The small ermine laid in a fetal position inside his small blue chrysalis. He opened his eyes slowly for the first time, seeing a would of color outside of his transparent blue home. Of course, it was all blurry, but the world of Polaris was pretty no matter what. Little white paws scratched at the inner surface of the chrysalis, struggling to get to the pretty lights.

Scratch after scratch gave him a big enough hole to slip out of. Blinking to adjust to the world with air, the arctic ermine coughed up a little slimy stuff, then took his first breath.

"Tha's better." He told himself, his accent clearly poking through. He shook himself lightly, licking his nose. Ouch. The tiny rhino horn on his nose cut his little pink tongue a bit. Shaking his head, the ermine looked around.

"This... this is Polaris. An' I'm Ragnarok. Yeah, Rags. Tha' works."

Azar lifted his head in fascination as he heard the distinct yet familiar scrambling noise which indicated that another gembound was hatching. His tail beginning to wag happily, he followed his nose over to the source of the noise. When he saw Ragnarok, his eyes glistened in eager curiosity.
"YAY! A new gembound! I can't believe I get to meet someone else so quickly." Azar approached Ragnarok hopefully. "Hey there, my name's Azar, and it's a real pleasure to meet you. I hope we can be great friends!" It hadn't been long since the young fox's encounter with Envy, but he was always excited to make a new friend, especially someone who was so kind and gentle-looking. Azar really hoped that he would manage to gain this gembound's trust.

Soon, a larger creature approached. Rags's tail wagged, although he wasn't sure if that was normal.

"Hey. I'm Ragnarok, but yuh can call me Rags." He replied. "Pleasure to meet ya Azar." Rags was excited, and it was clearly seen. His eyes sparkled with excitement and wonder as he stared up at the fox. Man, that deep voice really did not suit that tiny little Ermine. But it was kinda funny.

"So, wha's this place? I know its Polaris, but where are we?"

Azar looked kind of embarrassed when Rags asked him this, purely because he was still pretty young and therefore didn’t know much about Polaris yet either. "To be honest, I’m probably not the gembound you should ask about Polaris," He admitted, "I didn’t hatch all that long ago myself. All I try to do is make everybody happy, and make friends. You see, I’m not the type of gembound that cares where I am or where I’m going. I’m really sorry, Rags, but I can always try and find out for you!" Azar really liked Ragnarok, he was a kind gembound and very fascinating. And, for once, they seemed to have instantly accepted Azar as a friend. Azar liked everyone, especially his friends, but often it took a while for others to warm up to him. "Let’s be best friends, Rags, okay?" He wagged his shaggy orange tail furiously.

Reighn had heard the voices and was headed their way carefully, attempting to hide behind an outcropping of rock, her very small body being able to hide behind a large pebble if she felt like it. Reighn took in the sight of the small white creature and the big russet red and white creature that kinda looked like her. Suddenly, she started to go forward but her feet carried her on their own accord, and up to the two creatures. She stood with her chin high and her feet planted offensively as she waited for them to say something. And then her curiosity got the better of her. She started to circle the white creature, him in the ribs and chasing his tail.

Azar eyed this unusual creature, surprise I’m his eyes. Who was it, and why was it here? "Hello, my name is Azar, what’s yours?" His tail wagged, as gaze flickered from the new person to Rags and back to the new person again. As he looked, his tail wagged even more furiously. He hoped one of them would try speak to him.

Felina didn't expect to find herself in Polaris. It's more like she was drawn there. She'd never felt so much...energy? She couldn't put a name to it.

Despite her duties for the Marrowbound Kingdom, she felt that she had to find out where the strange...albeit pleasant...feeling came from. She entered Polaris' core. The brightness showed three Gembounds. One of the three was very young. His scent was male, but his fur color was the whitest white she'd ever seen (Ragnarok). A male fox (Azar) was present, too.

She also caught a Gembound behaving quite strangely (Reighn). That one was female. The runty female bobcat approached, but kept the required distance between herself and the other three Gembounds.

"Um...excuse me...my name is Felina. Is everything OK here?" She was merely curious about all three of the other Gembounds.

Oh. Oh wow. There were so many Gembounds! Azar the fox, some new thing that looked kinda like a fox, and another thing who called herself Felina.

"I'm Ragnarok!
You ca' call me Rags. I'm a Arctic Ermine. And yeah, we're okay."He said in that velvety deep Southern voice of his. There were so many creatures. He wanted be friends with them all!

Azar was overwhelmed, there were now so many gembounds with him and Ragnarok. He lifted his muzzle proudly, feebly attempting to make a good impression. "All of us, being friends?" His tail wagged uncontrollably as his ears pricked, delighted. "I’d love for us all to be friends! The greatest of friends!" The young fox smiled widely, it was usually him who was asking people to be his friend, not normally the other way around. He was pleased that he, at last, was able to answer the question rather than ask it. "Me, I’m Azar," He yipped, "But I don’t mind, you can call me whatever you like!"

For the very first time since her Hatching, Felina smiled with genuine happiness. "I'd be very glad to be a friend to both of you. I'm a bobcat."

Then she looked at the third Gembound (Reighn). "Why did you try to hit Ragnarok's ribs? That's quite an odd thing to do." She wasn't sure that she'd get an answer, but she hoped it wouldn't hurt to ask.
