Equinox strode into Orion, leaving prints of black slime trailing all the way back along the route she'd taken to get here from Cetus. Occasional drips echoed through the dark, quiet city that she found herself wandering through, her tall swan-like neck ached against her chest; and in her great jaws she carried a small leaf, and in that leaf contained a tiny life.

With gentle rumbles causng the world around to reverberate mildly, Equinox finally came to a halt. She could not see the world around her, but she knew that the buildings were densely packed enough that Pippy would easily be able to find shelter. With a quiet rumble, the great dragon slowly lowered her head, laying her tiny burden against the ground. The leaf unfurled as she let go, and rose up to her full height again. Equinox stepped back into the dark, her bejeweled eye flashing from the shadows.

She could not stay long, she knew that; her toxic-looking slime had grown thick, and it seeped from her pores with less vigour than usual. She was hungry, and she needed to satisfy the craving she was slave to. She would stay just long enough to ensure that Pippy was safe, and then she'd go. Perhaps she would return to Cetus, or go out to seek a new safe haven.

She felt she'd explored all the caves enough to know that havens were few and far between for one like her.

The tiny life transported on the leaf Equinox has ahold of wasn't paying attention much as Pippy took a nap on it just around the time Equinox set off for Orion. While it was very nice to make a new friend even if Equinox is humongous to Pippy, which made her extremely frightened of Equinox when she first sighted them, especially after the whole ordeal that took place before seeing them. That and the darkness that is consuming the light in the world which is just terrifying to Pippy as to not knowing where she is, Pippy has taken entirely the toll which has led to some exhaustion and took this chance to have a quick nap. Her little form curled up comfortably, as the small bat's chest rose and fell rhythmically with each teensy breath of hers.

The moment Equinox stopped in their movements however it was enough to make Pippy stir from their nap, opening her eyes and blinked sleepily. But then her eyes were open entirely when she could see something; light! Not bright, pretty dim actually but Pippy could see her surroundings! She saw a wholly new place, instead of a forest or swamp place with lots of toxic looking water that had fog all around it, she could see what's in front of her and ahead even with just this weak light. Instead, there was a lot of really tall, still buildings that fascinated Pippy although from how tall they all were maybe a little daunting for Pippy too, they are like massive skyscrapers to Pippy.

Pippy gives a brief look at Equinox curiously, and as she was lowered down to the ground she begun swinging her head around a lot as the young bat wasn't expecting that, but she supposes that means that this is Orion. Slowly but surely crawling off the leaf as it rolled itself out like a green carpet before her, inspecting her now new home curiously to see if it'll be fitting for her. To find her place that'll be her haven, Pippy's own glowing-flying-thing free hideout.

Looking back to where Equinox was when she felt some small tremors underneath her to see them backing away, soon only seeing their Gem.

Pippy beamed at them while waving rather happily, bringing her wings out like she has them hugging something invisible. It was more or less her attempt of a air hug as Pippy wanted to embrace Equinox earlier with her wings, but she knew that might get them scared or upset that the slime is on her coat again. Don't worry; she's OK now although Pippy is grateful to Equinox for sticking around with her and taking her to Orion.

Pippy finds a tiny hole in one of the walls and quickly goes climbing to it using her sharp thumbs. Inside the wall's small tunnel was an alcove that is rather spacious although the rocky floor could be better, perhaps since she can apparently grow plants with her Magick, she could do some decorating to make this look homier. Peeking her head out of the hole she sees Equinox again and chirps happily at them.

Her shape shrouded in the dark, Equinox peered at the tiny shape of the bat through their fragmented gaze. she saw them wave their tiny wing her way, and rumbled quietly, the sound reverberating through the ground at her feet, and her chest throbbing slightly with the sound produced beneath.

the great being continued to watch, occasional sound of thick fluid dripping interrupting the undulating voice of her voice. She watched as the tiny creature picked her way towards a crumbling stone wall, her eye tracing their movements as they found their way inside. Equinox bowed her long swan neck slowly, blowing out a hot breath that gurgled through the slime pooling in her nostrils.

She knew now that the little one was safe; they'd found a home amidst the rocks, somewhere that no large creature would find their way into. And Equinox knew that the lack of mist here would allow the little one to see anything large coming, or the stony streets to hear its footsteps from miles away.

Without a word, Equinox began to turn, her legs bending beneath her weight as she began to walk away, leaving a trail of pitch-black slime in her wake. Her rumbles followed in the darkness behind her before they, too, were lost to the distance.

Pippy didn't look around frantically too much when he searched for his new haven as he was aware Equinox was still about keeping an eye on him the sound they made in response when he waved at them cheerfully showed they were here in Orion and hadn't left. When he did peek his head out out the hole whilst chirping he waved both of his wings at Equinox to signal to them where he was, his wave was casual so it didn't look like a signal for help.

It indeed was right that it will be a bit more of a challenge to a giant creature to try and get him and bring significant harm, the wall will be hard to dig to get even an eye to look inside. Not to add the limited space between the walls means glowing-flying-things will be liable to crash into these buildings if one was to chase him to his den. While with his small size he'll be able to loop around the structures, of course, he needs to learn to fly first, although Zeno did mention something about a 'click' the last time this place was in darkness.

Now that he remembers, Zeno said Pippy could find them here if he wanted to see them, maybe he could find them somewhere. Pippy recalled about wanting to give Zeno a crystal that doesn't belong to a Gembound as a present since they don't have a Gem on them despite being able to talk, perhaps some quartz here on the ceiling could make them happier. Pippy considers all these, and he does need to make his new home more beautiful and cosy too maybe he could search for some materials in an outing when he feels more confident about his safety.

He watches Equinox turn to leave, his ears drooped a little with some sadness for them parting, but it is subtle as he does accept that Equinox had things they need to do maybe even if he's going to miss them despite the likeness they'll meet again. With a sad looking smile he gives one slow wave towards the sizeable retreating form to say bye, before withdrawing back inside to get some actual sleep. His tiny form is curling up first trying to find a spot that's comfy which was a little hard first with this cold, rocky floor, but at least it's warmer than Cetus here in Orion. Sure enough, he went into the land of dreams as his breathing started to become even with each little breath making his chest rise and fall again.
