The whole cave seemed to be getting hotter and hotter. The thick fur the lynx was born with wasn't coping well. Panting, Fallah headed towards the river where magic practice was easy due to the river. There wasn't much the lynx planned to do other than just cast things to cool off for the time being. Stopping to drink a large amount of water, Fallah thought of how there seemed to be many gembounds she never met. It didn't bother her, she liked to be alone to some extent, but she just thought that there must be a hundred of them. The feline felt herself lucky to have a good friend like Fisher and a moo friend like Sadie. Both were very nice, but even then, she would wander away from them. Was there something wrong with the lynx? Did other gembounds travel in large groups, or did they mostly go alone? Fallah had to wonder about the other parts of the cave. Polaris, Erandus, and Cetus were the only places she had ever been, but there was more right? Definitely there was , Fallah had seen the caves to them. Maybe that's where the other gembounds were.

Standing, Fallah tried to forget her troubles. It was time to get cool. Fallah started off by trying to form a ice circle. Not a round, but an empty circle, one that could be filled with water and it would be cool and nice to lay in or play in.

The ice rolled up and over Fallah, like it normally did, but instead of moving further, it came crashing down towards the lynx, freezing just as it touched her fur. Trapped. Fallah was Trapped. Any time the feline moved, it's fur was pulled, causing a sharp pain to spread across her skin. How thick was this ice? Could she melt it? Feeling helpless, Fallah let out a small mewl.

The rogue-ish cub found himself plodding back to Polaris. This place was majestic to the boy. The clusters of rock which made up the area threw around reflections of light that delighted the cub. Currently, Usui was slinging his old, worn makeshift leather satchel across his chest and back. Recently, the boy was carrying a small collection of pebbles with him. They were part of his pebble stories series and no place was missed by the lad. In fact, he had the audacity to constantly ask friendlier gembounds to engage in his glorious story telling activity together with him.

Once more, the young, aspiring scholar tried to seek out other lifeforms. Concentrating, he tried to push his magic out to see if anyone was nearby. He sensed a light gem - the feeling was blue, a light blue, very much like Quix's yet different. Immediately, the cub drew out a mental map of where this gembound was located. Picking up his pace, the lion moved closer to the crystal river. His pale green eyes first caught sight of the marvellously deep water, then a mewing cat trapped in ice from her shoudler to limb. Horrified, the cub dashed over, powerful young paws propelling a chubby body forward. He stretched onto his hindlegs and placed his forepaws onto the ice and scabbled at it but to no avail. His sharp claws left sharp scratch marks in the ice but it did not help.

"What happened?" The boy asked the cat a question before he dropped his sling to a ground and picked out the sharpest rock in his bag. A lovely memory was etched on it, but Usui knew it meant nothing when there was a life to save. Gripping the sharp edged rock in his teeth, the boy started to chink! chink! away at the ice, hoping to chip and crack the ice. "We'll g't y'u outta 'ere dun' worry" he mumbled in a boyish tone with his mouthful of stone. Dropping the stone between his paws for a moment, the lion would throw back his head and give a couple of urgent snarls as loud as he could project his voice, then grip the stone back between his teeth and resume his rescue mission.

Swim swim swim! That's what he was doing! Around in circles! Up and down! Side to side! It was all so fun! The dolphin gave a happy laugh as he swam beneath the waves. A few fish scattered from him when they saw the large mammal swim by. At first he wasn't attempting to fish, only to swim. Then, he felt the grumbling in his stomach and knew that he must hunt. Hunting was easy though. The fish were slow and he was fast so within minutes he snapped up a pair of fish to satisfy his need for hunger. Perfect!

After he satisfied his hunger he heard a distorted mewling from the surface of the waves. It was like Leader-Cancer but not like him. Curious he poked his head up above the water, a few yards away and saw two feline-like creatures but one of them was entrapped totally in ice! Oh dear! That wasn't good. One of the little felines that looked a lot like Makyna only more hairy began chinking at the ice. That was no good. Looked like they needed a dolphin's touch!

So, while Hairy-Makyna chinked away at the ice Eeya ducked beneath the surface of the water but only just so so that he could line up his beak. Then, he powered his tail and zoomed straight for the ice. Then he leaped! While in the air he sang, "Dananana! Dolphin, poooweeeeeer!" While he launched at the Ice-Cat.

But apparently his calibrations were off and he missed the Ice-Cat and landed next to it. On his belly... on the land while his tail helplessly splashed the water. "Oh no! Eeya no can swim on land! Help! Help!" He sang sadly, a note of panic in his voice.

Boon was wandering her home, grinning as she took in all of the wonderful, spectacular sights to behold. There were so many wonderful things to look at and smells to sniff! It was fun! It was hers! As the tiny white cub came around the corner, though, she gasped. There were creatures! Like her, but not! There were to furry ones, like her and her sissy, but one was all shiny and wet- and now, crying out! Oh dear! It needed help! The cub ran head-long towards the group.

