QUESTS/EVENTS
Torrential downpours cause localized flooding and many upset cats. Along with these frequent rain, from gentle drizzles to heavy rainfall, there seems to be a flux of Magicka drawn in particular to water sources. Occasional jet streams of warm air make narrower tunnels harder to navigate. On occasion, the rain intensifies, becoming howling storms with sleet or large hail. However, the temperatures overall are a little warmer, with snow and ice in temperate caves somewhat receding.
Khloros watched. He watched the cub fail--watched the plague take a tentative hold.
Perhaps this is, then, not his fate. Perhaps he is to die.
But no; the cub took control, purged the out-of-control disease from within, and tried again. Khloros felt it, saw it, tamed and twisted down into a knot of controlled illness, pulsing within the cub's gem, powerful and ready. He snorted softly in approval.
Layla was scared. The swamps of Cetus held a funny, foreign smell. It smelled dangerous. The cub followed the nasty smell, following it until it grew stronger. The snow leopard looked up, her bauble on her neck still even though the light had returned. In the distance was a foul looking horse, and it reeked. Layla moved towards it quickly, almost a white blur.
"Why are you spreading this nasty smell, evil thing!?" She demanded, her nose wrinkled in disgust.
The tiger cub smirked, feeling the disease writhe within his Gem. This was perfect, what were the chances he'd meet this horse upon Hatching? He didn't believe in coincidences, so he planned on using this to the best of his abilities.
He met the horse's eyes, tail twitching. "I am Bahamut. And who are you, Plague-Bringer?" But then there was another Gembound approaching, a youngling somewhat older than him. The cub snarled, baring his fangs.
And then a second white cat was there--a blur, and then present, demanding, insisting. He snorted softly in some surprise, shuffling to face her, hooves squelching in the swampy earth.
Another..? Though this one does not sound quite so enthusiastic.
Khloros eyed the newcomer. "It is death. A mercy, granted to those trapped within these caves, and the cycle of rebirth and abuse." He shook out his mane, and looked away; he had much yet to do.
But it was more than possible that the cubs would have more questions, and so he waited--just for a moment--to see.
Layla snorted. Life was great, why would he want to end it? Nobody she knew suffered, so why kill them? It was all very confusing, and Layla didn't like it.
"Well then, stop spreading it!" She growled, angry now. She couldn't have some jerk contaminating her and Dragon's swamps! It angered her to no end that this Khloros thought he could just waltz on in here and kill everything.

Bahamut
Khloros? Hmm... he liked that name. He approved. It fit the Plague-Bringer. Yes, that would do nicely for the Plague-Bringer.
The psychopathic tiger cub bristled as Khloros spoke to the other feline cub, tail lashing and fur rising along his hackles. What did this cat know about disease? "If you aren't going to help us, you have no reason to be here." he growled lowly, gem gleaming as he attempted to release Khloros' disease into the air.
Khloros listened, and then turned away, indifferent.
"You will see, given time." It was said with a sad tone; he wished it were not so, but he knew his purpose, and the true nature of the caves. He knew why he was here. Why he had been brought here.
The angry cub would spread his plague, or it would not. The other angry cub would stop it, or die. He would leave them to their devices... leave them to fate. Unless, of course, they followed him.
I hope they do not harm one another now. It will do no good; it will serve no end. It will come to no good.
The diseased horse moved off into the thin fog, and into the darkness of Cetus. Unless one or both cubs followed him away, he would simply drift further into the swamp, granting his gift to the rats here before moving on entirely.

Layla was beyond angry. These two were just bullies, and they were ruining her swamp. Spreading nastiness and death. The snow leopard growled and snarled at the other cub.
"Stop and go away! Leave my swamp alone!" Layla growled, her tail flicking back and forth.
Bahamut, although he would not admit it, was taken aback when Khloros turned, and left. He bristled, tail flicking angrily, and snapped "Where are you going, plague horse!?" Although that didn't seem to do much, as the horse - Khloros, he'd said - had vanished into the mists.
The tiger cub rumbled a growl, looking back at the Clouded Leopard with a sneer. "You can have your swamp, for now." and with that he would whirl, stalking off after Khloros into the mists.
