Where his first few attempts at using his spell had not done much, other than to shake things around, this one seemed to be more affective. The ground began to shake and rock, nearly knocking the Fossa over. He had to crouch, digging his claws into the dirt, to keep from being knocked over.

Over the tremoring, he could make out a series of soft clinking noises. The corpse seemed to collapse, although it kept convulsing and snapping. Looking around, the wind hopper was nowhere to be seen, but he could hear it squeaking under the gem pile. He felt bad, but the wind hopper seemed to be beyond saving, if it was trying to serve this corpse.

As he began to back off, he channeled more of his Magick into the ground, moaning quietly as pain shot through his Gem.

With the continued shocks the rat bounced onto its side, more bones being broken with individual quiet snaps. While even after the spell had faded it still gnashed angrily as the fossa for a moment it eventually stopped, frozen still in mid-motion.

In an explosion of energy, the poor betrayed bunny jumped out from under the pile of gems that had ensnared it and dashed toward its fallen friend. The wind hoper's face was plastered in worry as it approached the corpse turning to rage as it glanced at the gembound responsible for their condition. Evil, evil! The corruption had done this. They had tried to be nice, invited the strange gem into their waystation and this is how they repaid them? Hurt their friend and mess up their work?

Would they try to kill bunny next too? Oh no. No no no. They had to run, get more. Save their friend then come back to remove corruption from poor misguided gem. The bunny grabbed the rat corpse by one of its spikes and began to dash for the door.

His Gem-eye throbbed. The Fossa moaned quietly, struck dumb by the pain. It would seem he'd used too much of his strength, too much of his Magick, as a throbbing headache began to set in. He gasped, reaching up to paw at his eye, unaware of the zombie rat thrashing on the ground.

However, the clattering of falling gems made him return to his senses. The Fossa looked up, seeing the windhopper darted towards the corpse. He couldn't help but to flinch at the look of sheer rage on its face, cringing back. He did feel bad, it was clear the wind hopper meant well, but was misguided by that... that thing. "I'm sorry," he sighed, before spinning around and running away, attempting to dash out the door.

The windhopper skidded to a stop as the other dashed to the door as well, no doubt in an attempt to intercept it. Was hurting its friend not enough? Did the mean guest want to hurt them too? The bunny wan't a fighter, but they would defend their friend no matter what!

The creature released its hold on the broken rat corpse and lowered its body. A high-pitched noise filled the hidden cavern as they watched the retreating fossa intensely.

Mongo hesitated as he saw the pusillanimous Windhopper drop the rat, feeling guilt boil low in his stomach. But... he had to do it. The rat was not right, it was harming things. And it would have hurt him.

So, with a heavy heart, he turned, and fled from the cave, intending on going far, far away from here, struggling to ignore the high-pitched noise that echoed in his ears.
