QUESTS/EVENTS
Torrential downpours cause localized flooding and many upset cats. Along with these frequent rain, from gentle drizzles to heavy rainfall, there seems to be a flux of Magicka drawn in particular to water sources. Occasional jet streams of warm air make narrower tunnels harder to navigate. On occasion, the rain intensifies, becoming howling storms with sleet or large hail. However, the temperatures overall are a little warmer, with snow and ice in temperate caves somewhat receding.

Azar It's a new world
It's a new start
And it's alive with the beating of a young heart
Azar hurried over to Alnilam, his gemstone clattering about as he carried it in his jaws. "Look!" he cried out joyously,"look! Look!" He skidded to a halt and placed the gemstone carefully on the floor."Isn't it fantastic?" he asked proudly, pushing it towards her. "'Here you go, it's for you! I found it by a stream, among some pebbles. It's great, isn't it?" He tilted his furry head. The gemstone lay on the floor, glistening.
Widget with his mouth full of yellow stone, followed behind his similarly sized friend as the pup led the way back to where he'd first seen the bird kings.
Upon squeezing into the space in the wall, Ringo immediately made towards the blue-eyed bird.
They were nothing like what Widget was expecting, all swirls of stardust and darkness with hues of red, yellow and blue respectively.
He approached the yellow-eyed bird, not knowing its name, and proceeded to set his three stones on the floor before him.
"Ringo said you'd give us wings if we gave you stones to match your eyes." Well, that and he'd heard their announcement- but Ringo deserved the credit here.
It must have been a funny sight as Xireidi ambled up to the gathering, mouth desperately trying to keep hold of three very different interpretations of "yellow stone". When finally he got near the three birds he lowered head with some small dree of respect and dropped the items before Alnilam. A yellow crystal, a river stone glowing with a yellow light, and a golden colored metal rod of some kind.
"I hope these will do as entries in your contest." he spoke simply before reversing course to join the other loitering gembound in the area.

He didn't fly over, far too much baggage on him with choosing not to use his Magick to carry the two stones over to the gathering for the risk of failure feeling surprisingly pusillanimous to the thought of messing a Spell that great beings he's on his way to seeing could witness. So Albeon has the smaller gold stone safely tucked in his scarf loop that coils around his neck. The other which he was gifted was pretty big, and so he had to use the long part of his fabric that trails everywhere he went and wrapped it around the gold Gem in a lot of layers like covering a wound in bandages and tied it in a very tight knot. This one was so large it had some weight to it dragged the rest of the extended scarf to the ground and had to move with some physical labour, so the vast gem doesn't get him stuck to a spot like Albeon has been shackled to a ball and chain. Fitting he is bound by something after all, by guilt with the occasional arrogance that dares to rise above Albeon's bubble of guilt.
Arriving to see a huge crowd already gathered to offer their stones and he carefully makes way for Alnilam giving them the gems he's collected for them. Now like a fragile wrapped present he gently tries to untie the knot on his scarf so he can give the larger one, sheening pure gold to them. It was some challenge, so he opted to push the Gem from the sides that didn't have the confusing coils of his scarf wrapped around, which got it out the fabric, choosing to untie the ugly knot that makes his scarf look so tatty now later with his Magick. With his beak he plucks the polished, so polished it may look more like a shard of gold-tinted glass stead; golden stone out from his neck and offers both, nodding at Alnilam and just goes to take his leave already.

Dezba didn't care how stupid she looked. With a mouth chocked full of red stones, she strided up to the three birds, tail high with pride. Dezba released the five stones from her jaws and rolled out onto the floor, covered in drool. Dirt clung to the saliva that coated them, but it did not obscure their brilliant red color.
Dezba was giddy with excitement, but when her turn came, she forced herself to be stoic.
"For you, Alnitak." She bowed, pushing the red stones forward with her snout.

Thud... Thud.. THUD!
It was quite the sight. A large python rolling a rock the size of the tunnel runner with nothing but his long body. It took some skill, and a lot of effort. Septiezal pushed the stone on this side, allowing himself to fall on top of it. He opened his jaws and two other yellow stones fell out. Clearly fatigued, the python's sides heaved as he caught his breath.
"Two pebblesss.. " He wheezed before sliding off the giant rock. "And one big one you can crush in many stones if you want, I don't care."
And with that, Septiezal slither away towards the other Gembounds.

The pain in his paw was starting to turn dull. He could some pressure on it but not a whole lot. But the injury was worth it for wings like Mintaka's. The jaguar cub stumbled past the other Gembounds with his head held high. His obsidian heart pulsed with excitement and giddy anticipation. He clambered up to Mintaka and placed the two blue stones before the wonderful bird.
Aztec stared up at him, his yellow eyes bright with admiration. "I can have wings like you now, right?" He chirped happily. Hardly containing his eagerness, he bounced back to the other Gembounds. He was going to be like them now.
With small but sharp fangs caarefully gripping the smooth surface of the stone they'd found, Gabriel returned to the three ancient birds with their step high and gaze focused. The stone they had found was blue, and as they entered the kings' roost, the small dog paid the red-eyed and golden-eyed bird not a single glance. They moved straight for Mintaka, and carefully bowed their head to deposit the icy blue stone at their ghostly feet.
Their head bowed as they stretched one forepaw out behind them in a display of respect. They nudged the stone closer with their muzzle, smile showing against their furless face.
"I hope my offering is sufficient, My Lord," Gabriel flattered, choosing their words carefully, before backing away and settling back on their haunches close by, casting a glance around at the other assembled Gembounds.
Kin-Kin limped back to the three waiting birds, her jaws this time bustling with three crystals that she'd made. This time though, she seemed fairly disgruntled, her hackles bristling and this time she didn't make quite so much of an effort to show off. She deposited her load before Alnilam, bringing her total to five. Then, the she-wolf stretched out and yawned casually, bustling away and making a conscious effort to hide her limp.
Although her demeanor was somewhat sour and her glow was dull, she still held an aura of pride as she wove through assembled gembounds, flashing her lashes at any who happened to look.
She slid away in between the buildings, back towards the alcove she'd claimed for a den, ready for a good nap.
The draconian-lupine has returned, and she had so many stones this time, so much she's surprisingly treading very slowly this to ensure that no overstep with cause the rocks to spill out and skitter downwards the thought of that happening was haunting to Rina. These also already have chafed at her scales, and it did hurt a little this time as they all gleamed like sharp blades.
Once again she arrived at the brother's grotto and approached Mintaka again, on her back, she unstraps her wings, as she carefully tried to let all the larger ones slide off the membrane sideways which spilt a lot of colours of blue, white crystal clear all intended for Mintaka. Carefully sprinkling all the smaller ones that had the same tint all over the pile of her gifts to them as she pushed the horde of blue and white stones with her wing to Mintaka.
She was about to address Mintaka again respectfully, but in the darkness, she saw something from the corner of her peripherals something that looked eerily familiar in this night. Blood-red eyes and pink, canid just like her.
The memory finally clicked, and Rinaotei's stoicism briefly betrayed a look of widened eyes from realising who they were which made her instead just hastily turn to Mintaka and deeply bow quickly to them in her respect and immediately took her leave. She didn't run for she didn't want to open display that something in the cavern was somewhat troubling to Rinaotei. She'll be keeping an eye though on the cavern though in case that one that deceived her the last time tries anything on the other Gembound.
