The strangeness of Cetus

The mysterious hum in Cetus awakens Usui from his chrysalis. He promptly joins several gembounds in discovering the source of noise. Aquarian emerges and they have a showdown with this NPC who eventually reveals himself to be a fallen creature of Nemean's doing. He becomes a neutral NPC who may grant an audience with gembounds if they feed him!

Roll the Bones

Usui wanders towards a pile of bones in Canis owned by Giggle, a shaman/oracle hyena skilled in reading bones. He requests to learn bone-reading from her and she obliges. She reads his fortune and gives him a small lesson on power. The cub chooses to leave halfway through the lesson to explore Origin further, resulting in Giggle begrudging his impoliteness and thinks-he-knows-it-all attitude. Usui has since refrained from doing bone reading fearing that he might be blindly "grasping at straws" and instead, discovered his own art of reading pebble stories.

Pebble stories

The bright, young cub decides to conduct his own pebble storytelling session. Collecting pebbles, he calls forth gembounds to draw their memories and exchange stories with him! Pebble stories takes an emotional turn when Makyna and Cancer appear on scene, sparking off some drama. Will their wounds heal? Usui meets Bevy as well who shares with him about Maji Walezi. Not to mention Cancer welcoming him to Pisces. Seems that he has quite an affinity with this group!

Fight Song

One of the most epic adventures of Usui's! He wanders into Tunnel J and meets Quix, a hyperactive fennec fox. Together, they search for bits of metal and treasure. With her help, Usui gets his own satchel - an old, leather bag strung with a rusty metal chain. He also receives a shiny metal arrowhead. He learns to write by observing the carvings along the ancient walls. Trouble strikes when the lion gets a critical failure when casting dislodge! Stairs start to crash and the cub uses his body to shield Quix. She escaped unscathed but the cub gets very badly injured in one leg and gets stuck under the rubble. Thankfully, Leon (bear) hears the rumble and carries him to safety. Unbeknownst to them, a newly emerged raptor squad scents Usui's blood and decides to follow them.

Oh you do your blinding best

Leon carries the injured Usui towards Pisces in hope that Bevy might help heal him! Bevy arrives on scene and starts gathering healing supplies. Meanwhile, Usui questions Leon about Makyna, causing Leon to feel both grumpy and curious about Usui's knowledge about his affairs. Bevy returns with the medical supplies and spots the raptor squad! A fight begins with Leon basically tanking the raptors. Usui tries to assist in battle but mid-way casts yet another critical failure while attempting to imitate Leon's fire magic (incinerate), thus frying his insides and blacking out. Giggle appears on scene and magically causes fungi that smell of rotting meat to spawn on Leon, successfully warding off the raptors which disappear. Leon decide to pursue the raptor squad. After some time, Usui regains consciousness following which Bevy helps heal him and guides him to shelter in Maji Walezi.

Fallah gets encased in ice while practising magic! A couple of gembounds rush to help! Usui attempts to save her with the collective effort of a couple other young gembounds who arrive in the nick of time.

Usui is wanders around Orion aimlessly and chances upon a curious raccoon, Bravo. They engage in small talk and check out each other's magic! Usui casts a critical success, procuring himself a large, glossy chunk of black jade as well as turquoise gems matching Bravo's eyes. He crafts this into a tail bangle for the raccoon as a gift! Bravo is thrilled.

Swim Swim Swim!

After casting a critical failure, Usui gets overwhelmed by his failed usage of gem sense and falls into Polaris River. Unable to swim, he thrashes around and continues to sink, thinking that he is about to drown. Fortunately, Eeya comes to his rescue and teaches the lion cub how to swim! Usui is a fast learner and picks up the dolphin's techniques quickly and gets titled an official dolphin friend by Eeya! As they part, Usui gifts Eeya a pebble with a fish and water symbol while the kind-hearted, cheerful dolphin gives him a colourful seashell.

Usui casts gem sense successfully and meets Dragon who is collecting a huge pile of prey as an offering to Aquarian. They take a dislike and distrust towards each other. Dragon gives unsatisfactory answers to Usui's questions, and the lion cub leaves after leaving a prophecy of Dragon's fate.