"Boon help! Boon help!" The young cub cried and she angled herself around to run straight towards Eeya. She lowered her head at the last second and charged faster. She'd head-butt the shiny wet thing back into the water! Then it'd be happy again, and she'd be a hero! If only she could build up the right momentum, the right angle...

...and to her delight and dismay, she was right on the mark! The cub barreled into the dolphin at an alarming speed, and the resulting collision sent the aquatic gembound rolling into the water. At the same time, she'd bounce backwards, rolling a few times before planting her bum to the cold ground with a hard thump! That had hurt! But she'd did it! Elated, her excitement overwhelmed her pain and Boon jumped to her feet again. "Boon help! Boon help slippy!"

Yup, this was definitely not going as planned. Fallah would have collapsed of embarrassment by now if it wasn’t for the ice pulling pretty much all the fur on the lynx’s body from every angle. Grumbling lightly, the cat settled for standing. A… something came out and started chipping at the ice. Chipping with what? Fallah’s eyes widened. The feline did not want to get stabbed when the ice broke, “Careful…” it whispered. Fallah’s breath quickened. There was another noise. It flopped. What was flopping on the ground? What could even do that? Fallah could only see the shape and did not recognize that animal. The lynx moved to back away, but it only succeeded in getting its fur pulled more. There was another shape and it… it… it headbutt the other creature back into the water. Was that supposed to help or be an attack? Guessing by the animals’ words they were all trying to help, but nothing was working too well. The new shape had rolled back, sitting on its butt. If only moo friend, big dark friend, or long brown friend were here, they would save the cat for sure. Struggling against the ice ferociously, Fallah attempted to break free.

The ice cracked and technically the lynx could move now, but the large chunks of ice still cling to its fur, weighing it down and making it slow. Fallah struggled under the ice, still obviously in need of more help.

The boy worked hard at chinking away the ice. It was useful, but only small shards came out – after all, the ice had formed through magic, and magic that went very wrong was oftentimes very powerful. Usui continued to use the pebble but the ice was hardly yielding to him. The lynx whispered for him to be careful, to which the boy nodded, and set down the rock. He would have to try something else.

Just then, the water in crystal river swirled. Was that…another Aquarian? To his utmost shock, a gem-encrusted dolphin soared through the air towards them. He shrieked and moved back two steps. What was this thing that looked so happy? It was going to endanger them all! But the slippery grey creature did an arc and landed uselessly, sliding to the side of them. It chattered sadly and the boy started to move forward to help push it back into the water, when yet another came into the scene. He whipped his head around and saw a mini leon – except, she was white and seemed more furry. Yelling some things about help, she thundered forward and pushed the dolphin back into the water, and ended up skidding on the ice. Meanwhile, the lynx had managed to crack the ice but not to much avail.

"Stop that! Y’ hurtin’ y’self” he commanded the lynx, leaving both the dolphin and the cub to clear their mess. The lynx was his top priority. What could he do, what could he do! His magic, surely there was more to it! "Hold tight!” he commanded, and jumped stood in front of the lynx. He concentrated his magic on the tip of his paws, and his black jade started to give off a smoky glow.

He did it! The ground rumbled beneath him, surely disorienting the lynx since he was standing directly in front of her. But most of all, the ice rumbled, and the vibrations caused the water to crack from the base. Fallah would be able to get free now. The large chunks around her limbs broke off. All she had to do now was thaw the remaining pieces on her fur. That is – if she could regain her balance first after what the cub did.

Oh, what a world! Here was Eeya the poor spinner dolphin stuck on land after so valiantly trying to help. True, even if he had succeeded in hitting the ice he possibly could have been stuck on land anyway but this didn't cross Eeya's mind. He had only wanted to help and now he could do nothing but flop his tail around uselessly. Oh, would he stay here forever?

Fortunately for him his salvation came.

A polar bear cub came and slammed her shoulder into him. The force rolled him --head over fin-- back into the waves with a loud splash. For a moment the only thing Eeya did was sink slowly downwards, winded because of the blow. However, he quickly regained himself and quickly powered back up to the surface in a breach. The dolphin left the water and did a dazzling spinning breach where his gem twinkled brilliantly in the light. "Eeya is back in waters! Thank-you, friend!" He called to the polar bear before landing back in the water.

He quickly turned back around and poked his head up out of the surface near the shore, watching the goings-ons of the other creatures. It appeared that the lynx was now free of the ice! Yay! Everyone was free! Though it looked like some of them might be disoriented from whatever the lion had just done. "Is all good? All creatures is free and happy?" If yes then they could probably all go for a swim!
