Blackberry waddled into the tunnel that she had so few pleasant memories in (except for the one where she broke that accursed mutt's leg, oh yes, that was a good one). Despite having let so much time pass, she still worried a little bit that Kera would be there, waiting for her. However, it seemed that she had least had enough luck to be alone for now.

Canis had been a waste of time. What a disgusting place. She was never going back there again and get all dirty. No, the thought ruffled in her feathers. She'd find a better place to stay.

Besides, there had been a message - the Three Kings of Orion were offering cool spells in exchange for colored rocks. It was all extremely ridiculous, but Blackberry couldn't help but think about how cool it would be to have bat wings. They would be terrifying. They would inspire fear in her enemies. She would be even more powerful then ever!

Yes, she needed to find a red stone. But so far, her search had only turned up a small crystal that was barely red at all. Determined, her search continued.

How dare the stones be so hard to find? Why the heck was she having so much trouble anyways in a cave like this? Weren't there gems and crystals so abundant they were literally growing on every creature in the caves? Ridiculous, so ridiculous. Her search was going very poorly and it was making her very annoyed. Finally, Blackberry came across a stone. It was small and kind of pale, but it was still a red stone, right? Would it be enough? Those idiot kings would probably be really picky, though. She took it anyways and set it aside - maybe if she didn't find anything else, she could take that one. But either way, she needed to continue her search.

Finally, as she was searching and searching, Blackberry's beady eyes caught sight of a glimmering red gem caught on the wall. She quickly turned towards it and fluttered up to a nearby ledge. She pecked at the rock around the gem until it came lose enough for her to grab in her beak and pull out of the wall. Please that she had managed to find a gem so quickly, she jumped down back to the floor.

Now that she had her red gem, she turned towards the Orion entrance, ready to present it to the 'king' in Orion. She would have some cool red wings, right? She'd be terrifying!