On yet another adventure, Usui returns to his favourite tunnel! The cub casts gem sense successfully and meets Diamondfang, theleader of merrymen. He casts his magic, magnet, successfully and attains several metal bits. He offers them to her and she chooses an arrowhead, shiny and similar to his own. They seem to get along pretty well! Being quite the gentleman, the lion cub offers to carry Diamondfang's loot back to her hideout.

Usui comes across Makyna and a newly emerged Rhone! Rhone seems to take immediate liking to Usui and scurries to his side! She snuggles up to Usui who gets extremely awkward, being a late developer in love! Makyna is amused by this. The cub decides to gift both Rhone and Makyna with some jewellery! He summons magnet successfully and gifts Rhone with a arm bangle, while Makyna picks out a rusty chain and conveys telepathically to him how she'd like it to be crafted (and to be gifted to Leon!). Feeling grateful that the bear had saved him from the raptors and enjoying Makyna's company very much, the lion cub crafts Makyna her desired necklace, removing the rust off the chain and garnishing it with oragne garnet gems! Before they part ways, Usui mentions to Makyna he hopes she'll tell Leon that he crafted the necklace, as a gesture of thanks on his end!

Usui tracks down a new scent and meets Baratheon whom he hunts a mouse for. This results in Baratheon losing himself to bloodlust! Usui thinks of ways to calm Baratheon and decides to craft him a mini-Flafe to cuddle. He leaves on this quest! Will he be successful in hunting out some wool for the toy?

Climbing the ladder

Usui tracks down a new scent and meets Kerberos, who is a three-headed puppy (slightly smaller than him in stature at that point in time). He obliges Kerberos and catches a mouse for him to eat but gets aggravated when Kerberos continues to threaten him with eating him if he did no gather more food. Eventually, they break out into a fight when Usui wants to show Kerberos that the river is safe and teach him how to swim, while Kerberos wants to ward Usui away from the water so that the lion cub wouldn't drown. An intense fight ensues and Usui emerges triumphant. They part ways when, at the end of their fight, Kerberos jumps back onto shore while Usui decides to follow the current and travel away. Will their relationship be destroyed, or will they come to be friends after this well-intentioned misunderstanding?

The Eyes of the Beholder

Usui tracks Baratheon down with the intention of observing the dragon in his natural habitat. Subsequently, he meets Dragon, an alligator whom he mistakes for a crocodile. They go for a swim and start to play tag, by which time Usui is feeling rather lonely and so he returns to shore. He decides to hunt a rat for Baratheon and Dragon. Unfortunately, the scent and sight of blood arouses Baratheon's bloodlust. He snaps up the rat and turns on Usui. A 3-way fight ensues - Baratheon decides that he would eat Usui followed by Dragon, Usui wishes to subdue Baratheon while a confused Dragon (who wasn't aware of Baratheon's bloodlust till mid-fight) tries to split up his two friends! Who will emerge victorious in this fight?

Having noticed the never-ending rain in Cetus while the water in Canis is starting to dry up, Usui decides to gather a sacrificial pile (complete with a roughly crafted metal tray) for Aquarian in hopes that the NPC might provide him with answers, or hints for his investigation. Aquarian emerges and seems very happy with the rain though! He doesn't provide the lion cub with many clues apart from mentioning "the creature" and informing him that the entire system of Origin is living and changing just like a gembound! If this weather phenomenon is not caused by any creature, then, what might be the cause of this?

He successfully gets the last stone, a cluster od danburite, and leaves. The dragon and lamb shift but do not wake.

Usui travels to Canis and discovers the Chambers. He notices that many gems have been embedded into the bones of long-dead gembounds and so uses his magic to collect more gems for his craft. Using gem summon successfully, he crafts four sturdy, pale green gem spikes matching his eye colour. Soon, he comes across Arkrael who is chewing on bones for the marrow inside! She offers him a bone and Usui discovers how wonderful bone marrow taste like! They realize that both are earth magic users, sparking great interest and excitement.
