. Polaris, perhaps." Her voice was soft, each word distinctly emphasized. "My name is Vianne." Her smile grew slightly as the other approached, each step firm and with a purpose. She had to admit he was rather charming, and so very polite.

"Ah Vianne, a beautiful name, fitting for such an elegant creature. It is a pleasure to make your acquaintance Vianne." His grin perpetually gleaming in the light of the spire. He slowed down slightly when he heard her speak the name of the place, circling her once slowly while he spoke; "Now that you mention the name of this place though I do believe you are correct, it sounds right. I find it hard to think that I could have forgotten this, it is beautiful. Even the ceiling is adorned in light" He said wistfully, sitting sitting next to her and looking up to those glowing plants attached to the ceiling. He looked at her then "I do not suppose you know where we could go to get some food do you? I have been in that chrysalis for who knows how long and I am quite famished." He asked politely, looking up into her eyes.

(Sorry for the short posts, I'm not sure why but this character just seems really direct, like his actions don't really need explaining)

Vianne's smile broadened more. His grin seemed to light up the place, even though it was already well-lit. She watched as he circled her slowly, before sitting next to her. She looked up at the lights as well and admired them. They were truly gorgeous, and she found she could stare at them without ever growing tired.

As the other spoke, she turned back to him. She hummed lightly at his words, pausing to think. She didn't really know what the other would eat. He probably ate meat, unlike her. She had seen a few mice and other creatures skittering around, although where they were now, she wasn't sure.

"Well," she began, "I'm not sure what all someone like you would eat. There may be a few mice or something around here. I don't think there are very many plants here." She looked around briefly.

"My kind can eat some plants along with meat, I find berries delicious, though a mouse or two once in a while is nice also." He was staring up at the ceiling while saying this. He started to hum wistfully, the melody going up and down in a melancholy tune that seemed to echo throughout the cavern. He started to sing in an equally melancholy tune. Filling the cavern with music.

Vianne hummed lightly, not any particular tune, as Nkosana spoke. She was about to look for something the two could eat when she heard the other begin to hum. She listened for a moment before taking a few steps, only to stop suddenly as he began to sing. She paused, and turned around to face him.

His voice was sad and melancholic, but she was drawn to it. She sat down and listened, humming along softly as best she could. When he had finished, she smiled. "That was wonderful. You have a very nice voice." She stood, still smiling. "I don't sing much. In fact, I hardly ever talk." Yet she was talking to Nkosana. There was just...something about him that drew her in. His looks, perhaps? Or maybe his voice?

Kosa sauntered over to the deer then, nuzzling her ankle. "Thank you. But Really? A voice such as yours should be heard through every corner of this cavern. It is more beautiful than mine ever could be. The male to be able to say that voice belongs to their mate one day will be very lucky indeed to make such a claim. I know I would consider myself as such." He said, plans of action already racing through his mind. He jumped onto his back legs then, licking the underside of her chin.

Vianne chuckled as she watched him. A long ear flicked as he spoke, and she smiled. "Oh please, my voice is nothing compared to yours. Few have heard it, and I plan to keep it that way. I don't see the point in talking much, unless you...truly have something important to say." All this talking was getting to be too much for her, though she tried to show no signs of it, instead continuing to watch Nkosana. She blinked in surprise as he jumped up to lick the underside of her chin, though her surprised didn't last long and she soon chuckled as well.
