VAZI HASIRA
"shattered innocence"

Vazi watched as the wolf dropped back to walk beside him, his ears pricking towards her attentively. He didn't want to miss a word of this new information. Hmm... they went for stones? By why? He couldn't help but glance down at his own stone, clear for the moment, in confusion. Was it the magic within them? He knew that the stones held some magic, he felt it tingle sometimes during moments when he felt hydrated.

Even while she explained the sensitive deer could tell that this topic was a sore one. The wolf's lip slipped up to expose sharp fangs... Fangs that for some reason caused a prickle of apprehension to run through him. He didn't know why, Arkrael had been nothing but helpful to him. She was kind and nice and he liked her. So why did those fangs cause a stirring in his instincts? The fawn shook his head and rid himself of the annoying feeling. It was silly, feeling that way about such a kind wolf, especially when he didn't even know why he was afraid. "Perhaps they are attracted to the magic in the shards. I do not know for sure as I have even less knowledge of golems than you but I would like to believe that my hypothesis is correct." Or at least he hoped so. "And you mentiond a 'Tam'. Is this Tam a deer that goes by the full name of Tamelyn? If so then I think--" His words were interrupted by a roar.

The fawn's gem changed to green as another prickle of fright went up his spine. What on earth made a sound like that? He turned his head and looked down the stream to find a larg epink and white creature being assaulted by golems! The thing looked like it should have been able to fend off the golems but there were so many! When he destroyed one another was ready to take its place. It looked as if the rock cretaures were trying to get the gem that was imbedded on the white creature's chest. Guess they were attracted to stones.

Vazi felt his instincts flare up in him. He didn't like o see others being assaulted or hurt so he furrowed his brow and tuned to Arkrael. "That thing is being attacked by the golems! We have to help!" A plan probably would have been the best course of action but with the situation already looking dire for the yeti, Vazi wasn't really wanting a plan. He wanted action! So, with his gem turning red to match the anger he felt towards the golems for attacking this thing he raced downwards to the thing's aid. Not looking back to see if Arkrael had followed or not.

He could feel his gemstone tingle for a moment but then it stopped. No feeling of vigor washed over him but that didn't badger him any. He kept charging forward until he was down on the same level as the golems and creature. He made sure to keep out of range of the flailing arms and attempted to dash out of the way of falling debris. He didn't quite know what he would do now though... He hadn't thought this through very well... He supposed he would just have to try and get the golems' attention.

So the male let out an angered bleat and yelled, "Hey! You nasty golems! Leave that poor fellow alone!" To try and further get their attention he rushed forward towards one of the golems and turned to give it a swift kick with his hind legs, he didn't know if it connected or not but he at least hoped it would get one of them away.

"Speech" Thoughts
Listening intently to the deer, Arkrael could not help but wonder why she had not even thought to think about the magic that their gems harbored. There was no doubt in her mind the gems that was very much a part of them was the key to their magic. It had to be, right? A grin slipped over her muzzle as she continued listening to Vazi. When the deer spoke Tamelyn's name, however, her gaze quickly swung over towards him with a wide grin. Her tail reacted just as quickly, lifting and beginning to wag with joy. So this deer knew HER dear! That, somehow, did not surprise Arkrael in the slightest. Just as she was about to answer Vazi a loud, ground shaking roar split through the cave. Arkrael's breath stuck in her throat as she could feel the sudden change of vibrations within the earth she stood upon.

Her head swung around, eyes wide with a flicker of fear as she quickly searched for what had caused such a sound. Arkrael was frozen as her eyes settled on the white beast that was being attacked. Even while he was being attacked this creature was demolishing one Golem after another. Strong fists were smashing them, sending pieces of the golems in all directions from the impact of it's punch. When Ice suddenly formed, covering over several of the golems, shock quickly over took her fear and she instantly sucked in a breath. It was only then that she noticed the gem upon the creatures chest. The gem that those Golems were desperately trying to reach. There were so many of the Golems desperately trying to reach the creature no matter how many he crushed with his hands. He needed help. But...who were two young gembounds to even attempt taking on such a high mass of golems who were practically invincible? And then what of this white beast? She had never seen anything like it. Was it a friend who would thank them for their assistance. Or would it be trying to dig it's big dangerous fangs into them?

All these thoughts swarmed through ARkrael's mind and just as she was about to try and make up her mind the deer beside he shouted out that they had to help. It went against every preserving instinct Arkrael had, but it was too late to respond with anything. The deer bolted away from their position, racing right towards the golems and started yelling at them. Kicking them. No. No that was too close! They couldn't be that close to them! "No don't!" She cried out as her paws instantly began rushing her along. Sprinting after Vazi in a frantic rush. She knew that creature needed help, but they couldn't give it. There was no way they could even get a scratch on those golems! AT least...that's how it was when she first encountered a much smaller one. No matter what they had done the thing kept moving undeterred.

"Wait!" Again she attempted to call out for the deer, but he just wouldn't let up. Fear coursed through her, but something else was stronger. A hot rush of a sensation that fueled her, pushed her on faster as she was. A need to protect. She had only just met Vazi, but something just lit up inside her. She would not leave this deer on his own to face off with the Golems, or even the Yeti that was still smashing away at them. The moment her paws reached the edge of the now empty river, every last instinct for her not to do what she was about to do was ignore. She lunged in, desperate to get to Vazi so she could haul him right out of the pit of golems. This was not the way to help the Golem. Throwing yourself in the middle of a bunch of golems eager to get to the stone on the white creature was a sure way to get yourself killed.

