Yuma As the dark essence came into view Yuma backed out of the tunnel, curious at this bizarre entity. What had been a metaphor for a sound quickly became reality as the creeping black appeared to take an interest in the talking snake that had appeared behind them. "No insult is meant, visitor." he spoke, eying the levitating pebble. Of course, this was not yet their group's territory so it wasn't quite right to refer to the snake as such, but it was close enough most likely. "Your formless friend seems to have been busy" The small aye aye leaned in slightly as the entity turned its apparent attention toward the non-serpentine members of their little gathering. Could it talk? Could it think? Could it feel? What a curious little anomaly; definitely worth the trip out here.

The shifting ooze startled Septiezal at first. He lurched his head back and gave it a hiss. Wha-- what is that?! He eyed it cautiously as it appeared to pick up a pebble-like object and offer it to him.

Septiezal hissed at the albino aye-aye's remark. "It's not my friend."

He glanced back to the substance, which now seemed to be looking at the others. Is it sentient? Septiezal wondered. Is it dangerous? His thoughts raced like scurrying cave mice.

Septiezal inched his head closer and flicked his tongue tto identify its scent, if it had any.

Aeroth flicked her ears back at the serpents' earlier question. "It's definitely recent, I don't know how recent though." Her eyes widened slightly and she backed away though at the sight of the black liquid drippping down from the mouth of the cave, backing away from it warily. "What in the caves could that be..?"
