Moving quickly after finishing his stolen meal, Aka went back to Polaris, moving into the next tunnel he saw, not wanting t risk going anywhere near Kera. She might kill him for stealing. She might eat him. She certainly could, if she wanted to. Shaking his head at the thought, Aka had kept moving. Into a new room, one that was wet, and where the air was heavy. Aka moved through the room, taloned feet taking him to small, dirty ponds. He could smell the fish here. There was no moving water, and Aka felt confident that he could catch a fish without drowning this time.

Standing at the edge of a larger pond, Aka was hesitant to get in deeper. But all the fish seemed to stay closer to the middle. The owl waded out into deeper waters, cringing at the cold feel of the water. A silvery wriggle in the water came closer to the owl, and Aka would've grinned. Sticking his leg out, he clutched the fish tightly, moving back to shore to eat his prize.

Happily digging into his meal, Aka was satisfied. He could feed himself. He just hoped that he wouldn't run into that Kera girl again. She'd probably kill him for stealing her mouse. Aka decided it was time to learn to fly. Or at least try. He needed to be able to get away from the dumb wolf.

Turning from his half-finished meal, the owl looked for a place to get a running start. Finally, he found one in between two larger ponds. Aka ran, his talons scraping over the rocks and dirt. He spread his wings and began to flap, his wings lifting him from the ground. He wobbled as he soared higher, but steadied himself. He was flying.

Giving a hoot of excitement at his success, Aka banked left towards where his meal was waiting.

Swooping down towards his meal, Aka tried to land perfectly. Taking off was easy enough, he found out, but what about landing? His feet open and ready to catch the ground, however one did that, Aka glided downwards, gracefully landing about two feet from his meal. Happy with himself, he went back to his meal and continued eating. He'd practice flying again later. After food.

Finishing up his fish, Aka decided it was time for a nap. He walked around for a short while, before finding a small groove to sleep in. Curling up inside, he fell asleep quickly. His belly was full and he had successfully flown. The owl was content.