The magic would draw the golems attention to her, she knew this, but she had to at least prevent those things from getting their strange arms on Vazi, If he was at all even successful in pulling their attention away from. She would not allow harm to come to him. Just as she was about to get to Vazi a strange sensation suddenly struck her. A high frequency vibration suddenly emitted from the stone upon her chest and all of a sudden her world went dark. Pain exploded through her very core. So much that she didn't feel it instantly. She floated in this sudden darkness, confused as her subconscious form looked around almost desperately. And then just as quickly a bright light pierced through the darkness and her world came right back to her. A strangled, high pitched cry suddenly escaped her and she went falling forward. Tumbling along the ground until she was left to skid across the riverbed floor a good few feet until she ultimately collided into the legs of a golem.

The pain consumed her. Stealing her breath away until she felt like she could not take in the needed oxygen to make her lungs work. She couldn't think straight. Couldn't gain her bearings even in the slightest to realized just how much trouble her current situation was in. Pain grasped at her all over, not one inch of her free of the wrenching pain that only served to make her cry out once more. All the while her body was motionless, unable to move much even a little as the pain continued to wave through her. Would this be it? Was this pain going to cause her world to go dark again? This couldn't be it. Her mind was in a scattered mess due to the sudden excruciating pain, but one word seemed to flutter around constantly.

Help...

Svarog was oblivious to the presence of the two Gembounds. Even as the deer had come running up to divert the attention of the golems, the yeti was far too preoccupied trying to pluck them from his body. They continued to climb, piling up on one another, reaching longingly at the gem embedded in his breast. A thunderous roar erupted from his chest again and he continued swinging blindly at them, smashing every golem his massive fists came in contact with.

The golem that Vazi had kicked only stumbled backwards a couple steps, then its components ground against each other and its boulders turned to face the deer. It began to lumber towards him, as did three other golems in the vicinity after sensing the use of his magic.

One of the golems headed towards the deer was interrupted when a flurry of black fur came tumbling down the dam at its legs. It stumbled, too, but only slightly. With a magical creature before it, the golem reached out towards the gleaming opal in her chest. The rocks that comprised its arms swung at her, trying to dislodge the stone. It would miss this one time, but the golem swung its arm backwards again, winding up for another strike.

VAZI HASIRA
"shattered innocence"

Vazi's kick had connected but it hardly did more than make the creature stumble but soon it was after him. The stag crouched but limbered his legs up, ready to bounce in either direction in case the creature wanted to try and make a grab for him. This never happened though as the golem's attention was attracted by something else. Vazi's ear flicked in a new direction as the sound of rolling and stumbling reached him. What was that?

He turned and saw that it was the black wolf. It had stumbled down the incline after him and landed near a golem. Apparently she tried to used some magic because the golems began to stumble after her. However, her magic must have gone bad because the wolf let out a cry of pain. A cry that reached into Vazi's very heart. He didn't like to hear others in pain, he would do anything to help them. It was even worse when said creature had done nothing but try to help him find his friend then rushed headlong down the slop after him. He couldn't let things happen this way!

Time seemed to move in slow motion as the golem lunged its arm towards her. With no time to think and no regards to his own safety he rushed forwards towards the golems arm. His lowered as he powered over and under other golems straight to the one that was assaulting the wolf. He didn't have any notable antlers yet and while he did have little bumps, they were hardly enough for fighting.

He didn't care. He just wanted to protect the wolf and by doing that he would throw himself under the bus. His head connected with the golem's arm and hopefully knocked it away with the force of his run. However, with such force it backfired. He had no cushion in the form of real antlers so when he hit his head it hurt. Not only did it hurt but it caused him to stumble in a daze. He fell to his knees with the world swimming around him. He saw the golems, heard the powerful roars of the monster under attack and next to him saw the wolf. This was all his fault... He shouldn't have just rushed in.

Right before he lost consciousness he looked to her and said, "I'm sorry..." Then he was lost to the world as his body fell limp to the ground.

Assaulted by the deer, the golem's arm burst from the rest of its body. The boulders that comprised that limb scattered across the ground, causing the golem to teeter. Its rocks again ground against each other as it turned to face the deer, but the deer had already fallen to the ground. The golem paused, and then slowly began to turn back to the wolf-

SMASH!

A gargantuan swinging fist knocked the golem away, scattering it into several stray pieces. A thunderous roar erupted from Svarog, slamming his massive fists on the ground as he stood over the two Gembounds. A heavy snort escaped his flared nostrils, a furious snarl contorting his face. The rest of the golems hesitated. There was a sense of magic burning so brightly in front of them. They had no self preservation - as intimidating as the yeti was, they didn't stop. Svarog grunted, quickly gathering the two unconscious Gembounds in his hands. He cradled them in one arm, using the other to swing blindly at the golems that had begun to clamor at his legs again. As soon as he was free from their grasp, the monster fled with the Gembounds in his arms.

"Speech" Thoughts
Everything was happening quick around her. Her ears rung unpleasantly, her body hurt as if an explosion had went off deep inside of her. She couldn't move. Helplessly she lay there, her vision nearly completely blurred as she saw something running right towards her. Her vision continued to fade in and out and just as the deer smacked it's head into the reaching golem's arm Arkrael had only just barely seen the arm go flying away from her. A pained groan escaped her and she had to closer her eyes. There was nothing she could do. She couldn't hear Vazi anymore, or even the grating of rocks as they ground against each other while Golems moved and twisted.

It wasn't long before she felt herself be scooped up by something. Her eyes fluttered open once again, just barely catching the view of white fur she was now held against. She tried to look up, to try and see what it was, but the exhaustion quickly clawed at her consciousness. Overwhelming pain vibrated throughout her and she found that she no longer wanted to fight the ever biting unconsciousness. So with one last whine, Arkrael's eyes slowly slid shut and unconsciousness quickly washed her world into complete and utter darkness.
